Hi,
We keep getting this notification: PHP Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the wpdatatables domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 6.7.0.)
I have noticed that many other people reported this and you replied saying that it’s not important but it is important as we have loops leading to traffic spike and this is causing CPU over usage. Can you please share a quick fix to my email? I ama very old customer and our support is expired. And I cannot renew our support for this, normally this issue should be fixed longtime ago. But I see it is not: so please provide a quick fix. If not I will have to disable the plugin and find another alternative. Thanks.
Hello,
Could you please confirm if you’re using the latest version of our plugin?
Also, please send us a copy of your System Info from the wpDataTables dashboard so we can review details such as your WordPress version, PHP version, and other relevant environment information.
I will pass the PHP warnings/notices you reported to our developers so they can check whether this has already been addressed in an upcoming update, or if not, create a task to resolve it in a future release.
Please note that these are warnings and should not affect the plugin’s functionality. Could you confirm whether you are experiencing any actual issues with tables, charts, or general plugin behavior?
Currently, we test the plugin with PHP 7.4 (minimum requirement since wpDataTables 6.0), as well as PHP 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. I have also personally tested it on PHP 8.3 and 8.4. Based on this, we can confirm there are no functionality issues, although warnings or notices may appear if WP_DEBUG is enabled.
For production/live websites, we recommend keeping WP_DEBUG disabled.
Our developers are continuously working on eliminating all PHP warnings and notices in future updates. In the meantime, please check if WP_DEBUG is enabled on your server. If it is, try disabling it and see if the messages disappear. In that case, the plugin should continue working normally without any impact on functionality.
If you prefer not to share your System Info here, you can open a private ticket through our main support:
You will find the chat box on our

If you don’t have a license, you can still ask any question and our agents will gladly assist you there.

Hello. I’m interested in purchasing this plugin. The demo page loads, but only the first demo chart appears, the remaining demo charts fail to load. Could you please check and fix this? Also, let me know when the demos are fixed. Thank you
Hello,
I’m not able to find any of our demo pages where a chart is not loading. What you experienced was most likely a cache-related issue.
Our website uses a large number of server-side processing tables, and we also have active caching enabled. Because of this, there can be moments when a table or chart on a specific page does not load correctly. In such cases, a cache purge resolves the issue, which is why we regularly clear our cache to minimize this behavior.
We’ve explained this specific scenario in detail in our FAQ article here:
Server-side processing issues with caching in wpDataTables – how to fix them
If you notice that one or more charts on our demo pages are not loading correctly, please try an “Empty cache and hard reload” (for example, in Google Chrome). This will ensure you’re viewing the most up-to-date version of the page.
If the issue persists after that, please send us the exact URL of the page in question. We’ll gladly double-check whether a cache purge is needed or if there’s something new we should investigate further.
Also, just to clarify — if by “demos” you meant our Demo Sandbox, please let us know with more details.
You can fully test all premium features before purchase on our Sandbox here:
https://sandbox.wpdatatables.com/
If you need any assistance or have additional questions, please open a ticket through our main support channel. You’ll find the chat box on our website. You can attach your Envato invoice if you already own a license. If you don’t have a license yet, you’re still very welcome to ask questions — our team will be happy to assist.

Thanks for your reply. The demo I was referring to is actually this link https://wpdatatables.com/cc/ . It is not showing all the demos. I just wanted to see the charts, tables, histograms, and all the other things this plugin is capable of. Thanks for your response.
I am also uploading a screenshot of what I see in the demo https://snipboard.io/NZzLCK.jpg . I cleaned the cache, but I still see the same issue. It shows “loading,” but nothing appears except one table.
Hello again,
Thank you for the details (and the screenshot) — that helped us pinpoint the exact page you meant.
You’re right: on https://wpdatatables.com/cc/ some demo sections are currently not loading as expected (they remain on “Loading…”).
I’ve reported this to our team so we can investigate and restore the page to its full working state as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you can still explore a full set of working examples and feature overviews here:
• More Tables & Charts Examples – categorized examples of tables and charts
• Showcase – real-world examples and use cases built with wpDataTables
• Features overview – a complete breakdown of what the plugin can do
You can also fully test wpDataTables features in our Sandbox (create/edit tables, check settings, and explore configurations):
https://sandbox.wpdatatables.com/
If you have a specific feature you’d like to confirm before purchase (charts, filtering, large tables, responsiveness, etc.), feel free to message us via our support form and we’ll gladly point you to the best matching demo or example:

