Great plugin! I do not regret the purchase at all. One question – I cannot find a way to add descriptions to the lightbox. Is this/could this be possible? What I’d like is to have the Title and Caption in the default area over the thumbnail (as I do have it) and use the Description box in the lightbox. If this is not possible now, you should consider it :) I really want the option to have longer text that does not effect my thumbnail view!

Well it’s inthe lightbox settings and they use the img alt and link title so I don’t know how could I make it less misleading. Glad you figured it out, nice use of my plugin!

Maybe a small note about checking out the documentation for further use on those in the lightboxes? Could point people in the right direction. I skipped right over it when I read the docs!! :) Thanks for the replies!

I gues I’ll need to do a video about it someday.

Should the plugin work in a custom post type?

It will in v1.4. It’ll fetch all non-built in post types + built in ‘post’ + built in ‘page’ types.

Ok, thanks for the answer. Waiting for the update. Amazing plugin.

Thanks!

I just installed your plugin and looks fantastic but I’m running into one issue. I am using NextGen to generate albums based on tags using the following shortcode: [nggtags album=modernkitchen]. The justified image grid works on all the standard galleries and albums but I can’t figure out how to get it to work with these tag generated albums. Is there some way to make this work? If not, is there another gallery plugin that will allow me to generate albums from tag descriptors that can be displayed properly with Justified Image Grid?? Thank you!

My plugin doesn’t support nextgen’s tags but if you contact me I’ll see what I can do. I don’t know any plugins that might be used for this purpose.

Hi Firsh, are the images fetched from Facebook stored locally?

Thanks

So any social shares (likes, tweets, etc) of the photo will be towards the url on Facebook correct? Any way I should look into to store the photos locally?

Thanks again, definitely one of the best gallery plugins I’ve come across.

Individual shares will share the gallery url with the prettyphoto # at the end, not the facebook image URL . Individual like is not built-in, but is available as a custom job. The other sharers do share the individual pics. The like likes the gallery URL .

Thank you Firsh. The gallery URL should be all I’m looking for. I will let you know if custom job needed.

HI, I am very interested in purchasing this plugin but I have a question. All the images that I have in our site are of the products that we are selling, can this plugin be used with the images? I am hoping that customer will take at the product images and like them, tweet them or pin them. Please let me know. Thank you.

Individual like is only available as a custom job, for the others: yes, but they’ll like the product image in the gallery, not the product selling page. If you put a gallery for each product, that’s better. Not sure which scenario you want.

Does this plugin work with Facebook Pages or only Personal Profiles? What is required for configuration?

It works with them, you need to create an App (documented how-to).

I have the follow issue, could you help me with that?

The element is invisible or too thin. Tabs/AJAX sites are unsupported. (Justified Image Grid)

Contact me via E-mail I need to look into this deeper.

thanks for your help, i love this gallery :)

Thank you.

Hello!

It is possible to exclude the post featured image from the gallery?

Thanks

edit: found the solution by myself.

<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[justified_image_grid exclude=”’ . get_post_thumbnail_id( $post->ID ) . ’”]’); ?>

That’s more automatic but yes, glad you figured it out.

Thanks .. enabling permalinks did the job!

Cool!

Bought it today. Looks good!

When using images from Nextgen link seems broken.

I am trying to display all the galleries from an album in Nextgen. The galleries are displayed perfectly but on clicking any of the galleries the same page reloads. (cannot access the gallery!)

Please help. I have made a temporary age showing the problem. http://topyaps.com/gallery-2/

You have to enable permalinks, and click to Proceed ‘Create new URL friendly image slugs’ in nextgen options. Also go to WP’s permalinks settings, switch back to the first option, then back to your desired one. Also tick this “The album will not link to a gallery subpage. The gallery is shown on the same page. ” on the gallery tab in the nextgen options.

If you have Shiba plugin installed, remove it. These should solve it.

I can not get my business facebook page added. When I go to settings and “add a facebook page” I enter the domain for our page and it just continuously “communicates” with facebook. I have to exit the settings to get it to stop. I have it over 2 hours and nothing. It’s a public page. I also tried going through my personal page and creating an app thinking I could go through it to get to my business page but still nothing.

Just write me an email through my profile.

