1) If you want to display the color swatches or brand images, please follow the instructions from this page (it is only available for taxonomies) – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/brands-and-color-swatches/
2) Range slider can be created from the numerical custom fields or taxonomy numerical. It is only working with numbers. So if you have a taxonomy with only numerical values, you can choose Taxonomy Numerical and create a filter from it. Or use a custom field numeric meta key in order to make a range slider from it.

Hi, with filters displayed in a hierarchical manner, is there a way to uncheck the parent term when I check the child term?
For example, we have this structure
Term 1 - Term 1.1 - Term 1.2
If I have Term 1 checked, when I check Term 1.1, I want Term 1 to be automatically uncheck so I can only see the content of Term 1.1.
I have tried to modify the input URLs using some hook but I have not been able to do so. Thanks!

No, unfortunately, there is no such functionality. This only can be created with the custom code, but even we are not sure what to recommend here as one should act like checkboxes, and the other like radio buttons, it should be a mix with the changed logic of the filtering as well.

Yes, as hierarchy only works with checkboxes. But the functionality you are looking for should contain both logic. So different branches of categories could be selected as checkboxes, but their sub-ones should work like radio buttons.
It is possible to work with the URL with custom code, and regex to delete not needed parts, but in general, there are no easy ways to make it work like you want.
You can try to do some with templates overriding – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/ but again it would require writing your own logic in order to make it work as you need.

There is a stock quantity filter _stock as a “Custom Field Numeric” in order to have a range slider where you can specify the needed stock quantity of the product. For example, between 10 to 20.

I’m using Filter Everything Pro, and trying to get it to work with the Assorted Products for Woocommerce plugin. I’ve added the filter, but I guess it’s having trouble finding the Query, as it says “No WP Queries matched the post type “Products” found on the page. Is there a way that I can get Filter Everything to play nice with Assorted Products?

Does it work normally without this Assorted Products for Woocommerce plugin? As far as we know it adds a new product type. There are singular, and variable, and this plugin adds one named assorted.

Hi Victor. Yes, Filter Everything works just fine for everything else. The Assorted Products plugin creates a new product type, which then can list several other regular (singular) products, which can be selected and then bundled and put in the cart.
I’m injecting Filter Everthing with “echo do_shortcode” in functions.php, which works just fine – the filter is displayed on the assorted product page, though no filter options are displayed, unless I force them, by doing an “include terms” in the options for the specific Filter. The products on the assorted products page, are also affected, when I try to use the filter, but it detects no products whithin the selected terms, and just reloads all products after selecting a term.
I’ve tried to enable Ajax in the Filter Everything options, and select several different classes that could be considered the container of the products on the Assorted Product page, but it dosent work either.

We have checked the site, and it looks like the issue here is that they are not displayed via WP_Query, more likely they are fetched via API or in any other custom way. You can send them a request to the support and ask if there is a possible way to display them via WP_Query.

Hi there, My woocommerce shop page filter isn’t filtering, but the checklist changes when I check a box, and some items grey out due to the filter appearing to work – but the product list remains/reloads the same.
I have successfully applied a different filter to another page using the shortcode, but when using the Widget in the shop, it’s not working. I had to make the shop page full-width again to remove the filter as it’s too confusing for my customers, so you can’t see it in action, but I can send you a video/screen shots and any other information you need to help.

More likely in the filter set for the shop page, you need to change the query in the “And what to filter?” dropdown for another one in order to filter your products.

I have tried all three options in the What to Filter section, and the result is always the same.
Unfortunately I cannot provide admin access for privacy reasons, as we are a health provider.
But I can turn it on right now, if you are around, for you to check? I will turn it on for 15 minutes!
It is an absolutely safe procedure, and we have been providing it for more than two years already without any issues. But, also you can simply remove the access to the information that you are worrying about. So we can have access to the filter plugin only and so on.

Basically, you need to activate the license on the site where you are using the plugin. If you want to change the domain, you can deactivate the license from the old site and activate it on the new one. You have the ability to activate the license on two sites.

If the plugin uses CPT and has the ability to display its CPT posts via WP_Query on the page, then it will filter them without any issues.
Also, you can display those posts with a page builder, like Elementor with a loop grid. And filter them by taxonomies or custom fields.

We are trying to set the SEO rules, but it seems we do not understand it well enough to set up correctly.
Situation: Filter show in sidebar of Products page (/products/ [all products]) and category pages (/products/<category> [category]). Filter setting set to “all WP pages” and “all archive pages for this post type”. Filter is filtering on productcategories.
The filter and SEO rule works on the /products/ page, but not on the category pages. There it gives a 404 error.
How to show to make the filter work also on the category pages?

