Yes, if you manually overwrite the file, it will work. Files are stored in the wp-content/wcuf/{order_id}/{product_id-variation_id} folders (in case of dropbox, the folder structure is the same).
Couple of presale questions: 1. When the purchase is complete, are the uploaded files saved in a different directory? 2. Can we (somehow) see a relationship between the uploaded files and the purchases (in other words, can we connect the uploaded files in the saved directory to specific purchases: these files are related to these purchase, those files are related to those purchase, etc…)
- yes the are moved from the temp directory to the final directory
- yes, the directory that contains the order uploads has as name the order id. Uploads are stored in subfolders that have as name the product id to which their refer

Peace, I’ve been using your extension for about two years now with no problems .. Suddenly there is a problem with uploading pictures .. It doesn’t upload them .. So I purchased an updated extension and replaced the old one .. But for some reason the new extension is inactive – or actually stuck and unable to activate it. Nothing happens after activation attempt .. I’d love to support them as soon as possible .. Thanks

I turned off all the extensions .. Still can’t run it … As mentioned the extension worked with the same extensions and on the same site for two years .. Recently there was a problem and the pictures did not upload so I upgraded the extension but now can not activate it .. Need help .. Thanks

The only thing that I can do is if you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- your email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area
- FTP access
- username and activation code
To perform the activation and try to analyze the browser error console to see if any info is reported.

Yes, as suspected the issue is related to the 403 error.
I’ve analyzed the page and the javascript library used by the activation page is not loaded. If you try in fact directly accessing the script https://www.yaelman.co.il/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-upload-files/js/vendor/vanquish/activator.js you will get the 403 error

Unfortunately, there isn’t much I can do. It seems that your server has some issues with serving that file. For this kind of matter, however, you should contact your server maintainer.
If you are using any security plugin (I see you are using wordfence) make sure it is not blocking the serving of those files.
The issue is exactly the same I got when I was trying to access the wp-admin page (403 error). So, what I can suggest, is to apply the fix you performed to let me access that page even for all the plugin assets files (javascript and css files).

For static strings you have to create a .po file for your language. To do that, do the following: edit the woocommerce-files-upload.pot file you find inside the language folder using a po editor (like https://poedit.net/ ), create a .po file for your language and translate the strings you need and save. It will create a .mo file that you have to save back with the .mo file into the language folder. The .po and .mo file must be named as woocommerce-files-upload-ru_RU.po and woocommerce-files-upload-es_ES.mo (where es_ES is the language code for Spanish)

I’m sorry, you cannot. The plugin in order to set up its subcomponents and to implement its features has to perform some computations.
Computations don’t come at zero cost and if the software is executed in a server with inadequate performance (like a virtual shared web hosting service) the user may experience some slowdowns, especially if using it in conjunction with others.
IFf the software had no impact on performance for hosting company there would no need to offer different hardware solutions.
What I can suggest is to switch to a more powerful hosting service or to try to reduce page load times through a caching system.
First question; if they upload an image and then don’t complete the purchase, is the uploaded file saved to my server?
I don’t want random people uploading images.
Second, if I need to move the image upload to the thank you page so that the upload is after the purchase (this is if the uploaded files are saved even when the purchase is not completed) is there a way to edit the page with a button to return them to the home page?

the temporarly files are deleted every hour. You can increase/decrease that value trough the Options menu.

can I restrict the product upload to display only if they have a product that needs an image, I have a number of products that should not have any uploads.

that red cross is used to remove the uploaded file. In the case of multiple files, you can delete a single file by just clicking that icon!

Two more question. My upload file is on my ckeckout page only. 1. How can i test it without really proceeding to ckeckout and payment. 2. Not clear how to retrieve the uploaded files. I ckecked the box “Attach uploaded file to admin notification email?” but how can I test if it works? I use gmail, can i get 25MB email or 10MB email?

- You could temporarily enable the “cash on delivery” payment method, place an order and then disable it. So you can test the checkout workflow without the need to make a real payment!

Hello. Please make sure you have enabled the option to show the field in the product page. Make also sure that you have not enabled any option to restrict the field visibility (by user role, payment gateway, order status, etc).
In the case of variable product, note that you have first to choose a variation and the plugin will load the upload area for that variation.
Regarding the “ho the way part of your site performs”, what do you mean? Note that the plugin to set up its components and features has to perform some computations, and those computation doesn’t come at zero cost. So make sure you are running your web server on an adequate hardware.
Awesome! I was able to get it to work however for some reason it is causing my off canvas cart to expand to the full width of the screen. Any idea why?
It could be due to a CSS interference. However, without any further clue, it is quite hard to say.

you can safely activate in the main site. The activation system allows you to activate the plugin in two distinct domains (one for testing purpose and the other for production). Furthermore, for each domain, you can reactivate unlimited times (including subfolders and subdomains).

You cannot. Envato usage license allows you to use the product in one end product, not one end product at the time. Once activate you cannot deactivate. For any license related question, please contact the Envato staff.

I am interested in this plugin but have few questions before I can buy:
1. Is it possible to make the up-loader field is shown to customer after they have added the product into the basket?
2. Can the upload be on a pop up?
3. Does it have proofing system? I mean you can click to preview to accept or reject your upload.
4. Can I setup margin or size of a business card then when a client uploads the artwork it shows if the size is okay or if it runs outside of margin. The way it works with PRINTING websites
5. If a PDF is uploaded is it possible to preview content before submitting order? like to click and see in light box.
6. Is it possible to make upload required for some product and optional for others?
7. Can I specify how many uploads per product? so that each product has a its own number of files. like others have 1 some 2 or more?

Can we have an option that allows for the website to email the file name , but not the preview? We have customers that send in lots of large files, and it’s causing us extra load on the servers when the customers view their email, since it pulls from the server.

it seems that a 3rd party plugin is including its javascript libraries in all the admin pages (including the upload configurator page) instead of just in its. This may cause an error preventing the browser to properly execute the Woocommerce Upload Files javascript libraries.
Please go to the Options menu and enable the Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries option. Once done, try again accessing the configurator page to see if you still getting the error.
If you still get the issue even doing so, you need then to find the interfering plugin. Disable all the 3rd party plugin then enable one by one until you find the one that raise the issue. Once done, you should report to its developer in order to fix it!

As you can read from the error message, it seems that a 3rd party plugin is generating a javascript error that may prevent the configurator page to not work.
If you are able to create, edit, and save fields, you can ignore that message.
Otherwise, try going in the Options menu and enable the Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries
If it doesn’t help, you need to identify the interfering plugin that is including its javscript files in all admin pages (including the configurator page) instead of including in its pages.
To do that: disable one by one until you find the interfering one. Once done, you have to report to its developer.
Ok Thank you. I have not Button “Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries” in my Option. Ok I have version 44.3. Is this the newest? Do you automatically update? How can I update this? Is there always the latest plugin to load in my account? Do I have to delete the old plugin beforehand and then reinstall it? Are my texts and settings still there?

OK thanks! The manual update worked thanks! I didn’t make it through the plugin. The token is wrong. I logged in with my dial-in details and registered an app. But I don’t understand the connection to my upload plugin. No idea!