Hello TMS,
It is not longer possible to activate the plugin via Envato API. As soon as I login to my Envato account Im getting::
{ “error”: “invalid_request”, “error_description”: “Wrong RedirectUri provided” }
Please fix the redirect URL:
https://api.envato.com/authorization?response_type=code&client_id=tms-plugins-ifvhknof&redirect_uri=https://store.melograno.io/api/activation/envato/callbackThank you!
Hello,
My sincere apologies for the long waiting time, and thank you for reporting this issue.
We have escalated this to our developers with the highest urgency, as it appears to be related to the Envato API activation redirect URI flow.
They are currently investigating, and we will update you as soon as we have more information or a fix/workaround available.

PLEASE HELP
On my live site, suddenly it stopped working. Please see the screenshots https://imgur.com/a/y5p5dPv
Data source is Google Sheet. As you can see in the screenshots when having data (208 rows) in the Google Sheet, all of sudden it started to display “no data available in the table”
wpDataTables by TMS-Plugins – 7.3
Thank you
Since purchasing your plugin, this is my first attempt to use it. It worked with Google Sheets for a couple of days but then suddenly stopped, even though nothing changed on the Google Sheets side or elsewhere.
It takes a long time to get responses, and because the plugin is currently running on my live website, it doesn’t look good. Unfortunately, my 6-month support period has already expired, even though I never really had the chance to use it properly.
Would it be possible for you to email me so we can quickly resolve these urgent issues?
Thank you.
Hello,
We have a number of users who reported the same issue.
One of the users reported back and mentioned it seemed to be an issue caused on Google’s side, and they pushed a fix in the meantime.
We checked all the reports and it looks like the Pages our users sent us now have tables loading without errors.
Can you double-check and see if it’s fixed for you as well?
If you still experience the issue, please open a ticket on our main support and we’ll help directly. You can follow this guide:

Hi, I constantly having an error “There was an error while trying to save the table!error. There has been a critical error on this website.” while trying to create a data table linked to an existing data source – both for XML and Google Sheets !! I verified System Info (Server, Wordpress, Theme, Plugins) , all checked. XML source is verified. I also disabled every single plugin except wpDataTable to test but still no luck ! Wordpress and your plugin are up to date. Fyi: I followed along your video as well – https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-wpdatatables/creating-wpdatatables-from-xml/ SO what is the problem here?
Thank you
??
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out.
Regarding the issue:
1. Please confirm how many rows in total your file has?
2. Check if you can get the WP_DEBUG error report from your hosting server support for the exact time when the issue happened.
It could reveal the exact error — for example, you may have reached your PHP TimeOut limit or PHP Memory limit on the server.
In order for the table linked from a file to generate in the back-end, your WordPress hosting server needs to have enough PHP TimeOut limit to process the table.
Front-end performance depends on the number of rows:
- 2,000–5,000 rows: Enable our Cache option and optionally Auto Update Cache to set the “update from source” interval via a Cron Job.
- Over 5,000 rows: Switch to an imported table. This uses server-side processing to load only one page of the table at a time via AJAX, compared to linked tables which load all rows into the HTML of the page (which can slow down or freeze the browser).
How to contact support with your premium license
Send us your source file there and we will be able to investigate further.
Kind regards.

Regarding your questions:
1. The file currently has only 6 rows — this is just for testing. In production, it will not exceed 600 rows.
2. WP_DEBUG is active — you can view the error log here: https://imgur.com/LCoKs3S
System info: https://imgur.com/8FQaWMf
Screenshot of the error on the plugin dashboard: https://imgur.com/a/fHvPq9E
PHP limits have been checked and are sufficient. Wordpress site has only wpDataTables 7.3 WP Version: 6.8.2
Thank you for your help
Hello,
Thank you for this update.
1. The row number will not be an issue in that case. WordPress and our plugin can handle anything up to around 5,000 rows, and you currently have a very small data set.
2. Thank you for sharing the WP_DEBUG log.
You are using the latest wpDataTables 7.3, which is good.
3. It seems the issue might be related to the source URL you are using for the XML data.
In your screenshot, the URL does not end with the file extension (for example: www/yourSite/YourFileName.xml) but instead ends with something like tr:2579/api/stock.
You can test with our own sample XML file:
https://wpdatatables.com/sample_files/cars_dummy_db.xml
If this works without errors on your site, then the issue is not with our plugin, but rather with either:
- The formatting of your source file
- Or the URL structure itself.
Please ensure your URL points directly to the file (ending with .xml), or review the formatting of your XML file following our documentation:
https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-wpdatatables/creating-wpdatatables-from-xml/
Important note from documentation:
When working with XML format please note that wpDataTables presently accepts this, and only this, format of XML (see the example): A single root node with several child nodes (one level), where each child node will be treated as a row, and the child row attributes as cells. If your software does not return this format, you would need to prepare (for example) a PHP adapter to return one of the formats wpDataTables would accept.
4. If you still cannot isolate the issue, please open a ticket on our main support channel as explained here:
https://help.wpdatatables.com/en/articles/39-how-to-contact-support-with-your-premium-license
One of our agents will then request more details and help you further.

