Hey,
when we try to activate the plugin, we always get this error message: “The theme/plugin with was not found.”
We use Roots/Bedrock as our WordPress base, if that should be relevant.
Can you help us? Best regards Sebastian
Hi there! We have already solved the issue via email. For future customers: Make sure the folder of your uploaded plugin is “real-media-library”. Regards, Matthew
Hello, it seems that my version is still 3.4.3 (I guess this was the version when I bought it in 2018) and I cannot update. Do you have any advice what went wrong or how to update? Thank you (I bought the regular license). Best Regards
Hi there! For this old version you need to update manually by downloading the latest version here from CodeCanyon and replace it with your current version. Since RML v4.1 you can enter your purchase code and update within your WordPress dashboard. Best regards, Matthew
Hi. Looking for a plug in where users have rights to specific folders. i.e. X can see files in folder Cars but Y cannot see it. Does your plug in do this function?
Hi there! Please check out this: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-media-library-permissions-management-folders-per-user/ Regards, Matthew
Hello, i found an issue with YOAST SEO Pro. When im editing a Post or Page, and i want to choose the image for Social, when the Media Library opens in a modal, no already uploaded images are shown. In fact, no image from no folder are loaded. Always i got that no image exists. Any idea? Thanks
Hi there! What version of Real Media Library do you have installed? Regards, Matthew
Hello, i have Real Media Library Versión 4.17.3 and Real Physical Media Versión 1.4.5.
Hi again! What file formats does the uploaded files have? Are this e.g. SVG files?
Hello! really strange thing… now i can see all files that i try to select from Yoast Seo. I did nothing… and now is working fine. Uhm.. strange. But the good thing is that the issue is gone! Thanks!
does this work with BuddyBoss existing folder structures? For ex… uploads/bb_medias, does Real Media Library able to see the files that are uploaded via BuddyBoss to its folder?
Hi there! Thanks for your message. Unfortuantely, Real Media Library does not detect unregistered files on your server. RML can only work with files in your media library. Regards, Matthew

Hello,
question before buying.
What happens if you deactivate or remove your plugin from the site?
I don’t see anything written on this point.
Thank you
Hi there! All your media keeps in your media library. Best regards, Matthew
Hello,
yes this is clear.
1 – I would like to know if the folders created inside the plugin are only virtual, or if they reorganize the original Media folder.
2 – Another question is it possible to filter the media by Author?
3 – Is it possible to show the author only the files uploaded by him?
Thank you
Hi,
1. The folder structure is virtual. So, no files are moved in your wp-content/uploads folders (unless you use our add-on Real Physical Media https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-real-physical-media-physical-media-library-folders-seo-rewrites/23104206).
2. No, this feature isn’t offered by the plugin.
3. We would love to offer that feature, but that’s not possible because of the lack of permissions in the WordPress core. Learn more about that topic at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-media-library-permissions-management-folders-per-user/
Best regards,
Jan
Hi
I have a problem with the plugin WP Real Media Library. I use Wordpress 5.8.2 and the plugin version 4.0.7. When I insert a gallery on the page, only the text “[folder-gallery fid=”11” orderby=”rml”]” appears in the editor area. In a previous version, the gallery then appeared with the individual images. But currently I see the gallery only in the frontend and no longer in the backend. Is this a bug or do I have to set something else somewhere?
I found an old blog entry that is about 1.5 years old and back then the same problem occurred. According to the blog entry this behavior should be lifted. Do you have a tip for me?
Kind regards Marcel
Hi there! Can you please ugprade to the latest version 4.17.2 and check if this fixes the issue? Regards, Matthew
Thanks for the Feedback. It’s work.
Hello,
We are using your WordPress Real Media Library plugin. I’m looking for a solution. We have 57 main trees and a lot of subfolder (25000+ files, 1.5 MB response realmedialibrary/v1/tree?_v=4.15.0) on Media Library. So my Media Library is frozen on browser. I checked Local Storage and you are using AIOT-rml1 object. How can I set all expandNodes is false? Or there is available lazy loading for subtrees? Or have you any solution for this?
I need just show main trees (unexpanded) for every media library page visit.
Best Regards
Hi there! Thanks for your message. What version of Real Media Library are you currently using? Best regards, Matthias
Hi! I updated 4.17.1. And also can I disable expand all options?
