No, the plugin does not have the option to change the default short URL of WordPress as it is out of the scope of features. If you already integrate the short Rebrandly short URLs with the share buttons it is pretty easy to add a filter call that can modify the default short URL. Twitter does not allow you to attach images from your website automatically. The tweet message accepts just text (including usernames and hashtags) when you share from a website. I believe they have made this for security reasons.
What I can recommend if you don’t wish to use this method is the Twitter Cards. Those cards generate a preview below the Tweet like this https://take.ms/xncYQ. For sorrow, you can’t do that with the plugin. The update of the followers’ value requires having a token key for each account and network (you can’t use one authorization). In the plugin, you can do this with just 1 account on each network.
BTW what you see in the example website is not updating. Those are images of the creator with the followers’ numbers inside, sliding like a carousel. So you can do the same on your website.

There is a small bug when automatically truncating tweets. If an article has a longer description under “Description” in “Share Parameters”, it is not shortened for Twitter. It would be better if the article title would be taken automatically for Twitter.

Update the plugin to the latest official release 8.6.2 and do a test again. Version 8.6 contains an update related to a social network that generates the error with PHP 8 (ref: https://socialsharingplugin.com/version-changes/ #320). Another solutio for you in case you don’t have access to update is to disable the Digg social network https://docs.socialsharingplugin.com/knowledgebase/manage-available-installed-share-networks/.
As the plugin is embed into the theme you can’t receive support or updates from us as a plugin author. All of that is provided the theme author (and if needed theme author can request support for your case by us). You can update to a direct plugin license (purchase a plugin license) in case you wish to get assistance from us (automatic updates) and plugin support.

You need to deactivate the network (not just disable it). The solution is to update the plugin to the latest version 8.6.2. If after that you still have a problem with the plugin you need to communicate with the theme author for support.

This is not unique to my website. It will happen on any website that activates the affiliatewp integration. You should not need access to my installation to fix it.

I just tested the integration with the AffiliateWP and email button and everything works just fine with the recommend sending method (email client). If you are using the form it may not work but that is not because of the plugin – it is a limitation of the WordPress ajax function. That was just brief info for you. When you share from a website the Facebook bot reads the social media optimization tags and displays the information below the message field. For sorrow you can’t populate the message field with a text from the website – it should be filled manually. And as of this, you can’t send hashtags too (in the social media optimization tags they won’t work as expected or won’t work at all).

Two quick questions
A) I guess we can display the share buttons with shortcode only where we need them? Correct
We want to share some PDFs (event invites) that are listed with buttons “View PDF) in different sections of a page. Clicking on View PDF opens the PDF file in the browser.
We would like to add sharing buttons for EACH PDF that actually share this custom link (the pdf file URL in WP) so people can share them.
Is this possible? Can I have different share button on the same page each sharing a different custom URL?

Yes, you can place a shortcode anywhere in the content and you can make it share a custom URL (each shortcode on the page can have a different URL). But my concerns are about how the sharing will work for you.
Major social networks like Facebook or LinkedIn require URLs that you share to have social media optimization tags. Those tags contain the sharing title, description, and featured image. If you want to share the PDF file URL this will be a problem. In the share window, there won’t be any information except the filename (that is how they are made to work). Some others like mobile messaging apps or Twitter will work as normal because the message can be freely composed and sent with a parameter in the shortcode.
But to provide exact information on how the sharing will work can you send me an example page where you have such PDF files that will be shared?

I need to check with our client about this and maybe we need to turn these PDFs to proper pages for this to work properly. If there is time though since this is for an event landing page.

Yes, if you have a page you can setup the social media optimization tags in the code and it will be fine. I can suggest another method too. Instead of recreating the content in a page you can create a page where include the PDF with iframe viewer https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19654577/html-embedded-pdf-iframe. This will also do the trick as you will have actually a physical page where you can setup tags. And you will make the buttons share that physical page URL instead of the direct PDF url.

It’s a lifetime license (for unlimited time) – you pay just once. The plugin can add share buttons to the default post types (posts, pages) and as well to any custom post type. Keep in mind that the plugin adds share buttons that you or your visitors can use to share content over social networks. So the plugin won’t share this immediately when you create content (or scheduled) – it will share only if you are using the buttons created by the plugin.
This can be done to 50+ different social networks but for sorrow Instagram is not one of those. That is not because the plugin is missing the feature – it’s restriction from the Instagram. You can’t have a button to share from a website to the Instagram network.

I am not sure whether I have explained very well. This plugin marketing says can do Instagram feed, and as far as I know, Instagram allows thirdparty apps to send feeds to Instagram business-type accounts.
What I need is, once within Wordpress, to publish my posts (native and customs type) to my website and also to my social networks like Facebook and Instagram. I have obviously my FB page and Instagram business account already set up.
Also, that the visitors at my webpage can follow my social networks with the aid of a button (I see this is possible).

Yes, that is correct. The plugin has an Instagram feed feature. You can see it here https://socialsharingplugin.com/instagram-feed-grow-your-instagram-followers/. The Instagram function can connect with your personal or business account and display your latest posts. The plugin itself does not post automatically on social networks – it will share only if you click the button.
As for the following – we have a social profiles or social followers counter. Both can display buttons that allows visitors go to your social profiles and follow. The difference is that the social followers’ can also display the number of followers you have (for networks that support automatic update – Instagram does not provide that as an option). Hi, I’ve noticed Easy Social Share really slows down my website and specifically the admin dashboard. When I deactivate the plugin, it all runs very quickly, but when I enable Easy Social Share, it runs veeery slow. How can this be fixed? I already have the latest update installed.

This table holds the conversion tracking for the share buttons. The idea behind the conversion tracking is to measure the network and position usage. And pick those that really work for you (and drop those that users don’t use). Measuring the conversions requires tracking the display and action. And the table may become bigger based on the site visits. That is why there is a reset button -> https://take.ms/aVF5A. You can use the button to clear the table. Or after you make the analytics to disable the function.
In case you wish to do constant tracking we recommend using Button Analytics which can be activated at the same analytics menu (because it is tracking only the button usage).

When will a sharing button for Discord be included?

For sorrow, I don’t think we can add a share to Discord because the network does not provide this command (share from a website). Right now you can install Discord and use it in the Social Profiles / Social Followers Counter (the network can be installed from the library via the plugin).
The plugin allows adding new share (or follow/profile) networks directly from the settings https://socialsharingplugin.com/guides/how-to-add-a-custom-button-in-the-share-network-list/. So if you have a link that shows the share from a website command is present and working it is easy to include the button.
What else I can suggest as an option is the Browser Share Button https://socialsharingplugin.com/addons/share-api-button/. This button will launch the default sharing command (primary on mobile). And if Discord is capable you will see it as an option.
I also strongly suggest using the support system of the plugin https://support.creoworx.com for all of your questions (require registering an account and verifying the plugin purchase code).
