Hi guys, could you elaborate more on this “Manual Subscription Renewal using any WooCommerce supported Payment Gateway”. I will be using a gateway that allows recurring payment.
1) Can this plugin give the instruction to my gateway to charge automatically?
2) Manual means one-by-one or can it be in bulk? So imagine a have 150 member in a “Silver Plan”. Can I click a button to charge all of them at once?
Thank you
Hi,
Automatic recurring is supported only using the below payment methods,
1. Stripe – Credit Card(using WooCommerce Stripe plugin) 2. SUMO Subscriptions – PayPal Reference Transactions(comes inbuilt with the plugin) 3. Standard PayPal
If any of these payment methods are used, renewal payments can be processed automatically.
“Manual Subscription Renewal” meaning user will be notified by email before the payment due date and using the Pay Link in the email, user has to make payment manually.
Thanks.
Thank you for your answer. I guess there’s no way the plugin will work with the gateways available in my country
Best regards
Can this add a user role during the subscription period?
Hi,
It is not possible to add user role for subscribers.
Thanks.
Hi Support,
This plugin is a good plugin.
But can I highly suggest your team to create the functionality of updating quantity or removal of a particular product in an order subscription? Currently there is no way to change the quantity or remove one of the products in an ongoing order subscription, which i think is a big problem.
If customer no longer wants a particular product in a basket of products in an order subscription, he or she will have to cancel the entire order subscription and sign up a revised order subscription from scratch, which is really troublesome and not user-friendly. Few of my customers told me it is this issue that make them not use subscription. As its not flexible enough.
It will be a perfect plugin if you are able to add that functionality.
Thank you.
Hi,
We have made a note of your request and we’ll check for the feasibility and try to bring this in future updates of the plugin if feasible.
Thanks.
Is it also possible to have a subscription for a number of items, or only a time-period.

We are not clear on your requirement. Please contact our support at http://fantasticplugins.com/support by opening a ticket with more details so that our support team can help you.

Can customer change back to automatic payment mode in their my-account page after they have changed to manual payment mode? I can’t find any button that does that.
Hi,
It is not possible to switch to automatic payment mode from My Account page if the subscription is in manual payment mode. Customer have to make the next renewal manually and at the time of payment they can choose automatic payment methods and their future renewals will be charged automatically.
Thanks.
Hi,
Can the purchaser change only the payment cycle for the purchased subscription service?
for example Change the payment for regular magazine from monthly payment to annual payment
Thanks Regards,
Hi,
Using Upgrade/Downgrade feature, it can be possible.
Thanks.
Hi Support, can you help me answer two questions? Thank you.
1. Does sumo subscription integrate with any affiliate program/manager plugin? Meaning to say for every renewal of subscription, our affiliate will be able get a certain percentage of income from the renewal sales, as the customer was originally referred by that affiliate.
2. Can I use only the “WooCommerce – Stripe” for renewal payment of subscription? Or must I integrate with “SUMO Subscription – Paypal Reference Transactions” as well? What is the difference between the two? Any pros and cons? What is the recommendation?
Hi,
1. We have given compatibility with SUMO Affiliates Pro(https://codecanyon.net/item/sumo-affiliates-pro-wordpress-affiliate-plugin/22795996) plugin using which you can give commission for renewals.
2. You can simply use Stripe – Credit Card(using WooCommerce Stripe) plugin to get automatic renewal payments. It is not mandatory to use SUMO Subscriptions – Paypal Reference Transactions. If you just want to get Card payments, then you can use Stripe – Credit Card. If you want to get PayPal payments, then you must have to use SUMO Subscriptions – Paypal Reference Transactions payment method.
Thanks.
ok thank you.

Hi, is the customer able to set the subscription period? (Say, near the add to cart button, in the single product page)
Hi,
By creating a variable product with multiple variations, it can be possible(i.e. one variation for weekly, another variation for monthly, another variation for every 3 month, etc).
Thanks.
hello I want to take the plungin subscription. question is it compatible with shop the look? . if yes can I put a simple subscription product example 10€/month plus 30€ as the main product of shop the look, and add complementary products for sale in chops the look that the customer will add to his basket
and therefore in his basket he will have: the simple product 10/month + 30 fees more product x 10 € more product y 20€
total in basket 70€ then 10€ / month here it is possible I order both plugins
and last question, are your two plugins compatible with the Blocksy theme (because depending on the plugin you know that sometimes the quantity keys for example do not always work, is this compatible? if you don’t know if I order and it’s not compatible without code (I don’t want a code) can I get a refund from the two plugins?

