Just a quick note to let you know that when updating to version 1.6.7, the installation went fine, but WordPress considers the update not installed and still shows the update at TO DO.

how to update the filter everything pro. If we updating the filter it will causes any damage to my old data which we have already?

You can download it from your account on CodeCanyon and update via Plugins -> Add New -> Upload plugin -> Replace current with new. In this case your data will not be erased, but in any case do not forget to create a DB backup before this!

Your filters data can be erased only if you delete the plugin from your /wp-admin -> Plugins screen.

All next updates can be done automatically from your WordPress dashboard as the latest verison includes update mechanism.

Current version should be installed by the way I described above. All next versions can be updated as regular WordPress plugin on the /wp-admin -> Plugins screen.

So please download zip with current version from your CodeCanyon account and install it via Upload plugin button.

I checked your page second time and realized that you show different content in dependancy from user logged in status. You have to do it in such way when for logged in and logged out user FIlters widget should be present on the page. As some trick you can try to create second Filter Set, put Filters widget on the page for the logged out users also and after hide it with CSS. As result Filters widget will be present on the page, but not be visible for users.

I would like to help you with this more, but unfortunately it is something out from the CodeCanyon item support scope. Plugin configuration with 3rd party plugins is something that should be solved by site owner himself.

In general it is possbile – to make filters horizonally. But you purchased the plugin more than 6 months ago and your support period (6 months) is expired. FYI – the extending of the support period costs less than full plugin price.

You can try to find how to make filters horizontally by yourself. Or you can extend support period and I will let you know, how do to that.

I’m really sorry but time is something we have no control over at the moment and we genuinely thought that filters worked both on sidebars and above products like most filters do. I don’t want to put you to any trouble and do any customisation work so I will just request a refund and please accept my apologies again for not understanding that your plugin didn’t work this way.

I understand you personally, but you have to know that Rules are Rules.

One of the reasons I bought the premium version of this plugin is because it works with Themify Builder, which my client is using (they’re using the Pro version). However, it doesn’t seem to work for me in Themify Builder Pro. If I turn off builder and go with the stock Storefront theme, the plugin works fine but when using Builder (or a Themify theme with Builder plugin included)

It seems you configured something wrong. Usually the reason of such behaviour could be:
- Wrong WP_Query selected in the “And what to filter?” field of the Filter Set. Please try to experiment with different WP_Queries in the dropdown.
- Cache issue (WP_Query is cached). You have to check and maybe disable your cache plugins or modules in your hosting provider dashboard.
- AJAX enabled but wrong value for CSS id or class of the Posts Container specified. Please, disable the AJAX feature, until you will ensure that filtering works in general.

Please, try to check these reasons one by one. This should help you to make it work properly.

For the moment this can be achieved only if you change some amount of CSS code. But it seems on closest plugin updates (I think in 1-1,5 months) I will add ability to change this in one code line.

It’s great to know that this is coming as an adjustable value in the plugin. For now, can you let me know what css I should add to have the filter collapse at a max-width of 1024px?

But you have to remember that changes in *.CSS files will be lost after you will update the plugin. And if the next verison will not contain this ability to change breakpoint in one code line (I hope it will contain) you will must to repeat procedure from the instruction.

I understand this thought but Google is not so stupid to index pages with dynamic GET parameters. He recognizes such pages and does not include them in its search index. So you may not worry about this.

Hi, In this case you are wrong. It is my SEO agency that tells me I need to fix this. There are around 2000-3000 URL containg this ”?” and is indexing as seperate sites (duplicates from original).

Okay, I understand you. I don’t want to argue about it, but I can say that this problem is out of the item support scope. If you need to close from indexing pages with range slider GET parameters, I can advice what hook and what functions you can use to achive this. But as it is custom coding you have to implement this by yourself or ask a developer to help you.

Please, let me know if it will be ok for you to know what hook and functions will be useful to achive this goal.

Hi, Since I started with your plugin and created many great filter functions. The URL use canonical correct but I need to set all the filter parameters as ‘?filter_product_brand=’ and more as noindex since Google now index all the search filter parameters and we receive many duplicate content issues. Please help

I did add this in the theme function.php. The thing that does not make this work 100% is that there are 2 meta tags for each name. So only one of the tags is changing. I started another question regarding this in a new comment.

Although your suppor period expired, I will answer you on this questions as they were asked before.

By default every page with filtered results has noindex status. And it becomes indexed only if you create SEO Rule that matches to this page. If your Rank Math SEO plugin for some reason makes filtered pages indexable try please to update Filter Everything to the latest version 1.6.7

Hi, I updated to a new version but still the same issue. I still have 2 robots tag, the extra your plugin create and the original from rankmath. I can change the one from rankmath to noindex, but your filter is still indexed. The origin filter that your SEO rule create “is and should be” indexed, it is if I filter within that filter (adding for example /?filtering=1&filter_product_brand=10900,1116) that this also is indexed as a new URL and google index it as duplicate even if the canonical is set correct. As I see your header block on mobile covers filters Pop-up widget and you do not see its top part. Try please to add in Filters -> Settings -> Experimental -> Custom CSS next: .wpc-overlay-visible header .et-l--header{ z-index: 0; position: relative; }

This should help you to solve the problem.

Hi, our site is built using Oxygen Builder. When we update Wordpress to 6.0.1, the site breaks and it comes right after we disable Filter Everything Pro.

