Hi,
We’ve recently come across this issue we haven’t been able to fix ourselves. We filter by year (tag) and category with news posts. When we go to create a new category, the category doesn’t appear in the sidebar and the news post wont display either.
If I were to assign the news post to an old category it’s fine. The category is set up as per the rest and is included in the filter settings. Yet any new category doesn’t work. Can someone look into this?
https://www.idoxgroup.com/investors/regulatory-news/Thanks
Hi Enviousdigital,
This is a weird behavior and more like it is connected to the page that displays all posts, if nothing from new posts is displayed then you need to check the realization of the query on the page.
In general, there is no support for accounts whose support period has expired following the support policy
But we can help you later after all requests from accounts with valid support periods will be processed. It may take some time – days or weeks.
If you want to get it faster, please extend your support period and this request will be processed in the first queue for supported accounts.

Hi, I created a horizontal filter, link is here: https://eyeconzmedia.com/ideali2/product-category/appliances-2/ovens-microwaves

hello, is possible to display one filter set on all pages of woocommerce? Now I have to create filter for categories, for pages etc. I wanna have one for all pages on the website. Thanks
Hi smartwebeu,
No, it is not possible. You can choose one for any common page, any category, or any page if the query is the same. So you need to create more than one filter set in order to display it everywhere and on any page or category.
Best Regards,
- Victor
it would be much better, if there would be an or condition for it. Now we have one filter set with many filters and it’s pretty annoying to create same filters for many conditions…at least there could be a duplicate feature..
Due to varying queries on different pages and other technical aspects, creating a single condition is not possible and could cause workability issues. However, the duplicate feature is planned for implementation in future updates.
Best Regards,
- Victor
ok..that would help us a lot…thanks
We will inform you in this comment thread as soon as this feature becomes available. Thank you for your patience and support.

hi – i’m trying to embed two separate filters on two separate page templates but i cannot see where i can find the unique ID for each filter set. where can i find the ID to print the appropriate filter set on the right page using the shortcode: [fe_widget id=”26” show_selected=”yes” show_count=”yes” horizontal=”yes”] – I would like to replace the ID here with the appropriate filter ID
additionally, right now it’s only allowing me to select Blog page, Homepage, or Search Results for the options of “Where to filter?” – how do i add a different page template to this option dropdown? i need to display this on a Results page template
Hi ablomberg,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
We would recommend starting from this quick start guide – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/quickstart/ in order to understand how to work and display the filter widget properly.
In the “Where to filter” the first dropdown is clickable, click on it and choose pages on the second choose the needed page, if you assign some of the pages as a home page then you need to choose common pages + homepage. Then in the “And what to filter” dropdown choose the correct query to filter.
Shortcode is used to display the filter widget, there is no ability to choose which filter would be displayed, the one that was specified in the “Where to filter” with the higher priority will be displayed on the page in your shortcode.

Hi, and thank you for the quick response. I’ll be a bit more specific on my ask since I didn’t convey that properly. I’m trying to create a new filter set based on a field inside of an Advanced Custom Field PRO Flexible content builder. I’ve set up a flexible content ACF field that contains four sub-variables [image, client, category, link]. I’ve then used that ACF Flexible Content builder to build out a Results page that populates a grid of results built out using the ACF Flexible Content page builder. So, what I am aiming to do is to create a filter set on that page that filters based on one of the sub-variables within the Results Flexible Content Builder. I’d like to be able to filter by the Category variable within the Results Flexible Content Builder, but I cannot seem to be able to dial down onto that sub-variable, just the parent variable of “results_content”.
Flexible Content Parent: Results https://ibb.co/5xVCFLD Flexible Content: Child Variables including the Category variable I’d like to filter by: https://ibb.co/d7Zytjq Filter only showing the parent ACF Variable: https://ibb.co/xFWHjNQ Filters Setup in WP backend: https://ibb.co/0cBwVLxIs there a way I can edit this so the filter set pulls in the sub-variables of category rather than the parent category of “results_content”.
I’d like to pull in the Categories inputted in the highlighted image here: https://ibb.co/LhGGrzrThanks in advance! aaron
Hi ablomberg,
Here you can check 100% supported ACF field types – https://demo.filtereverything.pro/example/acf/
Other ACF fields are partially supported or not supported at all. For example, the repeater is not an ACF field, but a list of dynamically generated ACF fields. And you can create filters by repeater subfields, not sure if it will be useful for your case. Also, you can not combine several ACF subfields in the single filter as in fact, they are different Custom Fields combined in a single repeater field. Same situation with Flexible Content.

