We think you’ve make mistake when changing the package name, please note, the structure of the package name must be the same as the namespace in the build.gradle file, otherwise the project will be error: https://prnt.sc/kkkYSfz3bt_k
Alternatively, just change the applicationId build.gradle file and don’t change the namespace and package name, also do it from the start using the original project from zip file if needed.

There is a problem with the sorting of the stories. I made a book. I added some stories to it. I made few minor changes in the content of some stories and then ordering of the stories are messed up. Unfortunately, this is a very inconvenient situation and there is no option to re-order them.
