Hello, I’m setting up the plugin, and currently, we are in test mode in Stripe. We created a subscription, and it looks fine in WordPress, but in Stripe it looks like a normal payment and not a subscription. Is it okay? So, in this case, your plugin will handle the subscription? (So far we started subscriptions in Stripe, and there we can see that this is a subscription). Thank you, Tibor

We are not using Stripe Subscriptions API and hence it won’t be created in Stripe account. Subscriptions are managed completely on WordPress site and only the recurring payment will be handled by Stripe.

Automatic recurring is supported only when using Stripe – Credit Card payment method(using WooCommerce Stripe plugin). But, you can use any other WooCommerce supported payment methods for getting manual renewal payments.

Hello – If I have a custom payment gateway that doesn’t charge a credit card (invoice only for example), can I create an automatic subscription with it with multiple products? Will this be 100% automatic and create the order, send notifications, etc?

You can use any WooCommerce supported payment gateways for getting manual recurring payments. Plugin will automatically send payment reminder emails and renewal orders will be automatically generated.

Hey – Is it possible to setup a yearly subscription which starts (July 1st) and expires (June 30th) at the same time every year.
Customers who signup during this year have their price prorated and expire the same time as everyone else. eg: if they sign up on Dec 31st then they would only pay for 6 months, 50% – then their subscription would renew on July 1st at the full rate?

How does these plugins SUMO Memberships and SUMO Subscriptions integrate with BuddyPress, TutorLMS, WCFM, myCred and Mailster? More specifically:
1. Can I show membership tab in BuddyPress user profile?
2. Can I sell TutorLMS courses via membership subscription and fixed price? I mean allow the user to either pay a one time fee of 99 USD of a subscription of 9 USD/month… If so, will that be clearly visible at the course price tab?
3. Can I allow user to sell product on the marketplace using WCFM, based on their SUMO membership subscription plan?
4. Can I give user points via myCred for their membership and subscriptions?
5. Does these plugins integrate with the Newsletter plugin called Mailster so that they can be automatically added to specific list when they create new membership account and/or buy specific subscriptions?

If a client cancels his subscription before it finishes his month he can still access the course for that period? 5. I see you have a list with all current subscriptions and it’s status… But there’s an integration to see more advanced reports to check for example the income for the month with the active subscriptions? 6. Is there any way to modify the price of the actual suscriptions for the current clients? How?

a) Automatic Subscription Payments:
It works with the following payment gateways,
i) SUMO Subscriptions – PayPal Reference Transaction which is inbuilt in the plugin.
ii) PayPal Standard Subscription API – It comes with the WooCommerce Plugin.
iii) WooCommerce Official Stripe – You need to install this plugin.
ii) Manual Subscription Renewal:
It works with the WooCommerce-supported Payment Gateways. The Payment reminder email notification will send for the Subscription renewal(s) payment with Paylink. The customer needs to pay manually using the Pay link available in the payment reminder email notification.
2) No.
3) & 4) As of now, it is not supported with any “Course” plugins.
5) As of now, we haven’t supported “Subscription Reports” from our side.
6) Yes, it is possible. You can update the price on the edit subscription page in the admin panel.

As per the plugin behavior, the same product which was purchased by the subscription will be renewed automatically. When using automatic supported payment methods to place the order, renewal amount will be automatically debited from the customer account.