Hi there! We are trying to best figure out how we can use filter pro to filter based on a range of values. For example, a slider that lets us choose a product set where the products have a temperature range between 15 degrees and 25 degrees. We don’t have temperature stored as “16 degrees” for each product – the data we have for each product is in two fields representing the range of values. The minimum value is -30 degrees and maximum value is +30 degrees. Is this doable?
Hi jimward2,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Range slider works only with numeric custom fields, the attributes with (1deg, 2deg, 3deg, etc.) won’t work. You need to create a numeric custom field and apply only numbers on products so you can create a range slider by this numeric custom field meta key.

Hi rxsport,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
It seems that your server does not allow connection with our license server. We can activate it on our side, but we need the following things from you:
1. Your license key.

Hi, I am having an issue with caching that I believe is related to the filter as it was not occurring before.
I have contacted the caching plugin support team and they are not being very helpful with this.
Let me explain and maybe with your knowledge you will have a quick fix or fix for me.
So basically I receive an email from my hosting provider that my server is full. On inspection of the files, I can see that the cache is over 10gb. Looking at what files they are I can see they are combinations of the filter pages and all possible combinations with product category, product attributes and product tags. This creates a lot of pages that don’t really exist but can be produced by the filter and hence takes up all the space in the cache.
The caching plugin is FlyingPress and under Cache settings they have the following:
- Exclude pages from caching Enter the URL or path of pages that has to be excluded from caching
- Ignore query parameters Query parameters that should be ignored while generating cache
Are you able to help me with this in any way? Either with code, a setting on your plugin or an entry I can use on – Exclude pages from caching / – Ignore query parameters.
Thanks in advance
Hi x7mo,
Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with our plugin and its functionality. The caching plugin support should provide the solution on the issues of how to simply not cache certain stuff on your site. We are not responsible for other plugin issues and its caching abilities.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi, That is not a fair response as this issue has got something to do with your plugin as it’s your plugin that is creating these large amounts of pages? I understand you are not responsible for other plugin issues but these issues arise and start from your filter plugin creating combination of pages? From the caching plugin point of view this is not there issue as all pages are being cached correctly. it is your plugin that is creating all the unnecessary pages causing the conflict.
All we can recommend in your situation is that the caching plugins usually support the option to exclude certain pages from caching by wildcard URL. For example, /product-category/clothing/* where an * is responsible for any value, including filter tags.
Best Regards,
- Victor
This is my plan now yes. I was just asking in the hope of finding a better solution. It’s ok. Thanks anyway
Hi x7mo,
Glad to hear that the plugin had such functionality to allow you to exclude pages.
Best Regards,
- Victor
they do but I have just found out it does not support wildcard.
We are sorry to hear that. The WP Super Cache should support it if we are not mistaken.

Hi, I have noticed a problem when trying to use AJAX for filtering. When AJAX is active and a search is entered that contains 0 results, the results do not update (I can still see all the post from the previous query in the list). If there is 1 or more result the search filter works fine. It also works fine when AJAX is not enabled. Thanks, Daniel
Hi dratcliffe1,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Please send us the link to the page with the issue so we can check it.