Thank you for the clarification. I’ll try the XML file you provided.
In the meantime, I used my Google Sheets as the source and connected it to the site succesfully. Everything works perfectly except for one issue: the decimals are getting shifted during the integration. For example, in Google Sheets the value shows as -912.00, but in wpDataTable it appears as -91.200. I’ve attached screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/z6FOxzN
Why is this happening? and What is the solution?
Thank you
Hello,
Apologies for the late reply.
Regarding the decimals issue:
Please check the Main Plugin settings and match the same Number format as your data source.
Also, make sure you set the correct value for the Decimal places option.
By default, our plugin uses the US format (15.000,00).
Looking at your screenshot and the number sample -912.00, it seems you should change it to the EU format (15,000.00).
Then, set the decimal places to 2.
After refreshing your table, this should fix the issue.
If you still can’t isolate the problem, please open a support ticket directly by following this guide:

Hello,
I have the Envato plugin active on the website and followed the instructions provided. The API key is being accepted, but the plugin doesn’t appear in my dashboard so I can activate it. Any ideas?
Hello,
I’m sorry, but we’re not fully understanding the exact steps of the issue.
From what you described, it seems you went into our plugin’s Settings → Activation tab in your WP-Admin backend — and there, you clicked the “Activate with Envato” button, which takes you through the Envato API activation process.
Then, the activation appears to be successful (the key is accepted), but after that, the plugin disappears from your WP-Admin dashboard?
We haven’t seen anything like this before, so it’s possible we’re misunderstanding the issue slightly.

Hello i would like to know if the wpDataTables here is pro version or standard ?
Hello there,
Our sincere apologies for the late reply. We’ve been handling an unusually high number of support requests recently, and unfortunately, this caused some delays in getting back to everyone. We really appreciate your patience and understanding.
In regard to your question:
The Envato wpDataTables license is equivalent to our Lifetime Standard license plan when compared to the plans available on our official TMS Store.
There are a few important differences to note:
- When purchasing from Envato, you receive limited premium support — by default 6 months, with an option to extend to 12 months.
- On our TMS Store, a Lifetime license includes premium support with no expiration.
- We also offer higher-tier plans on our site, such as Pro and Developer, which are not available on Envato.
- There is also a difference in pricing between the platforms.
You can explore all available plans on our Pricing Page.
To help you decide, you can use the “Compare plans by feature” button on that page for a full side-by-side feature breakdown.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact our Support Team via the live chat box in the bottom right corner of our website — we’re always happy to assist!

Can you please assist in fixing the bug please? It is giving an issue. I spent a lot of money to buy a lifetime product, but didn’t get any support, and it is not working. Multiple tickets have been created, and they have not been replied to for weeks. No one is taking any action.
Hello,
Firstly, our sincere apologies—there was an issue with our main support system on the premium TMS Store (Ticksy) side.
We’ve now added a new AI-assisted chat system, which you can access from our main website (https://wpdatatables.com/). Just look for the chat box in the bottom right corner. If you request human support, the system will immediately connect you with one of our agents.
In order to help us locate your ticket and check whether it has already been replied to, please send us either the ticket URL, ticket ID, or the email address used to open the ticket (if the ticket is still pending in the Ticksy system). We’ll make sure to check everything for you.
We tried searching for your name (dineshparajuli) in the system, but we couldn’t find any matching customer account.
Kind regards,

