Yes, all of the entered keywords is checked agains each of the fields selected – meaning a match is generated if (by default) all of them match any of the fields.

This is a great plugin and I have 3 licenses. But over the last few months my two production sites repeatedly forget their purchase code, so to update it I have to go and find the code and put it back in there, which is kind of annoying. Has something changed in the way it is administrated?

Not really, but it’s going to be changed very soon to a more robust solution, which should very likely prevent these issues too. The system checks from time to time for the purchase code validity, and it has to go through multiple APIs, and if there is a considerable delay or a server is not responding then it fails. We are simplifying that so only a local database is checked.
There is also going to be possible to add your purchase codes to the support site and see where they are active, or where they were last activated on.
Hopefully we can make it easier to use as time goes by.

Hi there is an issue with the result page. 1. Its not show all the result. I have 2,000 products that the name start with the word “Chair”. when I’m trying to search it it shows me that there are 50 results and not 2,000. 2. in the results page when it should show my 5 results it show less. its show sometime under 40 and sometime under 30. (for different searches). 3. I wanted to know if there is an option to add a button “show all results” at the end of the result list

The results count is likely a misconfiguration, I recommend opening a support ticket and we will take a look.
Show all results can be added onto the live results list via these settings.

I’m afraid we can’t provide trials, but there is a completely free version here to try first. The Pro version has a more sophisticated engine (index table) which works much better for large number of items.

Do you think you could add a ‘Favorite / bookmark’ post option? Here is an example, see the ‘Hearts’ in the archive: https://wpmovies.dev/ Then if you click on a post the heart icon is there as well, and it’s showing at the top right in the menu.
Ideally it would work with the Query Loop Block.

Thank you for the suggestion. I’m not exactly sure if this would be a good core addition though. It is a nice feature, but is basically out of the scope of what the plugin represents – searching and filtering items. It looks like more of a feature for archive page layouts, so for page builders or themes.

Thanks Ernest, I understand. On a different topic, is there a way to output the search with your plugin, but via the Query Loop Block? I am asking because I would like to keep the search results visually consistent with the archives, cat, tags etc…

With the free version of your plugin, I was definitely able to use the WordPress Search Template for the output results, which I built exactly like all the other templates; using the Query Block tools, fo visual consistency.
Although, I must admit that I didn’t get a chance to use the Pro version yet! As I won’t have many posts on my website when it goes live very soon, so I just assumed that bause the Pro version has much more advanced features it might not be behave like the free version, especially when doing searches with different criterias.
Anyway, thank you for considering it, will report back when I am able to test it properly.

It could be because the woocommerce styles may not be loaded on the page – the output of that was not changed.

I just purchased this plugin and added the purchase code. I’m looking through the documentation and have noticed that my version does not have the same options available as the ones displayed in the docs. There is no layout options, no autocomplete & suggest, no relevance options, no theme options, no advanced options. Ajax Search Lite is not installed. What’s going on here?

I suspect you might be looking at the wrong menu. Make sure to create a search instance first. After that opening the search instance options (gear icon), you will see all the options you mentioned.

The demo data is not included as for each import the object IDs generated by WordPress is different and therefore it’s not possible to generate the same configuration.

I have been using Ajax Search to search and filter attachments. I have noticed that when I use the ‘Vertical Results’ or ‘Horizontal Results’ layout type, I am able to click on a result and the attachment URL opens in a lightbox. However, when I use the ‘Isotopic Result’ layout, the attachment URL opens without a lightbox. Although I prefer the look of the ‘Isotopic Result’ layout, I am wondering why the lightbox is not opening with this layout. I have activated the lightbox function in Elementor and I am not using any other plugin for the lightbox.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

My guess is that it’s because on the isotopic layout the results URL are not actually anchors but bound to an event listener. I’m not sure if there is way to get around it but I will check.

There in an issue now starting with 4.26.6 and the menu-editor of wordpress. It’s not possible to edit the menus entries anymore.
With 4.26.5: https://prnt.sc/nbavI8IQIDTc (everything fine. Menu editable as usual.) With 4.26.6: https://prnt.sc/1SjPsmGGmXif (The whole menu editing block disapeared. Just gone.)Revert back to 4.26.5 to get everything working again. Just want to inform.

The search results page is controlled by your theme (or a page builder if you use any). Try checking the theme settings or the theme editor, most modern themes have features to change the results page layout.

Sorry to bother you again. I understand that your plugin does not affect the layout of the results page, but it seems to me then, that there is something weird in my site. If I disable your plugin the layout is correct (four products per row), but if your plugin is enabled the layour is wrong. It looks like the posts per page needs to be adjusted only. By default the plugin uses the same as WooCommerce/WordPress core. You can adjust it on the back-end.

Hi. On search sources if we select only products some variable products dont show on search. if we add also the variations from post types these products appear but appear many times due to size.

Each variation is stored as a separate product “variation” in the database, so if product_variation is selected, then all the matching ones are going to be returned.
It might be possible to somehow filter them out via custom field values, but I may need to look into it directly. Please open a support ticket and I will check directly. Thanks!