Hi Victor, Please see the page here: https://spu.bkv.mybluehost.me/devsiteblank/news/
Hi dratcliffe1,
Weird behavior and it seems like Templates were overwritten which is causing some issues.
Please send us the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document – document so we can check it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi, I have sent the credentials Thanks, Daniel
We have checked the site and fixed the issue. The problem was that the container class name that you used in AJAX on this page – https://spu.bkv.mybluehost.me/devsiteblank/news/ are removed from the page when no posts were found. That’s why the issues were occurring, we have specified the correct class container inside the filter set to the .elementor-element-5afff57 and everything is working as it should as this element doesn’t get removed from the page when there are no posts are found.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Perfect thanks for the quick resolution!
Hi dratcliffe1,
I’m glad that your problem was solved
If it is possible I would be thankful for a positive review about the plugin here on CodeCanyon – https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/reviews/31634508

Hi web156,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Please, note that the License key and CodeCanyon purchase code are different things.
To set the License key, please go to Filters -> Settings -> License, click the “Get your License Key” – https://prnt.sc/-ehm9df3H_XT and you will be redirected to the new page.
Log in there with your Envato credentials, and you will see your License key for the Filter Everything PRO plugin. That is the license key that we need.
You can deactivate it manually here – https://prnt.sc/0iCV1GI-NOO1 if you don’t have the ability to do it, then please send us the license key (not the purchase code) via PM. and the domain name on which it was previously activated.

Hello,
Possible Bug: When the plugin is active, it destroys the layout of form fields in the admin panel. The form still works but it does not look good.