The issue is that only the footer and the header display on the site and none of the inner content. Meantime, we have reverted the site back to WP 5.9.3 and everything is working fine however we can’t keep the site at the old version of wordpress indefinitely. I can’t see any settings within Filter Everything Pro that would impact this.

Do you have any ideas?

Hello Support we are using multiple currencies default is Euro and other one is Dollor with this plugin “WOOCS – WooCommerce Currency Switcher” all filters working great on euro currency but when i switched it to dollor price filter is not working correct it is not recalculate min and max price and when i filter with price it shows wrong result it is showing according to euro but i want result according to current currency thanks

For the moment Filter Everything PRO is not fully compatible with “WOOCS – WooCommerce Currency Switcher” but I think I will add this compatibility in future updates. I can not say when exactly this will happen. As option you can try to ask a developer to help you to make them compatible between each other. In this case I can advice what exactly plugin hooks should be used to achieve this.

Hi! I noticed that in all filters I have created Brand logos are not displaying although logo is added in Attribute’s section for each Brand. Mught you know how to solve this issue?

If you use plugin Yith Brands for WooCommerce or Perfect Brands for WooCommerce logo should be displayed by default. These plugins use term meta keys ‘image’ and ‘pwb_brand_image’ accordingly.

If you use another plugin that stores logo images in another term meta key, you can add it by yourself by overriding function wpc_term_brand_logo();.

You can also check if there are no any CSS issues that can hide logos. Here is example with working logo CSS – https://demo.filtereverything.pro/product-category/electronics/smartphones/

Indeed, you can not use the same entity as filter twice for one Filter Set. But you can create second FIlter Set, point it to the same page(s) as your first Filter Set and put there filter by Category. To use two or more Filter Sets on the same page you have to add Filters widget twicely or more times in the same widget area – one Filters widget per one Filter Set.

If you want to handle available Categories in the second filter, you can do it via hook 'wpc_terms_before_display'https://filtereverything.pro/resources/hooks/#terms-before-display-hook

This expects that you are familiar with PHP coding or you have to ask a developer to help you to write such not complex code.

It is known problem, you need just to update the plugin to the latest v 1.6.5 which is compatible with WP6.0 or later. 1. can you provide your advice you mentioned to automatically redirect to post content, if the results from filters is only one post?

2. Also I have set the “Filter logic” to “AND” to all 4 filters and also set a parent filter for every filter. My issue here is that if 3 filters are selected, the options available on the 4th filter do not respect the “Filter logic” which is set to “AND”

1. I understand your position and your question but as I said before to redirect from filtering result page with single result to the post page you have to write some PHP code.

If you are not familiar with PHP I recommend you to hire a developer for example on Upwork and ask about this. This is small task and can be done up to 1 hour of work. Unfortunately I do not provide such paid services here.

2. Please, send me link to the page with example of this problem. Optionaly you can send it via PM if you click on my username. FYI logic “AND” in a filter specifies only logic between terms of the same filter. So if you set logic AND for example for Color filter and select colors “blue” + “yellow” you will see only products that have “blue” and “yellow” simultaneously.

Logic between different filters is always “AND”.

Hello, Is it possible to create a filter and have two ‘Filter by’ product tags filters? I have product tags I would like to group into two different filters but when I add the product tags filter it is no longer available to re-use in a second filter – the idea was to exclude some tags in one filter-group and exclude other tags in the second filter-group. This can be done only via writing additional JavaScript/CSS code and if you are familiar with these technologies you can do that. If not you have to ask a developer to help you with this.

So you have always a big tree in a mess after filtering… If you could solve these problems, you will do something great for me and for the french archeological research ;-)

1. In general number close to the filter term means how many filtered items related with this term you will see if you select this term. But if you want to show something another you can use hook 'wpc_filters_checkbox_term_html' to add your sub-categories count after term link – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/hooks/#term-html-hooks

But to avoid double numbers you have to hide for example via CSS current numbers for Checkbox view with enabled Hierarchy. You can investigate what specific CSS classes Checkbox view HTML has when you enable Hierarchy feature for example in Chrome console.

2. Tree uses function that remembers its status and if you wan to close it you can try to clear Cookie with name 'wpcHierarchyListStatus' every time, when page loads.

Of course all these manipulations expects that you are familiar with PHP/JavaScript development or you have to ask a developer to help you with this.

First of all, we love this plugin! It has made our life much, much easier! Thank you!

Now, our problem:

Our filters are set to display the found post count. Unfortunately, this count is often incorrect. Our best guess at the moment is that your plugin does some kind of caching because the post count, after we update the filter set, is correct.

Some details:

- We only use the filter on WooCommerce’s product archives.

- The problematic filter happens on a custom WP_Query, which has a “meta_query” that compares two DATETIME (a custom meta key and the current date). This filter set filters by “product_cat”.

- In the archive page, we call the filter widget via the shortcode “[fe_widget]”.

- Our products are updated programmatically, as their data comes from an ERP.

This results in the filter saying that X has 5 products, but only 3 are displayed. We will send you the problematic archive URL via PM (however, because we just saved the Filter Set, the count might be fine at the moment).

If the issue is the cache, is there a way we can programmatically clear a filter set cache after we update/add a product that belongs there?

Thank you for your warm words about the plugin.

Indeed, this is cache problem. You can reset filters cache by opening any page of your site (for example Homepage) by the URL contains GET parameter ?reset_filters_cache=true For example – https://example.com/?reset_filters_cache=true

If you add to your import algorithm calling of such URL, cache will be updated immediately and every time after import products.