I have a sheet with almost a million rows whats the best way to add it as a table , i want to hide the table till someone one search then show only that row
Hello,
In regards to importing the data via a file,
Data that has more than a few thousand rows can sometimes not be imported this way directly via the plugin (depending on the server) — this is a limitation coming from WordPress itself combined with server performance.
But, there is a solution.
If you encounter errors and the import doesn’t work directly through our plugin, you can import the file (Excel or CSV) directly into your database via a database management tool such as phpMyAdmin.
Then, you can create a simple SQL query-based table from this database table using a query like:
SELECT * FROM table_1
This table will use our server-side (lazy load) feature, as explained in this documentation.
Just make sure to avoid selecting “ALL” in the “Rows per page” settings under the table’s Display options to prevent crashing the page. Instead, use our Custom Rows Per Page. option to define available pagination values.
2. To hide the table before the user searches or filters:
You can use our “Hide table before filtering” feature, available via our premium add-on
Powerful Filters.
If you have any additional questions about this use case, please don’t hesitate to open a new ticket directly on our site.
Just use the chat box in the bottom right corner of the page.

By any chance do you have a video on how to do so ?
is there a reason why the filter does not show any results on large database when choosing sql , ill tried many times no filter works
Hello,
1. In regards to the video, I’m not entirely sure which part you’re referring to.
- Do you mean a video demonstrating how to import a CSV/Excel file into your database via PHPMyAdmin,
and then create an SQL Query table using our plugin from that data?
2. Or are you referring to a video showing how the “Hide table before filtering” feature works in the Powerful Filters add-on?
We can certainly take both suggestions into consideration and will do our best to create a video tutorial on our YouTube channel.
Feel free to subscribe to our wpDataTables channel and stay tuned.
3. Regarding filtering issues with SQL Query tables — as mentioned in our SQL documentation:
Our logic is based on a PHP SQL parser, which fully supports the SQL dialect for the following statement types:
SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, REPLACE, RENAME, SHOW, SET, DROP, CREATE INDEX, CREATE TABLE, EXPLAIN and DESCRIBE.
Please note that some of these are disabled for security reasons.
Filtering, sorting, and search may not work properly if your query includes:
- Accent graves (`) around the table name
- JOIN functions
- UNION functions
- CONCAT functions
- Sub-queries
SELECT * FROM view1If you’re still unable to resolve the filtering issue, please open a support ticket on our main site.
You will find the chat box on our website — simply attach your Envato invoice if you own a license.

Google sheets option not working anymore?
Hello,
Google has recently updated its security policies, affecting how Google Spreadsheets connect to third-party applications.
As a result, existing spreadsheets created before this change will continue to work without issues. However, newly created Google Sheets will encounter connection errors due to these updated security protocols.
For the newly created Google Sheets with wpDataTables, you’ll need to connect your Google API service account in the plugin settings/Google Spreadsheet API settings.
You can check more details about this updated integration here.
Once your Google API service account is added to our plugin, you won’t need to repeat this step, and all Google Sheets functionalities will work as before.

Thank you in advance

Hello,
Are you trying to insert an Envato licence key into the TMS Store licence field?
Since you bought the plugin through the Envato marketplace, you don’t need the purchase code to activate the license. The “Purchase Code” field is reserved for purchases made through our (TMS Store) website and needs to stay blank when you’re activating with Envato.
So, all you need to do is click on “ACTIVATE WITH ENVATO”, and the plugin will take you to the Envato log-in page, where (upon logging in) the license will be activated.
If you encounter any further issues, please contact our main Support Team, on our Site, find the chat box at the bottom right corner. Please note, it is not a live chat, but we respond as quickly as possible.

All my theme forest products never expired the license, I don´t want support I just need to use what I paid for. How do I resore my license? I won’t pay again.
Hello,
Firstly, my sincere apologies for not replying to your post sooner.
We had some issues with our support system’s notifications, but this has now been fixed, and it will not happen again going forward.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
When it comes to your questions:
1. Regarding the technical functionality of the plugin:
If you purchased wpDataTables on Envato/CodeCanyon, you can manually download the latest version’s installation file from your Envato account and update the plugin manually.
All functionality will remain the same, and you will not lose any data—your tables and charts will continue working as expected.
2. When it comes to license activation for updates via WordPress :
You are trying to insert an Envato licence key into the TMS Store licence field.
Now, regarding support:
After one year, you lose access to our premium support.
The license purchased on Envato is equivalent to our Standard Lifetime license from the TMS Store.
You can compare all the features of our plans on our site’s pricing page: [https://wpdatatables.com/pricing/](https://wpdatatables.com/pricing/).