Awesome
Hi Victor, are there any news on this topic?
Hi! Although the plugin works great, I have one major problem that I can’t figure out… I need to add a sorting option, so I used search widget. The thing is, it displays terms in dropdown. My client requires checkboxes instead of dropdown, I tried some JS but it doesn’t really work… Could you please tell me how this could be achieved? Perhaps you can provide some little php that I can insert somewhere (like to functions.php)? Without that I will have to look for another plugin, as my client doesn’t want dropdowns at all:-S
Hi ziemo_as,
It is important to approach this situation with caution and carefully persuade the client about the limitations of using checkboxes for sorting options. It is crucial to explain that only one option can be selected at a time, and users may be confused if this feature is not located in the top right or left section of the products grid. Placing this feature in the filter may only lead to additional confusion for users. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a code to the functions.php file in order to transform dropdowns into checkboxes. It is only possible to add it by custom coding, with constant testing in order to not break the plugin’s workability. Please note, that we do not provide or debug custom coding as it is out of the support policy here on CodeCanyon. We can only recommend hiring a WordPress dev with the needed skills so he can implement the needed functionality. And short notice, you won’t find a filter with checkboxes for sorting options, only some custom coding solutions probably which would be still needed to reworked for your case.
Best Regards,
- Victor
ahh that’s bad:( Unfortunately if there is no solution to that I will have to go for a refund and try some other plugin, as my client want’s it exactly the way I described:( Shame, it’s a really nice plugin though
one more Q: is it possible to add a “permanent” reset all filters button below the filters? Now you have to use chips and the button appears only when there are active filters.
In that case, the file /filter-everything-pro/views/orderby.php is responsible for displaying the Sorting Dropdown and it can be overridden using Templates Overriding and output any required HTML how you want – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/ you can modify it to your needs.
About the filter reset button, we can provide this function that you can place anywhere you need on the page in your button element (it is returning the link which contain the Reset URL):
if( class_exists( 'FilterEverything\Filter\UrlManager' ) ){
$urlManager = new \FilterEverything\Filter\UrlManager();
$resetUrl = $urlManager->getResetUrl();
echo '<a href="'.$resetUrl.'">Reset filters</a>';
}
Best Regards,
- Victor
hi, many thanks for it but I’m not sure how to use that code… I added this into functions.php
function display_reset_filters_link() { if( class_exists( ‘FilterEverything\Filter\UrlManager’ ) ){ $urlManager = new \FilterEverything\Filter\UrlManager(); $resetUrl = $urlManager->getResetUrl(); }
echo 'Reset filters';
}
and this into html block in elementor: <?php display_reset_filters_link(); ?>
but it doesn’t work:-S could you please tell me how to use it properly?
Hi ziemo_as,
Of course, it doesn’t work because you are echoing only the text “echo ‘Reset filters’;” which is “Reset filters” and you should return the reset link which you can use for a button. This is out of the support policy, but here is an example:
This should go in the functions.php:
function reset_filters_button_shortcode() {
if( class_exists( 'FilterEverything\Filter\UrlManager' ) ){
$urlManager = new \FilterEverything\Filter\UrlManager();
$resetUrl = $urlManager->getResetUrl();
return '<button class="reset-filters-button"><a href="'.$resetUrl.'">Reset filters</a></button>';
}
return '';
}
add_shortcode('reset_filters_button', 'reset_filters_button_shortcode');
And use a shortcode [reset_filters_button] in the needed place. Here you can read how to work with shortcodes – https://codex.wordpress.org/Shortcode_API and how to place them correctly.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi, thank you for the code, I placed it in functions.php and use the shortcode on the page using shortcode element in Elementor: https://prnt.sc/YPFqZaJyR-at The thing is it is not working, it renders out as a plain text:-S Could you please tell me how to make it work the easiest way possible? I will appreciate your help here.
Hi ziemo_as,
We have tested it on our site, here is the functions.php – https://prnt.sc/nGJexn7PA5gV
Here it was placed in the Elementor as a shortcode – https://prnt.sc/XnvL_naJBnhi
And here it is working like a simple reset button without styles – https://prnt.sc/HLGtnxELN1DW
You are doing something wrong or have an additional styling or something like that show it as a plate text only. You need to have at least basic PHP knowledge or hire a dev with the needed skills so he can do it for you, using platforms like Upwork.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Ok, I’ve used EXACTLY the same code as you did on your screenshots, and the button doesn’t reset filters, but it redirects to a shop page. Could you please provide I link to your demo where it actually works?
Yes, this is exactly how it is working, since all of the filter terms are added to the URL address as particles, and in order to reset them all, you need to be redirected to the page without those URL particles, you can add AJAX to it so it won’t refresh the page.
Or you can edit the chips.php file to make the reset button only visible and nothing else and it will work already with AJAX.
This is all referring to the custom coding and extension of the plugin’s current functionality, which we do not provide or debug, following the CodeCanyon support policy We provided with an example how it can be done.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi again! I am wondering how I can add a filter set to the default pages, like a 404 page and maybe a products archive page?
I had the “Apply filtering if page is:”, and then “Common Wordpress pages” next to that. For “And what to filter” I chose “Product query. Main Query.” which was the only option, but nothing shows up.
Any ideas on how I can make the filter show up in the sidebar on these more generic pages?
This is the page I hope to add it to: https://tbss2023.wpengine.com/shop/ https://tbss2023.wpengine.com/returns/Hi dan_castady,
At the moment there is no possibility to apply filters on the 404 page perhaps in the next updates we will implement such an ability, as for the product archive page it can be chosen from common pages.
Maybe on the archive page your widget are turned off, try to use shortcode – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/
Best Regards,
- Victor
Ajax filter is not working properly, showing wrong results.
My website: https://tribalo.com.mx/portafolio/
Hi Tribalo,
We have checked the site and it seems like you are using some AJAX for displaying products that are not triggered when applying filter terms, please check this documentation page for more information – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/ajax-related-problems/ because if you update the page after it was filtered everything will be triggered and you’ll see products/posts normally.
Best Regards,

hello
Is there a way of not showing filters with only one term to filter by?
I have a lot of filters on a site and want to reduce the amount of space taken up by the filters and it seems pointless displaying filters with only one search term.
Thanks
Hi ianscottgrant,
To avoid any potential confusion, since this is a duplicated question we provided the answer in the original comment thread. You can find it at the following URL – https://codecanyon.net/comments/29801163 Thank you for your understanding.

