Hey Domenico, is it possible to add the number of uploaded files to the order confirmation mail?
I’m sorry, the plugin hasn’t such an option
You can however show the list of files associated to each product by enabling the special option you find in the Options menu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gckvr67oj49ka2x/wcuf_email_preview.jpg?dl=0 (read the Note to have that option properly working).
That works fine.
Hello, I cannot get the plugin to work – my shop is shop.violafrank.com I can’t even get it to show on a product page
without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine the cause of the issue.
- did you have properly activated the plugin?
- Have you enabled the option to show the field in the product page?
- Have you enabled any option to restrict field visibility (by the payment gateway, user role, etc.)? If so, please uncheck any of that options.
Let me know.
Hello – I have it part working but not correctly – it is only displaying at the bottom of the checkout page.
If I select the visibility to display on Checkout page with no others selected – it shows on the bottom of the check out page.
If I select the visibility to display on product page with no others selected – then it doesn’t display anywhere.
If I select to display on Checkout page with the extra option to display after added to the cart – then nothing displays on any page.
I have the “Product/Category restriction” set to ‘visible for every product”
the upload function has been tested and works, albeit in the check out page.
I need it to appear on the products.
It appears to only work and appear if I have the checkout page option checked in visibility options and then, only after the checkout information, but before the credit card entry.
Further to the above – it now appears to be working (i don’t have time just now to test) i changed the Payment gateway to allow all and now it appears to be working – i still need to test though – will get back to you
Ok, I’ll wait for your news
I am testing your plug in from the demo, where can I view and set the DROPBOX function?
Hi,
if you send me a private message (click on my name then use the low-right box) reporting your email, I can set-up a demo site where you can test that feature using your DropBox account!
Sweet, now I got it
Hey Domenico, awesome plugin, congratulations. I can see that there are several translations available. Unfortunately it’s only in english although the site is running in German. How can I change the language of the plugin?
Hi,
thank you for your appreciation
To translate the plugin, use the woocommerce-files-upload.pot file you find inside the language folder inside the plugin. Use an application like PoEdit (https://poedit.net/ ) and create a .po file for your language (for example, woocommerce-files-upload-de_DE.po). Translate the strings you need and then save, the application will create a file .mo
Save both files inside the language folder. WordPress will automatically use it to translate the strings
Awesome, thank’s a lot!
You’re welcome
At last but not least: If you enjoyed my efforts to assist you and/or my plugin please consider leaving the 5 stars, I would really appreciate!
(to leave a rating: go to your profile page, click on “Downloads” and from there you can rate to your purchases).
Have a great day!
I managed to build a .po and .mo file for my language. Works fine but not all strings are translated. The text in the upload area “Click to choose the files or drag them here” is in the .po file but it won’t change after translating. Where can I find this string to translate it?
That text is a dynamic text that can be translated/customized through the Text submenu you find under the Upload files configurato main menu!
Does this plugin support saving files on AWS S3?
I’m sorry, the plugin hasn’t such a feature
Hello,
is it possible to extend plugins functionality to add upload field to every item in cart (in pair item -> upload field) instead of grouping all uploads before/after cart form ?
Thank you !
Hello,
I’m sorry but the plugin hasn’t such a feature.
Hello people,
Even activating the option passed to us, it still does not happen what should happen.
A product was purchased 2 times, meaning we would have to have 2 different upload fields for the same product. 1 product upload field 1 for one person upload 1 product upload field 1 for someone else’s upload
Because I added product 1 twice.
But what happens is, in the amount of product, it appears “2x”, but does not duplicate the option of different uploads. Imagine the scenery of our store:
Customer enters the store and buys an album of stickers for Christmas, on the cart page he doubles the amount, because 1 album will be for the oldest son and the other will be for the youngest. They are two albums for two different people, ie different images.
Does the plugin have the ability to “duplicate” upload fields when the amount is greater than 1?
What is the way for us to solve this?
If in doubt, make a simulation in the official store:
https://www.pickbook.com.br,Make a purchase, add 2x to cart, finalize with payment slip and upload.
Thank you
Hi,
by default WooCommerce, when adding the same product on the cart, just updates its cart quantity. So if you add the “product 1” first time and re-add it a second time, WooCommerce will just update its cart quantity to 2x.
If you wish to add same product different times (and so each product will have its own upload fields), use the Products addable multiple times to cart menu enabling that option for all or just the products you need: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gi26ihdz5mijbcc/wcuf_products_addable.jpg?dl=0
In this way, for example, the “stickers for Christmas” can be added different times to cart, each instance will have its upload field. Each instance will have also its quantity: it means that the user will be able to set how many stickers he wants for that uploaded image.
The plugin, however, hasn’t any feature to duplicate items when updating the cart quantity through the cart page. The user has to manually add the new products through the page/shop page.