We have checked the site, and the issue is in the permalink manager pro plugin, which is causing conflict with the URL firewall permalink manager in our plugin.
So you can either turn off the permalink plugin. Or you can disable the filter-friendly permalink manager and filters will be like GET parameters, you can download any code snippet plugin and use this code:

Or place it in your functions.php file of your theme.

Another question. If I want to show the custom title, meta title and description. It does not seem to work with the filter in the categorie, like: /kunststof-bakken/product_group-kunststof-stapelbakken-van-hoge-kwaliteit-alpac/ but it does work on the shop page /producten/product_group-kunststof-stapelbakken-van-hoge-kwaliteit-alpac/ Is it possible to make it work on the category page also?

With SEO rules on archive category pages (taxonomy pages), you need to go to Filters -> Settings -> Indexed prefix and disable the category filter there to be able to display SEO rules on category pages.
As you cannot create SEO Rules from the category filter on the category pages, it will cause duplication issues and bad SEO practices.

So here is what we did, added another filter from the attributes, so you can create SEO Rules at least from something, as you had only a category product filter which is not possible to create SEO Rules on taxonomy pages and have indexed filter from this taxonomy.

Hello! First of all, love the plugin and customization options it offers.
I am building an ecommerce store with SEO foundations built on filters and their combinations and have a couple of questions.
1. I have added 2 custom product taxonomies: Style and Subject. I have set up a filter that includes category, style and subject taxonomies to show up on category pages. Category and Style filters work as expected, however, Subject filter doesn’t work. It shows up as a filtering option with items available, but when clicked, new URL is not opened and we are returned to the same URL, with filter not really reacting to the click. 2. Is it possible to set up an SEO rule to allow indexing a filter combination URL of the same taxonomy? For example, I have an poster that has abstract style value as well as geometric style value from my custom taxonomy. I’d like to index the filter page “Abstract Geometric Posters” – is that doable? I had trouble of setting up SEO rules to index filter combinations from the same taxonomy.

1) More likely it is the issue with the URL prefixes, you can change them in the Filters -> settings -> URL prefixes to something unique.
2) No, you cannot create SEO Rules from taxonomies filters on their taxonomy pages.
In general, there is no support for accounts whose support period has expired following the support policy.
But we can help you later after all requests from accounts with valid support periods are processed. It may take some time – days or weeks.
If you want to receive it faster, please extend your support period, and this request, will be processed in the first queue for supported accounts.

I have just sent the login credentials via DM.
We had to delete absolutely all data, Filter Sets/SEO Rules and we recreated the Filter sets with the unique URL prefixes. Seems like everything is working as it should now. But you need to create SEO Rules one more time.
It seems like there was some data corruption in the DB, not sure how it happened. But always delete filter sets from the trash and never use URL prefixes that are absolutely the same as category slugs, in order to prevent any issues in the future.

1) Yes, you can create filters from custom fields that you applied on your CPT and filter by them.
2) Yes, you can use it on your custom archive page.
3) The filter set can filter only one CPT at a time, it cannot filter multiple CPTs. So only 1 CPT per filter set.
4) Do you mean the Google Map field? Can you please provide more detailed information on how exactly you want to use it in the filtering?

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
1) You can create a custom CPT with the name “profiles” using either custom code or plugins for that
2) You can create either separate custom fields or taxonomies in order to create separate filters from them.
3) The search is working with the title and content, so you can place the needed search data like first/last names in the title, and other things in the content. The rest will be handled by the filters. Just remember, one taxonomy => one filter, you need 10 separate filters then create 10 different taxonomies for your posts type or 10 custom fields. So you can create from each of them separate filters.

Hi, I am trying to set up chips to appear. I remember when I first set it up I disabled chips. There was an option where you could turn them on/off. Or that is what I remember, I now don’t see that option anymore and I have added the shortcode [fe_chips], but they don’t show. What am I missing? Thanks

We have checked the site, and it looks like you have some issues with the WP itself or WP configurations.
Here is what we recommend to do, use a local server and install the clean WP on it, then install the WooCommerce and our plugin with Elementor PRO nothing else (leave all of the settings by default as they are), and use the default theme.
Create a page with Elementor, fe widget, and fe chips with products and see if everything will work correctly. Then try to apply the same changes you did on your site, in order to find the root of the issue that causing this.

wow, that is so much work. I disabled all plugins and still not working. I have already spent so long setting up this plugin, seo urls and everything and now this. I don’t use woocomerce on this site but you are telling me to set up a clean site with woocommerce. There should be a way to find the problem without so much work.

Well, first of all, if you have an issue with WordPress on your site, those errors and warnings can be seen in the WP monitor plugin.

