Hi, I had to revert to release 4.4.X to have the timeline working so I don’t know it is useful to provide website access. I consider upgrading a plugin shouldn’t break functionalities brought by previous versions.

In the page editor, simply navigate to the advanced section of the shortcode block, where you will find the stories date and date format setting, you can simply change the date format from the drop-down list to (d/m/Y). Also you can add the custom date format in the date format setting simply select the custom option from the drop down, you will see a text box and in the text box you can add you own custom date format.

Since the last update a few days ago, both the headline above the timeline disappeared (not important) but most importantly, no matter what you set, the shortened text is no longer displayed by a “read more” link. The headline is linked but the shortened text no longer shows a link. We have not changed anything? What to do?

Have you ensured that the “read more” option is enabled in the settings, and have you set the content length? In the latest version of the plugin, you have the flexibility to control the “read more” option and content length directly from the shortcode block.
Please check these settings and ensure that the “read more” option is enabled, and adjust the content length setting accordingly.

we are using your plugin in the latest version 4.5.1 Since one of previous updates the design of the used timelines isn’t working correctly. We are using it since one and a half year and updates are no problem untill now. Will this issue fixed in the next update?

Let me tell you one thing this change will be temporary, after updating the plugin all the changes will be removed automatically, please take a backup if you need this code in future. Hi – I purchased Cool Timeline Pro (v4.4.3) plugin today. Prior to that I had the free version. I deactivated the old one and installed the new Pro version – installation went fine but when I click “Activate”, I get “This plugin does not have valid header” error message – I tried multiple times – no luck. I could see the folder for the plugin. Also interestingly this plugin doesn’t even show up along with all other plugins installed in my site. I am asking for a refund – but if you could make it work, it would be great.

It appears that you haven’t extracted the main Cool Timeline PRO bundle folder.
To proceed, please unzip the Cool Timeline PRO folder, where you will find the installable plugin zip file named “cool-timeline-pro-v4.4.3”.
Please install this file, “cool-timeline-pro-v4.4.3”, within your website.
Please let me know if you are still facing any problem.

We love this plugin but for our use (a timeline based in a sci-fi far future where we need to add dates like May 19, 2953) it’s cumbersome. At one time in the Pro version you could set a far future date and you still can in the basic version but then you lack the Pro features. So for us to add a new date we have to switch back to the basic non-Pro version where we can add such dates then save the entry and switch back to Pro to use the Pro features. I’d give this 2 more stars if the developer brought back the ability to add far future dates in the Pro version.

If you want quick changes then you can select story type custom order based and then you can add any future date. We are using timestamp inside Cool Timeline Pro and timestamp does not support the year you want, so you can select custom order based story and set any future date.