Hi there, awesome plugin! It works really well and you have thought about making our dev-life much easier. So I bought it to say thank you.
But I also do have a question: What could prevent a custom taxonomy to behave like the bult-in ones?
I have create a taxonomy “collections” (with Pods) and built a filter with that and product-categories. I can select as many product-categories as I like, but I can select only one collection at a time (then the other collections are greyed out).
I guess you might know right away what is happening, but if you need access to the site, just let me know.
Cheers,
Michael
Is my question too unspecific?
Hi Michael,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
We appreciate your kind words and support. It means a lot to us and makes us feel grateful.
Yes, it would be better if you could send credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it.
Best Regards,

Hi Victor, done and sent
Can you please install the PRO version of the plugin? You are still using the Free one, so we can check it all with the PRO. (You don’t need to delete the Free just install the PRO also)
Best Regards,
- Victor
done
Yeah, as we thought in the PRO version everything is working as it should. The Free version has its limitations.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Ah, excellent. I didn’t see anything about such limitations in the docs, but then it’s good I bought the pro version anyway
Thanks Victor
The documentation section is currently in the process of being updated. And soon we should provide new, more complete, and detailed documentation. Thanks for understanding.
Best Regards,

Hi Victor,
is it possible to open a page with a filter pre-selected? Our client would like the Wordpress frontpage to be the shop, but with one filter already selected. Do you have any idea how to accomplish this?
Cheers, Michael
Hi Michael,
You can do it only by URL, basically choose the needed filter and copy the URL, and make by default an open shop page with that URL, so instead of just mysite.com/shop/ you’ll redirect to mysite.com/shop/color-red/
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi! I´m PRO user, and the reason I bought/installed the plugin was the range function. However, it does not work like it should. Please check range slider. I had added load capacity ACF-s for the 4 products. range min and max are working, however slider is not. And even if it finds these 4 products (put max 600 for example) then it still shows that 0 product found (class=”wpc-posts-found-number”).
so slider and number of products found.
Thanks in advance!
Hi ttaavi,
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Please send the link to the page with the issue so we can check it. Also, the price range filter works only with custom numeric fields.

Hello
I have set up filters using ACF and product custom fields.
How can I sort the drop down list to be sequential or size order if text numbers?
Thanks
Hi ianscottgrant,
Go to the filter set choose the needed filter click “More options” and choose from this dropdown options for ordering – https://prnt.sc/OnwMxWW6fxwd
Best Regards,
- Victor
Perfect – thank you.
Is there a way of not showing filters with only one term to filter by?
Thanks
Unfortunately, there is no such functionality, there is only the ability to hide empty filter terms and hide the filter if all of the filter terms are empty in the filter.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thank you – is this something that might be introduced later?
Hi ianscottgrant,
Hard to say since this is the first request we get like that, if there will be more requests from the users for such functionality we might implement something like that in the future.
Best Regards,

Hi, I created a product filter with filter everything plugin, the sample page is here: https://eyeconzmedia.com/ideali2/appliances/?currency=SGD. But I cannot link the filter with the products. How should I fix this prob? Thank you and wait for your reply
Hi eyethalics,
Try to choose another query in the “And what to filter dropdown” – https://prnt.sc/kDglbpu8ms4m
Best Regards,
- Victor
hi Victor, I tried to choose a query in the mentioned field, but there’s no query to choose from, I did a screenshot here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/806ejzam6efp2f3rb72xx/Screenshot-2023-08-02-at-13.58.10.png?rlkey=vqp5v96np78ky5ks6xlpml0c6&dl=0
Hi eyethalics,
Then it can be two problems, one is that you are using cache and it is caching everything so you cannot choose any WP_Query try to clear it and check if there is the possibility to choose the WP_Query and turn it off for testing purposes (usually it’s object caching) and the second one is because the products were displayed without WP_Query, they are just a list of items from API or something like that.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi Victor, I tried to disable the cache but the problem is still exits.
The products on the page is added through woocommerce products. If they were displayed without WP-Query, how should I add it? Or do you have any recommended plugin which I can use to display products with WP-Query? Thank you
This is a strange behavior. Please provide the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it.
