Hi,
I have enabled the plugin on the product page, but it keeps showing a warning to crop the pictures before proceeding to the uploading, even if this option is disabled on the settings. This doesn’t happen on the checkout / thank you page.
Is there a turnaround?
Thank you!
Hi,
most likely it could be due to a 3rd party plugin interference. Could you check the browser error console and see if any error is reported in there?
Could you try disabling all the other 3rd party plugin and see if you still experience the issue?
Let me know, thank you.
Hi vanquish,
Thank you for your prompt reply!
I got the following error on my console: No IPTC data at this offset – could be XMP located at: /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-upload-files/js/load-image-iptc.js
Any ideas?
Hi again!
I found the problem, there is a conflict with a plugin called Personalization which adds recommendation blocks on the product page. I will check where exactly is the conflict and let you know.
Thank you for sharing the result of your investigation. Ok, I’ll wait for your news!
Meanwhile, have a great day!
Hello
I activate the plugin only in the cart page but but when i purchase a product i see the plugin activated only in a small area its not visible
Thank you
Hi,
what do you mean that you see it only in “a small area its not visible”? Could you provide more detailed description of the issue and some screens?
Thank you.
How do I disable the page scrolling when a popup occurs or when I’m uploading files?
To that you have to modify the wcuf-frontend-cart-checkout-product-page.js.php file you find inside the js folder inside the plugin. Comment/Remove from line 328 to 336.
Once done, go to the Options menu and just hit the Update button, it will recompile that file with.
Remember also to purge the browser (and eventually the server) cache.
Thanks, but that didn’t work. Any other ideas?
- wcuf-frontend-cart-checkout-product-page.js.php: 328 to 336
- wcuf-frontend-order-details-page.js.php: line 270 to 278 and from 333 tp 341
- wcuf-frontend-ui-manager.js: from line 18 to 12 and from line 18 to 26
And remember to perform the “Update” button operation otherwise those files won’t be recompiled and you won’t see any difference. Remember also to purge your cache.
Hi, there is a serious problem with the uploader. Even if all the “Crop setting” are disable, when i try to upload a file appear a message saying “Warnin, Before uploading, you need to crop all the images.” I can’t solve this problem and the plugin is impossibile to use!
Hi,
to ask support you need to renew your support license.
Meanwhile, make sure to be running the latest 55.1 plugin version and that no 3rd party plugins are interfering by temporarily disable them.
Hi,
after moving my website from localhost to online the plugin is acting strange.
Using Chrome the plugin is in “Loading..” mode for ever. If I try a different browser, everything is fine.
Do you know of this kind of issue?
Unfortunately no, never heard about this kind of issue.
Try eventually to completely uninstall the plugin and reinstall. Try also giving a look at the browser error console to see if any further info is reported!
Hi there, the button “Delete selected files” appears in English directly after the file upload, even though I entered a German translation in the backend. Only if I go back to the product page from the cart, the button displays in German. Thanks for help! Frank
Hi Frank, the static strings (the one that cannot be customized through the backend) have to be translated trough the .pot translation file (located in the language folder inside the plugin). Just use a po editor (like https://poedit.net/ ), create a .po file for your language, translate the strings you need, and save. It will create a .mo file that you have to save back with the .mo file into the language folder
The .po and .mo file must be named as woocommerce-files-upload-ru_RU.po and woocommerce-files-upload-de_DE.mo (where de_DE is the language code for Germany)
Sorry to bother you again with this, however I don’t find the string in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages/woocommerce.pot Another option would be to deactivate the button as it seems redundant (users can also click the red X to delete fields….) Thanks for help
No problem!
The file is inside the plugin folder: wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-upload-files\languages
Not inside the woocommerce folder!
That worked! Thanks a lot!
You’re welcome!
I want to sell a custom-designed mug. Is there an area in your plugin on the product page where you can both upload files and write the user’s last name?
You can enable the “Feedback” option: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5hqjqxwk6r48kmg/wcuf_feedback_option.jpg?dl=0
while configuring the field by which your customer can enter its last name or whatever you need.
You can test that option through the demo site in order to be sure it actually works as you expect before purchasing.
I couldn’t. Would you show one made?
Yes, here how to enable it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5hqjqxwk6r48kmg/wcuf_feedback_option.jpg?dl=0
Hi, I don’t see where I can deactivate the feedback text field above the drag and drop area. Thanks for help. Frank
Hi Frank,
you have just to disable the option you enabled to display that area: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5hqjqxwk6r48kmg/wcuf_feedback_option.jpg?dl=0 (you find it in the “General” tab while configuring the field!)
Thanks a lot. That worked. I have a last thing to resolve – I don’t want to use the quantity selector (I use the Woocommerce variants option for giving quantity options to customers). Also uploading multiples files shouldn’t change the quantity from 1. So how can I do this / make the selector disappear? Best, Frank
This has been resolved – I changed this in the product details.