Unfortunately, we are not debugging server issues and WP installation issues in order to find what exactly is causing them. That’s why recommended you use clean WP on the local server, without any modifications from your side and with or without WooCommerce depending on how you are using it, and with the default theme 2021 as it still has a widget area in order to faster testing.

We tested it many times on our back, with the local server, and on hosting, and everything is working. Even more, this is the first issue like that, we have never had such a request before, so it is unique to your case and server. So there must be something that causing this.
Also, try to downgrade your PHP version for testing to 8.0
As, for the pagination issue, if you are using the Elementor with the numerical pages it is working normally, when you are using the pagination numerical with “next, previous” it is used for some reason only the base URL to the page, ignoring the current URL with the filters. So this issue is fully addressed to the Elementor.

Hi there, it took me ages to fix the chips, now they are showing. I have fixed all the php errors, but know I notice other problem with the filtering. Sometimes when I use different filters and then use the chips to reset the filtering, loop items stay the same, so if last search was 3 items found, when you reset it, the 3 items remain, not showing all the products. Do you understand? I would share the url privatelly for you to check if you want.

You can check other filter sets and check if the correct query is chosen, it can be different and you have them quite a lot on your pages. Do not forget to hit the update button when you change the query.

Yeah, the amount of queries depends a lot on the page builder that you are using or page templates, and amount of other plugins with their functionality which can add galleries, and so on, and each of those things could take more than one query.

Hi, we setup a filter for WooCommerce products to check if they are in promotion. We did this by checking the _sale_price meta key with Custom Field Exists.
What we notice right now: that doesn’t take account of the start & end date of the promotion. So products that will be in promotion with start date next month, will be displayed by the filter, although they are not in promotion yet. How can we solve this?

Hello! I am using the FilterEverythig PRO plugin. My goal is allow front end users to filter custom post type results based on custom fields. Currently, on a test page, the filter is showing all of the options and the number of matching posts. However, when you select anything, no results are visible. The posts widget has a class of ”.hotSauceLoop”, and that is in the HTML id setting on the plugin. The shortcode is in the same container as the posts widget.
Here is a link to my test page: https://hotsaucecentral.com/test/I am thinking this has to do with the “prefix URL” section. My URLS are simply ”/hot-sauce/[Post Title]. I do not know what to enter into this field to bypass this. Each post is standalone and does not have variations.
Also, how does the sorting function work? I dont see settings for that in the widget, but the shortcode is in the documentation.

Great thank you so much. I have looked it over and I am not sure what I was missing. It is working on the reviews page now as intended. I have 2 follow up questions: 1) Is the page refresh normal when selecting a filter? 2) The documentation has a sorting widget, but I couldnt get that to work with the shortcode. Is that functionality separate from this plugin?
I did figure out the AJAX setup. I have the mobile filter showing up, but it is not appearing when you click on it. And I cant seem to figure out how to get the sorting shortcode to work without the Widgets functionality.
1) You can use AJAX functionality so it won’t refresh the page every time – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/ajax-instructions-only/
2) Yes, the sorting widget should be created in the widget area and configured there, and only then you can display it via shortcode – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/#sorting-widget

Thank you very much I got it all figured out. Found docs from Elementor to add the widgets back when using Hello Child theme. Got sorting, AJAX and filtering all working, mobile included. Thank you so much for the prompt responses! Great plugin!

Hi,
I’m having an issue displaying a filter set.
I have a CPT (uitjes), and I’m using a shortcode to paste in the filter set onto my uitjes archive page. The posts are being displayed on the archive page via the loop grid.
You can see here from the screenshot of what my filter set settings are.
However no filters are being displayed on my archive page.
Any advice is appreciated.

Unfortunately, we do not see any type of screenshots at all.
But if you have an archive page or singular page, in the “Where to filter” you should choose the taxonomy + name of the taxonomy or any taxonomy, or if this is a singular page, pages + name of the needed page.
Let us know if it helps you to display the filter on the needed page.

We have checked the site, and the issue looks like in the template that you created. We placed another filter set on the page and it gets displayed, which means that there are second entity somewhere to display the filter widget and it is hidden.
So how it is working?
You have two entities to display the filter widget
1) hidden somewhere
2) displayed
When you apply one filter set to the archive page it is displayed in the hidden entity, when you apply another filter set it is displayed in the second entity which is visible.

Hi,
I had the filter set in an off-canvas widget in my appearances > widgets page, but I didn’t have the off-canvas widget displayed anywhere. Is it possible that was what was causing the conflict? I have removed the filter set from the off-canvas widget now.
I’ve tested the uitjes archive page out incognito mode and it’s much better now.
However, if I’m logged in and I go to my archive page it looks like this:

We just simply removed the second filter set from the page and seems like everything is working well. What you saw was probably cache until you chose the filter it was going back to the filter set with higher priority.
