I get your plugin (v 1.5.10) included with the last Holiday bundle. I installed it (WP 3.5) and it worked…but no thumbnails on the post or page with the ecard tag.
1. I figured out that I need to unzip the content of the plugin in a new folder with the name of wp-ecards.
2. I understood after 1 hour of research that some of the plugin files are missing: I have no js folder like your demo and neither javascript carroussel to show these thumbnails.
I think that I am not alone in this case and would like to know how can I get the updates or the plugin without missing files from the Holiday Bundle?

There is no /js/ file in the plugin, there is no carousel. The demo is about something else.
You have to manually include the images in the post. The [ecard] shortcode only shows the form.
You can’t get updates from the Holiday Bundle, not official anyway.
Contact me via email and we’ll discuss this matter in more detail.
The images I use aren’t the problem. You should then just make it clear that your plugin is only for ecard emails, not actual ecards you fetch online. I paid 14 dollars for this misleading plugin.
It’s not misleading, everyone knows what eCards are.

Yes, I do have an image in the email. But I wanted people to visit the post on my site on the condition that it would actually look like an ecard. I bought this plugin primarily to attract more people. Usually ecards work like that, you fetch them online. I’m disappointed.
You should add an image that looks like an eCard.
Also, eCards are sent via email.
Hello, I just bought your plugin and I have been testing it. I can’t work out how to set up a post with a real ecard feel. The link in the email sends to a page where there’s just a thumbnail of my uploaded image and there is no personal message displayed. I’ve been playing with all the options and I’m at a loss. Can you help me?
You should have an image inside the email. There is an option with “Show eCard inside email”. Also, the personal message appears inside the email, not in the post.

There might be:
1. a mail() function issue (check the server) 2. a plugin conflict (try to deactivate all plugins except eCards and try again)
I checked it and never got it.
Thanks for the response. I Deactivated all plugins except the ecard. I also used the forgot password function on the login screen to test mail. It is sending email just fine.
I still cannot get ecard to send me message. Is there something else i am missing or could try??

I used your demo link: http://getbutterfly.com/christmas-ecards/# and sent cards to email addresses @mydomain.com and @gmail.com and received the same thing (see below). There was no image and I regularly receive images on both clients; nor was the link live. Perhaps I’m doing something incorrect?

When will the latest plugin be updated so that the image emails out in the body of the email (as opposed to just sending out as a link)?
The plugin sends the image inside the email. It already does this. Some email clients do not display images, and have a link with “Display images in this email”.
Actually I do have another question
When I embed the image in the email it looks fine but the link to the image also comes up underneath and I would like to hide that as I don’t really want people to know the WP image library link of the image.
Is that possible?

There is an option to this, but it’s not updated yet. What version of eCards are you using? Anyway, an updated version will be available tomorrow.

New problem: The counter is stuck at 5 & not updating. we’ve sent about 25…

Hi, Citykitties asked for an option for the eCard URL to be enabled/disabled – did this get added in an update? I’d also like to turn the URL off in the email, but I can’t see how in the ecard config screen.

EDIT: I downloaded and installed yesterday.
If the option is not there, it means it did not get updated. The next update should be available in a day or two, and the option will be there.

Hi. There is a problem with the plugin. I have setup a test site with no other plugins, except a zip-installed version of WP eCards.
The problem is that if the plugin is activated and a user goes to the WordPress password reset page, the email that is sent does NOT contain the link to actually reset it.
It works like it should when the plugin is deactivated.
Is there a fix for this?
This is, indeed, strange. Let me check it and see what causes this behaviour.

Hello. You don’t have to worry about this anymore, check the latest version, 1.6, and you can automatically add unlimited thumbnails in one post/page.
You don’t need a specially crafted template.
Just create, let’s say, a page called Snowman eCards and place 20 snow images. Then create another page called Winter eCards and place 30 winter images. It’s much easier right now.
Thanks for 1.6. When I add multiple pictures to a post, they all show up in the post above the [ecard] versions with radio boxes. Can you please tell me how you made it so the images don’t show up above the [ecard] section in your demo? Many thanks.
I’m sure there’s a theme feature. Do the images appear in other posts, too? If yes, they must be hardcoded into the post. You could fix this by editing the theme. Or, I could do it for you. Please contact me via email.

Well… there is something to be done:
1. If you change output to “thank you page” then the ecard_counter stops working. I dug into the code and found that the counter option never updates in such a case.
It corrected it like this and now it works fine:

2. Vintage theme is nice. But the “Send” button lacks interactivity. It looks frozen when you move mouse over it. In Metro style the button changes its appearance.
3. The message “eCard sent successfully” echoes in the beginning of the document and it’s difficult to notice it. (That is the reason why I decided to use the “thank you” page). It would be better to style the message in some more bright and attractive way.
But in the whole it’s really a great plugin! Wish you more sales. Bye!

your plugin (v 1.5.10) was included in the last Holiday bundle. I installed it (WP 3.4.2 de) and everything worked like a charme. 
Now the counter seems to have stopped counting – it constantly shows 19 counts (see here http://www.bluelotus.at/adventskalender/blue-lotus-weihnachts-ecard/).
Already disabled all plugins which I do not need at the moment, uninstalled and reinstalled the ecards-plugin – to no avail. Any idea how to fix this?
Second question: can I download the newest version of your plugin althoug I purchased it with the bundle?

I’m having the same problem that MRADK and chrisherbrand were having. The emails get sent but the image on the page doesn’t. Was there a fix for this?
I see the comment about ‘attaching’ the images, but I was under the impression that when you add an image to a page it’s automatically attached. Is there something else I should be doing?
