I cant get mine to pull random images. It just keeps pulling the same ones. There are 10 in the gallery. I have random selected in the settings and the following code on the page: [justified_image_grid preset=1 row_height=211 animation_speed=300 margin=4 limit=12 max_rows=2 link_target=_self]
Am I missing something?
According to this it’s not set to random. Add orderby=rand. If you set random in the main settings, and the preset=1 in the shortcode, the shortcode overrides it as the preset comes with its own settings.
Oh, and will the “Powered by FooBar” text under images be removed when I purchase FooBar licence?

It’ll work with all presets if you select FooBOX in the shortcode editor. I don’t know if you can control the social networks, ask that plugin’s developer.
Hello, I just bought this plugin. I get an JQuery-Error, which tells me, there is an old version in use. I can’t get it to work, no matter which JQuery-Source or Load-Location I choose to bypass this behaviour.

ive got one Problem.
i use Next Generation Gallery (NGG) and Social Gallery, booth in actual Versions.
I set the “Authors Preset” as default, and switch the settings for Lightbox to “Social Gallery”.
And now my Problem: if i set the “justified_image_grid preset=1….” all works perfect.
if i set it to: justified_image_grid preset=2…., 2 Lightboxes open…
And an other thing… if i use preet=2 in Google Chrome i must resize the Window to show up the Gallery, with preset=1 it shows up directly….
some Ideas?

Have you set the lightbox settting in the settings or in the shortcode editor? Because a preset may include its own setting for what lightbox to use. If you set it in the settings, but use a preset=2 shortcode attribute, it’ll use what lightbox it comes with. To override that, select another lightbox in the shortcode editor (not the main settings).
Preset 1 uses prettyPhoto, while preset 2 uses ColorBox (just to give it more variety). What you want to do is select preset 2 and add this: lightbox=prettyphoto.
So try the shortcode like this:
[justified_image_grid preset=2 lightbox=prettyphoto]

i set it on the Setting and try at first no preset… (but change before the Lightbox to Social Gallery).
Now i see that after the Option Social Gallery the Mark “NOT ACTIVE ” is. Can this effekt it? Because now i set it to “prettyPhoto” (as General Settings and no preset in the Link) and its open the Social Gallery without a second Lightbox….
How to fix the NOT Active from Social Gallery? I see this Problem some Post before, but no Solution…
And the other Question… Is there a way to override the default PRESETS ??? So that i can use the Presets without the Lightbox Tag?
I have a hard time following you as on your link the social gallery works with my plugin. What are you trying to accomplish? To use prettyPhoto instead? What version of Social Gallery do you have?
You can’t override presets permanently. But if you want to use this setting most of the time, just click preset 2 in the settings, switch the lightbox setting then simply use [justified_image_grid] everywhere you’d use the overridden presets.
Hi, at first, thanks for your fast Help, the hint with the different Lightboxes on different Presets was it. My first try takes an error, because i did not select “prettyPhoto” in the general Setting. I select “Social Gallery”. Now i changed it, and all works fine.
See this Image what i mean with the “Social Gallery – Not Active” mark. I have installed Social Gallery V1.4.

Well it just displays that but if you select it anyway it should work. I have no idea why doesn’t it recognize that you have it installed, I have the check included for Social Gallery v1.4-1.5-1.6 already. Now i upgrade WP to 3.4.2 plugin not show images. I do follow “Troubleshooting” in document and plugin still not work.

my gallery page http://multiple-owners.com/test-gallery/There is a bug where you have too few images that couldn’t fill one row and the ‘incomplete last row’ is set to ‘hide’ (by you, or using preset 10). The row might get hidden because it’s incomplete and it’s the last one. Add more images, or change the preset! This is fixed in the next release. It has nothing to do with wp 3.4.2
I see you now have an ‘old jQuery’ error. Send me an email for further support. Also please tell me what software you used to make that screenshot of the settings, I need that.
Hi…I am about to purchase this plugin. It’s one of the only ones that has a nice mobile swipe feature. I do have a question, on mobile, when I select a photo, is it possible to showcase or have the option for social media? Most of my clients will be using a mobile device and the sharing option is key to enhance my market. Is this something that is available ?