Dear TMS Plugins Support Team,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to inquire about our wpDataTables Basic Plan subscription, which we purchased over four years ago. I would like to clarify a few points:
After the one-year subscription period ends, does the plugin remain functional without technical support, or does the functionality of the plugin itself stop as well? In case it is necessary to renew the subscription to access full functionality, could you please provide the following details: The steps required to renew the subscription. The cost of renewal for the Basic Plan. Whether there are any discounts available for existing or long-term users. Additionally, we noticed that a discount is currently being advertised. How can we take advantage of this discount? Also, why are the prices not displayed on the website, and why are we unable to click the purchase button?
Your assistance in addressing these questions would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to your response. Best regards,
Hello,
Firstly, my sincere apologies for not replying to your post sooner.
Some specific features, such as HighCharts Stock Charts and Folders, are only available in the Pro and Developer plans and are not included in the Standard license.

Hello,
My apologies once again, we misunderstood your inquiry at first, because this Support section is made only for users who purchase our license via the Envato Marketplace.
It seems you purchased your license directly from our TMS Store, as a Basic subscription Plan.
If that is the case, we will advise you with a corrected reply:
When you purchase a wpDataTables subscription license on our TMS Store, the renewal process is automatic.
It is handled by our reseller, Paddle, and the payment card or PayPal you use during the purchase is linked to the subscription.
The renewal happens each year on the date and time of the purchase.
A discount can’t be applied to renewals.
Discounts can only be applied to a new license purchase and last only through the first year of the subscription.
Now, if your license expired, there is no way to renew it.
You would need to purchase a new license in that case.
In regards to the functionality:
You won’t lose any functionality and all data will remain the same, you just lose our premium support and the ability to update the plugin to new versions.
The last version you had before the license expired would keep functioning.
It is best if you can ask for more details on our Main Site, find the chat box on the bottom right, and our Main Support there can advise you in full detail about this subject.
Please note, it is not a live chat, but we do our best to reply as quickly as possible

Initializing multiple DataTables on a single page is not functioning correctly when using Elementor’s shortcode widget, text widget, or accordion widget (especially nested ones). The CSS fails to load properly, the skeleton loader does not appear at all.
Additionally, the following error is occasionally triggered: Caught Error: DataTables warning: table id=table_1 – Cannot reinitialise DataTable.
This error occurs even when no duplicate DataTables have been added.
Environment Details: - WordPress Version: 6.6.2 - Classic Editor Version: 1.6.7 - Elementor Version: 3.26.3 - Elementor Pro Version: 3.26.2 - wpDataTables Version: 7.1
Hello,
Firstly, I sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Thank you for this report.
My apologies, I first wrote an original reply not realising that you already have the latest 7.1 version installed, and then we edited the response.
We previously fixed some Elementor issues in this release, but it seems you have a new/specific issue on your Site, which we haven’t seen before.
We are unable to reproduce this and at the moment, you are the only user who reported it, so please open a Support ticket here https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ and one of our agents will ask you additional questions to help isolate the issue, then they will advise you in full details.
It is best if you can send them the URL of your Page there. If the page contains any sensitive details or needs a logged user, make sure to send that as a PRIVATE message, for security reasons – then only they can see it.
If your premium support expired, you can open a Pre-Purchase ticket here, so you won’t have to input any licence key : https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/submit/#100010481
Kind regards.

Hi there,
I’m working with a client site that has this plugin installed and they had one of their editors trying to create and update records in one of the tables on the site, but they couldn’t do anything—it just kept them giving errors on the screen. But when I went to recreate the issue in my account, I had no problem.
I dug into the code and found that you have a current_user_can('administrator') conditional around the nonce on that page, making it so that only users with administrator capabilities can edit tables?
From what I can tell, it’s been like this all along, based on this comment from a few years ago.
Is there any possibility of lowering that to something like edit_posts or publish_pages in a future update? Or even adding in a way to let site owners change it with a filter or something? Maybe create your own custom capability that gets added to the administrator role which they can add to editors and authors if they want?
Also worth noting, this site and this user has a custom user role, not one of the standard Administrator/Editor/Author roles. Most capabilities match that of admin, except of course for administrator and the capabilities related to plugins, themes, and users. They can manage_options though, which is probably why they can see the wpDataTables screens in the dashboard in the first place.
Anyway, just thought I’d send those thoughts your way to see if it’s an adjustment you might be able to consider making some day. In all honesty, I don’t even know if they have a valid support license at this point. I was just asked to diagnose a problem.
Thanks for your time!
If you are looking at it, I should also mention that for both the Administrator and custom user role, the nonce field is output with the form markup where you’d expect, so maybe it’s an issue with permissions while checking that?
It’s also very likely that I’m just way off.
Either way, would be cool if editors could work with the table data, understandable if they can’t.
Thanks again!