Hello! I am having whe “white screen of dead” in my backend (at least the customer can order and upload files). Everytime I deaktivate the plugin I can access any part of the admin panel. Do you have some idea advice? the WP_DEBUG true shows nothing.
Hello! I’m sorry, but without any further clue it is quite hard to determine the cause.
Could you eventually try enabling the WP_DEBUG_LOG and see if in the debug.log located in the wp-content/ folder are reported more info? Please also try giving a look to the server error log.
Make also sure you are running the latest WP, WC and PHP version. Thank you.
Thank you for your reply. I dont get much more info but it seems not to be the problem of the plugin, so dont worry. sorry!. I find a 500 in the server logs exactly where I see the white screen: :[09/Sep/2019:10:02:02 +0200] “GET /wp-admin/post.php?post=175&action=edit HTTP/1.1” 500 1364 www.o…....
I have some question regarding the css/template. Should I ask here or in a new question? thank you very much!
Yes you can ask directly here
So it is regarding to the style (probably css) that comes just with a fresh installed plugin. I am using Storefront as Theme from woocommerce but it seems that when checkingout etc everything moves down: https://imgur.com/a/NUCoTwD
My questions are: - Is this a normal behaviour and I should invest some time with CSS or templates defined inside the plugin? - For the rest of the template style, are there options on how to customize?
Just that, thanks!
Unfortunately, I have no clue
- you email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- link to a product page
- link to the checkout page
I can perform some further analysis to see if it possible to determine which CSS style defined by the plugin is causing that interference.
For what concerns the style options, all the available ones can be found in the <stong>Options menu.
Hello, I am unable to configure the plugin, I applied the product page using a shortcode, the codes are there but do not appear on the site, what can it be?
Hi,
if you use the [wcuf_product_page_upload_form] shortcode to display the upload field instead of the native option, you need to disable the standard management through the special option you find in the Options menu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d7a38nemuolnfce/wcuf_product_page_managment.jpg?dl=0
You find more details in the Shortcodes paragraph in the plugin description page.
yes, I already deactivated it and yet it does not appear
Unfortuantely, without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine the cause.
Did you enabled any option to restrisct the visibility according the user role, payment gateway, and so no? If so, disable them.
If not, If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- you email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- link to a page where I can experience the issue
I’ll try to analyze your installation to see if I can get more clues about the cause. Thank you.
ok, I sent
you received?
Yes, got it. Check your inbox. I think you are not properly using the shortcode for how it has been designed. Read the email for more details.
Hello, I’m trying to position the uploaded image preview over the single product page image gallery (to give the customer an preview of what their product will look like). Can you point me in the right direction to access that from the plugin, so I can hook it into woocommerce? Thanks Alex
I’m sorry Alex, but the plugin has not been designed to have such a feature so there isn’t an easy way to achieve that.
If you wish to analyze how inbuild preview shortcode for product page works, edit the WCUF_Shortcode.php component (stored in the classes\com folder) and look for the get_file_names_with_additional_info() method. That method is invoked in the checkout_cart_product_page_template.php template used to render the iamge previews in the product page when the [file_name_with_image_preview] (if present in the description text of the upload field) is processed.
If you need to analyze the get_media_preview_html() method (invoked by the get_file_names_with_additional_info() ) you find it in the WCUF_Media.php component (classes\com folder).
I hope this helps.
Hello people,
We have two more questions:
1. When I increase the quantity of a product in the cart on the checkout screen after order confirmation, it does not generate me “2 times” the upload fields, only one. What is the procedure that when we have quantity above 1, on the checkout page / my account (upload photos), duplicate the fields, according to the number requested by the customer? 2. In the image adjustment part after I upload, when I’m on mobile, it “overflows” the mobile space. How to proceed?
Att.
- The plugin hasn’t any feature to create an upload field for each cart quantity. You can only set the number of uploadable files to be equal to the cart quantity: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9x30621gsncmejg/wcuf_quantity_cart.jpg?dl=0
- As you can read in the plugin description page, under the Compability paragraph, the plugin has been designed to work only for desktop. Try eventually to different values for the crop area through the Options menu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fnpmbx9p3yxvh7g/wcuf_crop_are_size.jpg?dl=0 and make sure that the mobile template where you are displaying the controller has enough space to contain it
Hi,
It’s the third time I ask for a refund since the plugin isn’t working as expected. I will buy Use-your-Drive | Google Drive plugin for WordPress from codecanyon only if I get a refund only on this product.
Thank you,
Hi,
no refund request have been submitted by the anthohockey1 user. To perform a request, you have to use the special page you find in the CodeCanyon site.
Note that CodeCanyon refund policy won’t just for claiming an issue. If you provide more details about what do you mean with plugin isn’t working as expected I’ll be glad to assist.
Refund won’t be either granted just because you are willing to purchase any other plugin instead of any already purchased.