Glad to hear that!!!
Have a great day!
Hello, in my store I have the option that the user can donate to an organization in the same checkout.
When the user adds this new product (donation) the form that allows to upload a file from the checkout is duplicated and appears one for the donation and another for the rest of the products in the cart.
Can you help me so that in any case only one form appears where to attach a document and they are not duplicated?
I’m sorry, but I do not understand your scenario.
Have you customized in any way the product management? How have you created that donation product? Which is the upload field configuration you are using? Do you have any screen?
Note if you want to make that the upload field appears just for a specific product, you can use the special product restriction option: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gpqaowq1fuh4frq/wcuf_visibility_5.jpg?dl=0
Make however sure that you have not altered the checkout page and product management (like for example installing a plugin that creates custom product types) in any way.
Hello, there I have a problem with uploading the photos from customers in my dropbox. I connect everything like how is described I write and the Dropbox auth key and is not working I have this error received in my email after someone try to make order.
The following error has been generated by your site: During the file(s) upload process on Dropbox, the plugin got this error:
{“error_summary”: “path/malformed_path/”, “error”: {”.tag”: “path”, “reason”: {”.tag”: “malformed_path”}, “upload_session_id”: “AAAAAAAAAEcphv-Si_5WlQ”}}
For file:/home/penkol61/public_html/wp-content/uploads/wcuf/11168/11108-0-1/close-up-photo-of-cat-3270985.jpg
DON’T WORRY! files have been stored in the local wp-content/wcuf folder
You can normally manage the uploaded file(s) via the admin order edit page.
Be sure that the max_execution_time PHP setting is properly setted. For large files execution time may excede the configured time. So in case you are handling big file, try increase that setting.
yes, it seems that your server has some issue on copying the file from its local to the dropbox services.
As you can see from the “error_summary” description, the error seems related to a “malformed path”. That could happen when for some reason the file is no longer available in the local storage.
This, however, depend on a server issue more than a plugin issue. What I can suggest is to try giving a look to the server error log to have more clues about the issue and eventually contact the server maintainer to have it fixed.
Hey , i need a shortcode for elementor this one is not working : [wcuf_product_page_upload_form]
Hi,
what do you mean that is not working? Could you provide a more detailed description of the issue?
Note that the shortcode hasn’t any special support for Elementor. So if you load that shortcode in special sections (like special accordion menu or sections loaded via ajax) it may not work as expected.
Make also sure that that tool is not breaking the upload ara HTML structure and that it is properly loading all the plugin assets files (javascript and CSS files).
i am just adding the shortcode in a container in my single product page and using the “[wcuf_product_page_upload_form]” shortcode but nothing happends.
As you can imagine, without any further clue, it is quite hard to suggest any solution. It may depend that the customized page is not loading the plugin assets files or just on a misconfiguration issue.
Note that to properly use that shortcode, you have to go into the Options menu and under the Disable upload field standard managment you have to check the Product pages option.
In the case of variable product, you need first to chose a variation before the upload area is loaded and displayed for that selection.
If none of the above helped, please go in the frontend page and give a check to the browser error console and report me if any error is reported. Please, if possible, link here the product page where you are experiencing the issue.
Sorry but nothing is working, i want a refund. Thank you.
A refund won’t be granted due to misconfigurations or due to 3rd party issues. However, the author cannot emit directly a refund. You have to use the codecanyon refund request tool. They will investigate further.
Hello
Plugin has issue with ( WP Bakery & WordPress classic editor ) . Slash added automatically before any double quote. please check the screenshot https://postimg.cc/7bzPYWMs
Thanks
Hello,
I’m sorry, but the plugin hasn’t any issue with the WP Bakery + Classic editor plugins. The plugin doesn’t alter post or product edit pages, in fact as you can see from the following image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zydkms2kcv6ch39/wcuf_js_editor.jpg?dl=0
Contet is not manipulated in any way. You can also perform a test by yourself by usign this special demo site. https://vanquishplugins.com/woocommerce/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit (user: demo, pass: demo).
For any issue related to that plugin, you should contact their help staff.
Hi Were looking to use just the feedback section for one category. Don’t need to upload anything this this category. How do we do this? Thank you
I’m really sorry, the plugin is designed to manage files upload not just text. The feedback text is a feedback for the upload file and it can be showed only with an upload files area.
Ok thank you for the reply.
Hi,
I would like to ask, how can I disable a feature.
I need to disable the ability for my client to delete files from his account when he sees his order.
Thanks, Mikhail
Hi Mikhail,
you find that option while configuring the field: https://www.dropbox.com/s/32dzj446btkogk9/wcuf_delete_file_option.jpg?dl=0
!
Hi! thanks so much, I did not see it
I actually have another question, I noticed that the plugin renames the files. Is it possible to configure this? It would be a great feature because, I could configure names so that when I download the file I will know right away what I need to do with this file.