I wrote you an email. Please email me at blackhawkentertainment@yahoo.com

Sent you the file.

I’m using NextGen Gallery to manage my images, and while it claims to be able to handle HTML in image captions, I notice that when I use JIG to display the thumbnails and PrettyPhoto as the lightbox, there’s no HTML in the captions. When I create a test page to display the images using NGG the HTML is preserved. I’m just trying to add simple paragraph breaks. Is there a fix for this?

Yes contact me and I’ll send you a version that keeps the html. It’s striped because lightboxes other than prettyphoto don’t unsecape the html they get from link title or img alt attributes and display scrambled text :( So it is removed by default, this is intentional. Contact me from my profile.

Hi, just bought the plugin and I need some help. I want the gallery to consist of all square pictures of same height and width. I’m displaying album covers that are all the same(or just about) the same ratio, but may differ in size. I’m trying to create a gallery with aligned rows of pictures with all square proportions. When I try to do it some of them differ slightly in width making it un-aligned and look sloppy. How do I do this?

This gallery won’t crop them to equal squares (I’ve thought of that feature by the way). There is an ‘incomplete last row’ setting, that you set to ‘match’, the last row will mimic the previous if incomplete (if all your pics are exactly the same ratio). Additionally, show me the link.

Thanks so much for this great plugin and your top-notch support! My client absolutely loves how the image grid and lightboxes look, and I love that you’ve included a nice mobile lightbox, and I also love how easy it is to use the settings or the shortcodes to control everything!

Thanks for your feedback ;)

Try the new version, v1.4 is out! The settings have tabs now.

I love the layout of the galleries. However, I would like to be able to click on a picture and then send it to a regular WP page. Is there a way to do that instead of it going to a lightbox?

1. In a month. I really want to push it but there are a lot of new stuff coming (look at the changelog of the previous updates).

2. It’s in the documentation but not the # trick. That would result in it not linking to anywhere. Yes all that you mentioned is possible (the 2/3 types of linking can coexist).

3. You can have any look for any image source. NextGEN is just a gallery manager plugin that is easier and better then the WP media library. My plugin was made compatible with it. Yes this is plugin is about ‘how’ it looks and it needs a source (expanding choices). Flickr and Facebook are built-in sources, you don’t need another plugin for that. So is the native WP media library. But NextGEN is a plugin. Yes the 3rd plugin ‘slot’ in the chain is the lightbox. See the preview for included or compatible lightboxes.

Thanks. About to purchase..

v1.4 is out!

Hi,

we’re interested in purchasing this splendid looking plugin, but want to verify one thing first: All demos load a light box upon clicking on an image. Is it possible to link to the standard WordPress attachment/image view instead?

Greetings, Florian

Attachment/image view: no, but I can apply a small customization. Perhaps I’ll add that feature to the next version. You can point to custom URLs currently.

Hi,

I have one more problem with importing Flickr images into JIG .

No matter what I do, the order of images is always the same. I want my last image uploaded on Flicker to be the first one in my Flickr gallery on WP. And what I get everytime is my last image on Flickr is my last image on WP, ascending or descending order by date is always the same, like changing shortcode does not work at all.

Order is only for WP images, not Flickr.

Hi, I just bought this plugin. I’ve read through the documentation, perhaps I’ve missed something, but i’m trying to figure out how to display several albums from a facebook page in one gallery? I don’t want to add a new shortcode for each one as then they won’t align nicely. Also my client has a lot of albums with few photos in each. Is there a way to add more albums?

I wish there was some automation to this so when my client adds a new album to their facebook page it would show up on their website as well… Thanks

Currently you can’t do that, you need to load one album per gallery, and select the album manually.

Hi,

when I pull images from my Flickr account they load on page just fine, but when I click on them they load the image in new tab. After i close that new tab and go back to my gallery page I see lightbox opened and can browse images.

I don’t think this is the way it was suppose to be. How can I prevent this?

I’m using WP 3 .4.2 with FooBox and your plugin. It is the same with all lightbox options.

Forget it. Sorry to bother.. here is the solution to my case: - i have External links plugin that loads all external links in new window. - adding the exception for staticflickr.com insite External links solved it.

TY

Yep…that worked http://stationeronsunrise.com/

Thank you Thank you!!