1. In regards to this front-end editing issue :
Yes, this is a built-in feature for editing and you can easily modify the “Editor roles” for each table.
In our older Plugin versions, this was set to “Everyone”, so any user role and non-logged visitors could edit a table on front end by default.
Then several users reported a vulnerability for the front-end when it is set to “everyone”, so we changed the default option to “Administrator only”.
You can go into the table’s back-end settings, in the “Editing” tab, then under “Editor roles”, you can assign the user roles which should have front-end editing permissions.
You can see more details on our editing options documentation.
2. When it comes to back-end access to tables on WP-Admin : We don’t have a built-in option which can set specific User Roles to be able to see/create/edit Tables/Charts on the back end.
At the moment, only Administrators can see the Tables on Back-End.
If you need to allow another user role ( other than Administrators) to see the tables in back-end, you can enable ”manage_options” capability through User Role Editor, either to a User specifically, or to a User Role;
Then that user Role will be able to see and edit tables on back-end.
If you wish to see a built-in option to achieve assigning who can see tables for the back-end :

Hello,
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
In regards to your use case, I am sorry to disappoint you, but we currently don’t have any way to use a PDF document as a data source for any table.
If you wish to see that in the future, you can make a development suggestion.
Please feel free to search on our suggestions page, to see if someone may be already suggested this feature.

Pre-purchase inquiry Does this purchase support multisite? Thank you
Hello,
Yes, if you purchase the licence here on Envato side, it covers one domain, but an unlimited number of sub-domains / sub-sites.
So, for example, if you have all your sub-sites under the same domain, you can activate the licence on all of them without issues.
Later on, you will also be able to easily migrate all data, if you change to another domain;
If you also need to move the licence activation to another domain, there are two ways :
- If you have access to WP-Admin on the old domain, just log in and in our Plugin activation settings hit “deactivate” button on the Envato activation; then log in the new domain and in our Activation settings there you can ‘activate via Envato API’ on the respective button.
If you don’t have access to the old domain – you can simply open a private support ticket (https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com) and we can deactivate it for you if needed.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Kind regards.

We bought the powerful filtering for various reasons. However, does it allow for an “OR” filter where either value selected in a dropdown will filter the table. It seems that only AND filtering (or cascading) is working. We need for it to match either value.
Hello,
For the moment, we don’t have a built-in solution, but there is a custom workaround. We will go in more details.
The logic for checkboxes and multiSelectBox column filters in our plugin is “OR” by default in cases when we only filter inside one column.
For filtering combined between multiple columns, then our plugin’s default logic is as “AND”, so it does not work as intended in your use-case by default.
Here is a workaround you can do, this works only for “server-side” processing tables (https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/table-features/server-side-processing/), which are Manual Tables ( they always have server-side processing enabled), and SQL Query-based tables ( for them we can toggle server-side processing within Data Source settings).
Find this PHP file of our Plugin via your Hosting FTP, located in this path :
..wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wpdatatable.php
around line 2433, find this piece of code :
$search .= ' AND ';
replace it with :
$search .= ’ OR ’;
Important to note : When you update our plugin, this code will revert back to default, so at each update, you would have to edit this piece of the code.
This is then going to be applied for all tables in your plugin and not just for checkbox filtering, but for filtering of all other columns, because the filtering goes through the same logic in our plugin,
and the “link” between columns is “AND” by default, as mentioned.
For tables that are “non server side processing”, which are tables linked with data source or SQL Tables with disabled server-side option, at the moment we do not have a workaround, for these kinds of tables you could only try to devise a completely custom solution, or to integrate the search builder extension for DataTables (https://datatables.net/extensions/searchbuilder/examples/initialisation/simple.html).
DataTables is the JQuery plugin that our plugin is based upon.
I hope this helps.