My shop is based on photo printing, and my products on the shop are different variations like size and material.
Actually there isn’t an option for that
For security reasons, the plugin just adds a number in the name to try to make them unique.
You can, however, use this addon: www.codecanyon.eu/add-ons/wcuf-product-folder-name.zip That renames the folder name according the product name. You can eventually edit its code to customize according to your needs.
So if you are downloading from FTP or Dropbox, you will know to which product they refer.
If you instead download the files from the order page, you already have the info about the product they are referring: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4wq5n13p1ii0470/wcuf_product_name_download.jpg?dl=0
Hi, I have just bought the plugin “Upload Files”. On my test-site it shows an JS error on “upload files configurator” page:
Error type: Uncaught TypeError: jQuer4x(...).contextualinfo is not a function On script: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=woocommerce-files-upload Line: 1323
In case that I disable your warings on Option page, the Upload options page does not open at all!
Please help me to get your plugin working!
Regards, Michael
Hi Michael,
it seems that a 3rd party plugin is including its javascript libraries in all the admin pages (including the upload configurator page) instead of just in its. This may cause an interference, in this specific case, it seems it is raising an error preventing the browser to properly execute the Woocommerce Upload Files javascript libraries.
Please go to the Options menu and under the Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries then try again accessing the page to see if you still getting the error.
If it doesn’t help, you need to disable all the 3rd party plugins and enable one by one until you find the interfering one. Once done, you should report to its developer in order to fix it!
Hello, I get the follwoing error:
Error type: Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).contextualinfo is not a function On script: https://websitename/wp-admin/admin.php?page=woocomerce-files-upload Line:2849
Please can you point me in the right direction to rectify this?
Thanks
Hello,
it seems that a 3rd party plugin is including its javascript libraries in all the admin pages (including the upload configurator page) instead of just in its. This may cause an interference, in this specific case, it seems invoking an undefined “contextualinfo ” function that makes the browser javascript engine to crash.
Please go to the Options menu and under the Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries then try again accessing the page to see if you still getting the error. Note also that even if you are getting that error but you are still able to create, edit and save the upload field, you can safely ignore (you find an option in the Options menu, Show warning alert on Upload files configurator page, that disable the warning popup).
Let me know!
Thanks very much for the detailed repsonse. I have disabled the plugin that was interfering and all sorted now, thanks again.
You’re welcome!

Hi, I’ve purchased this plugin and I have a question
I placed the uploader only at the check-out page. I have 3 uploaders there, 2 of them are mandatory. Thus the user can not proceed to place the order wihout upload some files. The problem I have is that the user dont get any message to understand that he has to upload the files to continue. Is there any clever solution to this issue?
You can visit https://www.e-menus.app/en/ Please select a plan, foe example Silver, and try to place an order
thank you
Hi,
thank you for your purchase
If you enable the “mandatory” option for the upload fields, if the user tries to complete checkout, a message notifies about the missing files: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kpv4jqf2e7h5lal/wcuf_checkout_warning.jpg?dl=0
You can eventually use the field description to warn the user about the mandatory field.
For a more “invasive” notification, you can eventually try using any 3rd party plugin to show popup on the checkout page.
If you have altered in any way the checkout page, make also sure that the installed plugin is not interfering in any way.
on the my account page the upload file will not works. can you share you support email so i will send you the details of my site.
could you provide more detaile description of the issue you are experiecing?
Make also sure that no 3rd party plugin are interfering by disabling all of them. Give also a check to the browser error console (Chrome: F12, Firefox: CTRL+SHIFT+U) to see if any error message is reported in there.
Most likely it is due to a 3rd party plugin interference.
Please perform the tests I’ve reported in the previous comment and let me know.
Yes, make sure that plugin is not interfering. It seems it is raising an error that makes the browser javascript engine to crash. This crash prevents the browser to properly execute the WooCommerce Upload Files javscript libraries and then properly perform the upload process.
Fix that plugin (eventually, report to its developer) and you should no longer experience the issue.
so you have no solution for it ?
Yes, and it has just been reported. You have to fix the plugin that is causing the error. As you can see in the demo site, in a full working environment, the plugin works without any issue.
More in specific it seems that a javascript library is not able to load the “electro-slider-place_der.1-300×300.png” file causing the crash.
Only the file uploader takes time on the page. Even I change just quantity variation, it shows the loading message and delay. Please let me know if you guys can fix this issue and delete the loading message.
Hi,
there isn’t anything to fix, the plugin is designed in that way. This can be also seen in the demo site when testing the software.
Every time you select a variation, the plugin loads its specific upload area via ajax. This may take time according to the user connection and the server speed to process that request.
The same thing happens when deleting a file.
To speed up that operation you may eventually consider switching to a more powerful hosting profile in order to have those ajax requests processed faster. There will be however some delays caused by the user connection.