Left to the search folder input, you will find a “minus” icon. Clicking this, will collapse all folders.
Come on man
I’m a developer and i can’t see any solution on your Developer API’s. Can you give me git access for your repos?
Nevermind, I solved https://gist.github.com/ThemeSama/f1a37ca4f7ff214768782a8a27487f08
Hi again! Unfortunately, we cannot provide access to our repository, as we are using a mono-repository across all our products (including backends). But thanks for your gist, I will definitely bookmark it! Regards, Matthew
Good day I am in the process of setting up a multisite for a customer of mine. Now I need a central media library so that all pictures and videos are available on all sub-pages and do not have to be uploaded twice. Is it possible to do this with WordPress Real Media Library? Because at GIT I found network-media-library-1.5.0, unfortunately this is no longer being developed and is no longer compatible with the latest version of WordPress + woocommerse. Or do you have an idea how I can implement this that I get a central library? Kind regards Sascha Kätsch
P.S. my english is not that good so i use google translate.
Hallo Sascha,
Jan
I cannot enter the license key in WP 5.8.1 – when you press “Enter License” you get a broken layout in the revealed license settings table row with just an ‘activate’ button and ‘what’s this?’ text.
I’ve tried in Chrome and Firefox on Mac OS X
Hi there! Can you please try to deactivate all other plugins expect RML and check if the issue persists? Regards, Matthew
Hi I THOUGHT THAT THE PRO VERSION could make the directory in alphabetic order?
best Lars
Hi Lars! Yeah, you can order the folders by criteria in this way: https://i.imgur.com/CvzeesZ.png Regards, Matthew
Do you a demo version ?
Hi! Yeah, please check out this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/real-media-library-lite/ Regards, Matthew
I updated Wordpress and this plugin with the latest version but the modal for category selection when uploading a new file (when editing a page) is put behind the Media library. So I can’t select a folder for the image.
Hi papegoj,
Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem in our test environment. Could you please open a support ticket at devowl.io/support, showing us the problem in a short video recording for better understanding?
Best regards,
Jan
It was a problem with wpml apparently. In their new version they added an !important to some general class that caused problems with your plugin. So it’s fixed now, sorry for jumping the shark before testing it out more properly.
Hello, I purchased the Media Library Pro for my website but I still can’t seem to get it to work! Is there something else I need to do? I need this to work properly! I don’t believe for a minute that there is anything wrong with it, it’s my lack of knowledge! I am still learning the website! Thank You Rick Sharples
Hi Rick,
what exactly do not work for you? At https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/codecanyon-install-wordpress-plugin/ you find a tutorial how to install the plugin.
Best regards,
Jan
Hi there, I am using the latest version of the plugin as well as latest WP version. I just updated the plugin yesterday, but now I am unable to upload to the media library. WP threw an error, which is here:
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 194 of the file /plugins/real-media-library/inc/general/Core.class.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Class ‘MatthiasWeb\RealMediaLibrary\attachment\CountCache’ not found in /plugins/real-media-library/inc/general/Core.class.php:194
I have removed the domain name and server folder structure as a security precaution. Can you help me?
Thanks!

Hi there,
I have uploaded images into folders using your plugin.
I then attached these images to WooCommerce products.
If I go and check the images attached to the WooCommerce product it says that the images are still “unattached”
Why are they saying “unattached” even though they are being used for woocommerce product images?
Hi there! Thanks for your message. Can you please check, if this issue also persists if you deactivate Real Media Library? Regards, Matthew
Hi there
Is there a way where I can have this folder structure
Jewelry -> Rings -> Earrings —> Silver Earrings —> Gold Earrings
and if I click on “earrings” it shows all the items in the subfolders “Silver Earrings” and “Gold Earrings”?
Right now if I click on earrings it is empty beacuse all my images are in the subfolders
thanks
Hi there! Thanks for your request. Unfortunately, this is not possible. But I have added this to our product feature ideas. Regards, Matthew
Hi,
I am using the plugin in some websites under same domain but different subdomains. I tried to register your plugin by inserting purchase code in one of them and a message is displayed because I reached the numbers of websites. Maybe old websites domain are still registered into your database.
Could you give me an email address to send you email to confirm my main domain and subdomains?
Thanks!
Hi there! Please open a support ticket via https://devowl.io/support . Regards, Matthew