If you buy foobox that is responsive and has great social sharing capabilities. Increased compatibility is coming for it in the next update. It’s not swipe, however.

I’m already close about to buy this Plugin, but i have a last question (and I’m Sorry, if this has been already discussed) – Is it possible, to design a Single Column Gallery with this Plugin? Just like here – http://www.markus-nobis.de/album/detail or here http://patrickludolph.de/ It is important for me, to use big images and not too many. Visitors will get very fast very tired of looking dozens of images at the same time. Same for the vertical pictures, they can be (just like in the link’s gallery) side by side.

Yes you’ll be able to achieve something like this. Just set the row height to something big. The portrait pictures will align side by side If you don’t have enough portrait images or they are in the wrong place they’ll mix with the landscape ones and some cropping might occur or that row will be vastly different in height. To avoid this you might also want to manually rearrange the pics until you get the desired result. You’ll need to experiment with the settings (row height and deviation), but I believe it’s possible.

I keep getting an error that I have to re-autorize the facebook authorization. But when i do that, i get this error:
The authentication of current user: Redactie FRfanatic is valid. You can choose from 3 albums. It will expire in expired which is on Invalid Date (Invalid Date)
What happens if you remove the user, save, then re-add?
The same .. i do add current facebook user, and then the reauthorize message comes on top …

Hi again Firsh. Please, I need help. Is it possible to use JIG selected lightbox for a single NextGen image (not gallery)? If I click ‘Upload/Insert’ then I choose a NextGen gallery image what I get is:

Right now I’m keeping active another lightbox plugin for single NextGen images, it works but is this ok when loading JQuery libraries? No conflicts? Thanx again.
Single NG image(s) feature is coming in the next update. I don’t know about conflict nor can I help with how you currently accomplish that without my plugin. If you use the same lightbox, there shouldn’t be a conflict.
Another thing about NextGen I just testet: if I insert a link in the description of an image, it gets stripped out when seeing the image in the lightbox (tested on PrettyPhoto and ColorBox). The link doesn’t work. Normally in NextGen it works and it’s usefull for linking images inside galleries to posts or more…
It’s disabled on purpose because only prettyPhoto supports links and html inside it. I can enable it for you if you wish. Also it’s not good to display links on top of the thumbs as they are already a link and link in link is not valid. So if you don’t show the description on the thumbs but in prettyphoto, it’ll work nicely (but I have to enable it for you, contact me).

Can you please provide a code snippet that would update the “JIG Custom link” content for an image? I want to have my users fill out a form when they create a post & then use content from that form to create a custom page. I need to be able to – in code – update the JIG Custom link to point to the correct page.

I don’t know what you mean by this. What’s more easier than to edit the custom url in the media editor where you set the image title anyway? When you are using nextgen then it’s up to nextgen to handle this.

I was just testing this and got this error on the iphone 4. It happens after a photoswipe when I return to the grid.
The element is invisible or too thin. Tabs/Ajax sites are unsupported.(justified Image Grid)
I have seen someone post something similar so hope you can help.

You already got it over the thumbs, no? Anyway just enable it in the settings (refer to the documentation, also).
Yes its over the thumb at the moment but i want to shift that above each thumbs ? is it possible ? if it is then which file i will have to modify , i cant see anything in documentation where its giving flexibility to align the title caption.

I’ve downloaded and tried to install this gallery so many times. I have a wp theme http://www.cpothemes.com/theme/panoramica. Would that affect the upload? The error I receive is: Unpacking the package… Installing the plugin… The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found. Plugin install failed.
I did install an instagram widget gallery from this site, and it worked… proof that I know how to upload something.

Unpack the zip first and upload the real plugin zip, not the whole package you got from here.

Please, when inserting NextGen shortcode, is it possible to load just the latest uploaded photos, without choosing from any single album (or selecting them all)? This would be very usefull to create small boxed widgets loading only few images. Thank you very much.

Yes. You can select many galleries just putting a comma after their ID in the shortcode. Select the desired most recent: [recent max=”10”] or randomize them [random max=”10”]
