Hi ! Love your plugin, it’s very easy to customize and works great ! I have a question, is it possible to add more fields other than name and email to ask the user before subscription ?
Also, can i add the inserted name on the email response ? What is the shortcode for that ? I am only seeing the #download_link one :/

Thank you for writing to us and sorry for some delay in the reply. Currently we don’t have an option to add additional fields but we will try to come up with the additional fields in our near future udpates.
Regarding adding the inserted name, we didn’t have that option till our previous version but we have just released an update with that feature for which you shall receive the notification shortly. So for first name and last name you can use #first_name and #last name in the download email message.

There is no point in having a function that blocks certain domains, it should have a function to only authorize certain domains, blocking all others. There are temporary emails each time the page is refreshed a new email is generated, it is impossible to block all domains.

Beside domain checking we do have double opt-in and link encryption feature with which you add an extra security to get the verified email.

What trigger text can be used when you choose Pop-up as the display type in the Layout settings for the ‘Subscribe to download ’ plugin on Wordpress.

Thank you for writing to us. There are two ways you can display the popup subscription form. One with the trigger button and one when the page loads or after some delay. For showing the popup with the trigger button, you need to choose popup display as the Display type in the layout settings as shown in the below screenshot.

Hello wpshuffle, thanks very much for the response. We have been able to test the trigger text option , but observed the form disappears immediately after the user taps on the Trigger Text when you are on a mobile device or screen. Any idea why please.

Thank you for sending us the link to check. It seems you have chosen display type as popup and for showing the popup on page load, you won’t need to choose display type as “Popup”. Please choose display type as “Direct Display” in the layout settings and it shall work properly.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually we need or want it to be Display type yo be Pop-Up. That is why we chose that and added the Trigger text. However , when you tap on the Trigger Text on a Mobile Phone, the form does not pop- up for you to fill , it pop’s up and disappears , but works perfectly on a laptop.
Secondly, I sent a request earlier concerning the sync with Mailchimp, but yet to get a response on that please. I have generated the API key and keyed it into the settings and can see it connected but the logs are empty and the list on Mailchimp does not get updated.

Thank you for your reply. The issue is showing is because of conflict of the popup generated by the trigger button and the popup generated with the page load. If you want it as it is then you will need to do a small edit in one of our plugin files. Please download the file available in the below link and replace it inside our plugin’s folder > js > std-frontend.js

Hello, I like this plugin. But some important features are missing:
What about a pagination on the subscriber page? What about a search function to search the subscribers? What about a function to change the order of the columns on the subscriber page?

1. When is the update coming? I am thinking of buying this – but as people are saying about the time expiry and mobile version i am kinda worried. If people come from mobile and they can’t download or something.

1. Regarding link opening from mobile, we have the link encryption feature when enabled, users won’t be able to share the link for download which is verified through browser. When users subscribes from mobile and clicks the download link from the mobile, then they can surely download it. And you can turn this feature off if you don’t want to prevent direct link sharing. We would come up with the time expiry feature in our next update but we don’t have an ETA for next update yet. May be we will release in next 2-3 weeks.
2. After subscribing once, they can access other downloadable files too once subscribed but if you turn on “Always Show” option for the subscription forms, they won’t see the download button for other downloadable files and sees the subscription form instead. You can just turn it on or off as per your requirement.
3. If you don’t add the download file then it will just act as the subscription form.

Great plugin and everything is working perfectly. However the encrypted URL should be validated with time and not a browser cookie.

Just to inform you that we have now added the link expire feature too in our today’s update and also the download link shall be verified through user ip and browser cookie combined. So when user click from same browser or from different browser but with the same IP address then the download shall work which shall also solve the issue of users subscribing from desktop and the link clicking from mobile

Thank you for writing to us. When the link encryption option is turned on, our plugin will check the specific browser from which the subscription has been done to prevent the direct link sharing.
If the link is clicked from different browsers than from which the subscription is done then it won’t perform anything but only displays your site. That might be the reason. Can you please confirm if that is the case?

Thank you for your valuable suggestion but currently we are taking the form alias as the reference for a subscriber to let it download so we are not sending any download information in the form itself. Due to that, we cannot change the download file through a shortcode parameter.
For this you might need to copy the form and change the download file. That is also the primary reason that we had provided form copy feature

Thank you for writing to us and sorry for any inconveniences occurred. As per your explanation, it seems the query is for our another plugin named “Subscribe to Unlock” and this comment thread is for our different plugin named “Subscribed to Download”.
Still we will try to answer your query here too. Since our plugin uses browser cookies to verify the subscription so the verification link shall be clicked from the same browser from which the subscription is done. Can you please check once by clicking from same browser and let us know? That is also done to prevent the users from link sharing so that same verification link cannot be used by any other users to unlock the content.
And if that is not being feasible for you then we also have unlock through code method which will unlock the content by pasting the unlock code received in email. That is just our suggestion

Regarding the browser, we meant that when someone subscribes from chrome browser from their computer then they should click the unlock link received in their email from their same browser in same computer. If they have subscribed from mobile device’s chrome browser then they should click the unlock link from the same mobile’s chrome browser.
Do you mean you are not receiving any email when you use the unlock through unlock code method? If yes then can you please share us your site temporary login details through the contact form available in the below link and we will check why it is not sending email where as you are receiving the unlock link email.
