I am developing a site featuring teachers. Each teacher will have their own page on the site and I want to be able to bring in their own feeds from Facebook and Instagram on their page on the website only. Is it possible to add your plugin as a widget or shortcode to each teacher page and have each of these pages have it’s own social media accounts for the feed?

Thanks for your reply. Can you clarify the admin access you mentioned? I will be the admin of the website so I can do this as the admin. If you mean the admin part of the social account, like FB for example, I will not have admin access to each teacher’s FB accounts. Will this still work this way?

I ordered your plugin and upon installing I have a question. I see that it is necessary to use the AUTH tab to connect the facebook/instagram app. Can you please confirm to me that once I do this using my credentials, that I will be able to add additional FB pages and Instagram pages that are NOT mine? The reason is that the teachers that this site is about won’t be comfortable giving me access to their facebook logins to add their accounts. If I understand this correctly, once I connect using my credentials, I can them simply add their pages without having to authorize each of their separate FB page? Thanks, Katia

Re-introduce the “every 5 minutes” updates please. Yes, some servers cannot handle that, but for those that can I would love to see faster updates. We at times post live events and it takes 1h to update the flow flow stream….
Don’t worry I did it. Many have asked this question here in the comments. Would have been easy to tell them how to do it than telling them that you removed it and to contact your paid support. Here’s how to do it people, since it is so easy. Go to the flow-flow folder (the main folder of the plugin) then to the folder “js” and edit the “streams.js” file. Find the lines <select name=”< = uid %>-cache_lifetime” id=”< = uid %>-cache_lifetime”> – after each such line, you get the options like <option value=”60”>Every hour</option>. Simply add a new option like <option value=”5”>Every 5 min</option>. And save. That’s all, since they already have the values in their “admin.js” – same folder. Basically what they did is to remove the visible option from the backend of the flow-flow. Not the code itself….Anyways, you could have let that option there with a warning. It is literally 1 line of code: <option value=”5”>Every 5 minutes (warning, it can toast your server”</option>.
Hi, we’re not recommending to do this. Facebook and Instagram feeds are using our application for API authorization, and this app is shared for all users. So if one user will overload it (API requests), feeds will stop to work, and all other people who are using the app will be affected too.

In this case you can easily enable this for RSS feeds only, and for those that can handle such requests. Right? I only enabled it for RSS.
Cannot add a feed into a poppup? I am testing it here https://www.tromsite.com/tools/podcasts/ – click the top TROM logo and a popup will slide down but it cannot display the feed….in the console I get some errors and looking with the Mozillas Inspector I can see that some parts are loading. What can be the issue?

Hi, we have this on the roadmap, but the latest Facebook/Instagram API changes also did change our plans. So we’re planning to add ATOM feeds support, but have no release date or ETA yet, sorry.

Hello, if we need to add an hashtag feed but from FB is it possible ?
Hi, unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t provide any opportunity to display hashtags via API requests. So its technically impossible to do this right now. We will add this feature for sure as soon as Facebook opens this possibility for developers.
As some workaround, you can create Facebook feeds and add automatic filters https://docs.social-streams.com/article/71-automatic-moderation-with-filters by keywords or hashtags. This will not search through all Facebook, but at least you will be able to filter posts from pre-defined pages (feeds).

Hello,
If u use Wordpress MU, is there anyway to force a generic CRON for all subsites ?
We have to use
add this line to wp-config.php
define(‘FF_USE_WP_CRON’, false);
And call manually /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=flow_flow_refresh_cache
It works per site, not with primary domain of worpdress MU.
It’s not an option to call by CRON all subsites…
Server will crash for sure.

Can you add a sort of filtering of feeds in the backend? Like search for a feed and also sort by disabled/enabled. We use many feeds and it is really difficult to find a specific feed or find those that are disabled. Cheers!

Hi, URLs of pics and videos are expiring on Instagram/Facebook API side for security purposes, so they can’t be stored forever. The plugin will try to refresh links for the last 20 posts or less depending on settings. Please try to disable proxy for images in plugin settings. Hi, I checked this for the last couple of weeks. The images are still broken unless I manually rebuild the feed. It would be very strange to have to rebuild the feed manually. Do you have another solution? It does seem that images of posts older than a month are broken? Maybe an idea to add a function to not show posts older than a month or something?
Hi, we used an old API to get thumbnail-sized images for cards but it was shut down. So we implemented a new way in new version 4.6.9. Please get and install it from the Codecanyon Downloads page or via WordPress plugin updates. After plugin update, re-enable feeds.

Don’t you think that the quality of the images drops significantly when you use Proxy (DISABLE PROXY PICTURES)? Compared to Ax Social Stream, it is very noticeable. There is no difference at all in AX. What’s more, if you compare the feeds loading speed, it is at least 2x faster there and slower here! Why, and the question we ask after the tests – it really is.
Hi, you can use the plugin with a proxy for images disabled, for sure. As for loading speed, it depends on your provider, etc. With no proxy, images are loaded from social APIs servers directly.

We do not fully understand this mechanism. We have 2 websites on the same hosting. One uses Flow Flow and the other uses Ax Social Stream. Both sites have the same theme and the same set of plugins. The image quality in Flow Flow with Proxy enabled is 2x worse and visible to the naked eye. The quality of the pictures in AX does not change. The page loading speed is also about 2x higher in AX. What is this Proxy, is it the default for the browser or the plugin uses its own? Because it looks like, for example, image compression is too aggressive.
PS Instagram still not working!

Just testing your plugin 4.6.5 before buying addons:
1) Tumblr icon and feed not showing after connection (green icon).
2) Instagram feed withe error: “(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (business_discovery) on node type (Page)” Maybe we should wait 24h? We have business account connected to FB.

sounds a bit dumb to say this but I hadn’t realized that when you are browsing flow on a mobile phone you can scroll top to bottom. Very much the latest trend using tik tok as an example. I wonder if a you could pull tiktok in or b you could have gifs that autoplay and lastly youtube that autoplays