- Is Sumo-Subscriptions compatible with WCFM Marketplace? https://wordpress.org/plugins/wc-multivendor-marketplace/ - Does Sumo-Subscriptions automatic renewals work with WCFM included Stipe-split-payments add-on? https://docs.wclovers.com/vendor-payment/#stripe-split-pay
Hi,
We haven’t given any specific compatibility with WCFM Marketplace plugin and we are not sure whether it works or not.
Automatic recurring is not supported with Stripe Split Payments add-on.
Thanks.
With the PayPal Standard plugin going away, will you be updating your plugin to work with the new PayPal plugin for Woocommerce?
Hi,
New PayPal plugin for WooCommerce is not supported for automatic recurring. You can use SUMO Subscriptions – PayPal Reference Transactions payment method.
Thanks.
Presale question: How does an admin create a subscription order and assign it to a customer? Is there a help page that describes this process?
If purchased, I would need to migrate a number of subscriptions over to the new plugin, which I’ve seen you say is possible via manual order creation. But I could not see how to do it in the demo.
Hi,
Manual subscription order creation is possible. You have to create an order and link the subscription products so that the subscription will be automatically assigned to the customer.
Thanks.
We have simple monthly recurring payments that do not suspend, pause, or expire. How do I set it so automatic email notices are only sent (1) after payment received “Processing”, or (2) payment not received “Overdue Reminder”? I do NOT want to send automatic emails for “Payment Reminder”, “Suspend Reminder”, or “Expiry Reminder” – as this sends too many emails to our customers which will only confuse them and make more work for me.
If I set it so: Send Overdue Reminder Email = 0,5,10 day(s) after due date I assume, if payment is SKIPPED, SUMO tries again twice (after 5 days, then after 10 days) which will give my customers time to update card or add sufficient funds.
Is this possible, when a payment is MISSED (after 3 tries), we can automatically add that amount when collecting next month?
Maybe allowing us to add -1 (negative 1) to disable emails – would this work?
Send Manual Payment Reminder Email = -1 day(s) before due date
Send Automatic Payment Reminder Email = -1 day(s) before due date
Send Overdue Reminder Email = 0,5,10 day(s) after due date
Send Suspend Reminder Email = -1 day(s) after due date
Send Expiry Reminder Email = -1 day(s) before expiry date

Good job creating such a complex subscription plugin that works on every level!! Thank you for replying to my many questions in the one ticket – you have given me confidence to go ahead with using your plugin and I will do my best to work with what you have as-is. I have spent several days fully testing your SUMO Subscriptions plugin and I’m now writing procedures for how to make this work for my clients for real payments starting next month. I see some room for improvement and I will share my ideas with you as separate feature requests and support tickets. Again thank you! I have given your plugin a 5 star review – well deserved!!
hi, right now i tested your plugin. if possible to change Renewal frequency to minutes? because i need to test it immediately.
Hi,
It is not possible to change the frequency to minutes. The minimum you can set the frequency is 1 day.
Thanks.
Hi, do you think it’s possible to charge the recurring payment in a currency that is an index? It’s an index that varies everyday (although the payment will be every month on a certain date), E.g, month 1 will be $1, month 2 $1.05. The amount could be modified manually or, even better, automatically (as there are API’s that update this value). Are you available for this custom development if it’s necessary? Thank you
Hi,
It is not possible to automatically update the subscription price for each renewal. But, you can manually edit the Renewal amount for each subscription so that the renewal will be processed with the updated price.
Thanks.
Are subscription payments managed in your plugin on my website – or are the payments managed by Stripe? I’m hoping your plugin will manage the payments and save me the 0.5% transaction fee charged by Stripe for subscriptions / recurring payments.
Hi,
Subscriptions are managed completely by the plugin on WordPress site. Only the payment will be managed by Stripe.
Thanks.
Thank you!! This is awesome! I’ve compared all our options and your SUMO Subscriptions looks like the best – I will buy a license and get it working shortly.
Hello,
Presale Question:
I went through admin but I couldn’t find a place where I can set up a prcing table.
I would like to have the Pricing table for two different products with the Duration frequency. 3,6,9,12 months. If they buy for more months they get more benefit.
Can please suggest how can we achieve this?
Hi,
By creating a variable product with multiple variations it can be possible to give different subscription frequency for the customers. For example, one variation for 3 months, another variations for months, another for 9 months and so on.
Otherwise, pricing table kind of feature is not available in the plugin.
Thanks.
When purchasing a product with a subscription. WooCommerce generates two email invoices, the standard “Product Invoice” and a second “Subscription” invoice. How can I deactivate the standard?
