Yes you can install Smart School on local server and customize it according to your needs. With Smart School purchase you will get complete source code so if you want you can customize Smart School for your required features. Smart School built on PHP CodeIgniter framework so any developer who has some experience in PHP CodeIgniter can easily customize Smart School.

Smart School currently doesn’t support full accounting features, so fee collection payments are currently not considered income, and payroll payments are currently not considered expenses. However,  we will try to add these features and an income vs. expense report when we add accounting features in Smart School. We have plans to add full accounting features in future updates of Smart School.

Smart School regular license allows to use Smart School for single school/branch/end/client but for customer convenience registering Smart School allows to register Smart School licence code on upto 3 urls e.g. 1. However if you want to use for multiple clients then we strongly suggest you to purchase extended license of Smart School and its addon products to resell Smart School and its addons to other clients. Unfortunately currently there is no option aviliable to distribute the cost to cost centers in proportion between the branches and depreciation calculation in Smart School.