Hello – First off, thanks for the great plugin! Is it possible to have different crop sizes depending on the product attribute selected? For our product, we offer 3 photo frame sizes. We’d like to change the cropping size depending on which frame they choose. For example, if they choose the 11×14 frame, we want to crop the image to a size of 200px x 255px. For the 16×20 frame, we want to crop the photo to a size 260×364, etc. Is something like this possible? Thanks Alex
Hi,
I’m sorry, the plugin hasn’t such a feature
For that you have to create different upload fields and then bound them to the specific variation through the special option you find in the visibility tab: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g8q6u6a8lczj46v/wcuf_visibility_10.jpg?dl=0
No worries, that should be just fine. Thanks for the quick reply!
You’re welcome
Please, if you enjoy my plugin, consider leaving the 5 stars! It would support me and I would really really appreciate!
(to leave a rating: go to your profile page, click on “Downloads” and from there you can rate to your purchases).
have a great day!
Will do!
Thank you!
Hello, we´re using your plugin over 1 year and we love it but since we active our new seo tool Rank Math we get this message:
Some of your installed plugin are generating javascript errors that MAY prevent WCUF configurator to work properly. Fix or disable them.
Error type: ReferenceError: wp is not defined On script: https://kunstkacheln.de/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/vendor/cmb2/cmb2/js/cmb2.min.js?ver=2.6.0 Line: 1
To DISABLE this warning message, go to Option menu and disalbe the ‘Show warning message’ option
How can we fix that?
Hi,
as you can read from that message, it seems that plugin is including its javascript files in every admin page (including the upload configurator page) and not just in its pages. This should not happen.
More in specific, it seems that the cmb2.min.js?ver=2.6.0 javascript file is try accessing to an undefined object.
This, however, is an issue raised by that plugin, so you should contact their support team in order to fix it. I cannot provide support for 3rd party issues.
What I can suggest is to try updating the plugin to the WooCommerce Upload Files to the latest 51.6 version and under the Options menu under the Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries area select the Yes option to see if it helps: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1g922u20ytpcqdi/wcuf_options_js.jpg?dl=0
If I use my Android phone (Galaxy S7) with Google Chrome, the upload functionality doesn’t work, I get an orange border around the upload buttons when it is tapped, but nothing happens. If I use the standard Samsung Web Browser, it works fine, no issues at all. The customer complaints are from Safari and Chrome users.
To request support, you have to use an account with a valid purchase and support license associated with it.
As reported in the compability paragraph in the plugin description page, the plugin is designed to work for desktop browsers.
In case of mobile browser usage, however, make eventually sure you are using fully compliant HTML5 browser and the latest version of the OS (both Android or iOs). Safari is not among the supported browser.
If the latest version of Chrome and OS is used, the upload process properly works even for mobile browsers: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p4fyuy0v6oj4xm8/wcuf_mobile.jpg?dl=0
Note that Galaxy S7 doesn’t run the latest version of Android, the max supported version is the 8.0 by that device.
If any mobile browser is not capable to properly run the software due to the lack of support of HTML5 standards (due to an outdated version of the OS, of the browser or due to low hardware resources) there isn’t anything I can implement to fix those browsers malfunctionings.
Sorry I have 3 Envato/CodeCanyon accounts, I am logged in as one of the others currently. I have a legitmate paid for version of the plugin under my other account.
Hi, I have your plugin and it was working just fine, however now customers aren’t able to upload images from mobile. It works fine with desktop, but not mobile. I have updated the plugin to the latest version. You can see the front end here: https://savethedatebylily.co.uk/product/double-side-by-side-photo-charm/
The upload button gets an orange border when it’s tapped, but nothing is uploaded.
Hi,
as reported in the Compability paragraph in the plugin description page, the plugin requires a fully HTML5 compliant browser.
Make sure that the mobile devices are using Chrome (latest version) and you should no longer experience any issue.
I’m using Chrome on Android, and it isn’t working for me either https://savethedatebylily.co.uk/product/double-side-by-side-photo-charm/
I’ve just performed a test, and it is working with chrome for android as expected: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p4fyuy0v6oj4xm8/wcuf_mobile.jpg?dl=0
Make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome and Android and that you did not istalled any 3rd party software (like extensions) that may be interfering.
Latest version of Chrome, and no extensions. We’re getting many complaints every day, so it’s a problem for lots of people (Both Android and iOS)
As you can see from the screenshot I’ve shared, using the latest version of chrome and android the upload process works as expected. As reported in the compatibility paragraph, if the requirements are not met, it may not work and there isn’t anything I can do. The software as been designed to work for desktop and if the mobile browser is not fully HTML5 compliant, it may not work.
Are you sure that all the users that are complaining about the not working upload process are using are meeting the requirements? Could you share some data about that or a more detailed step by step guide on how to experience it? If so, please let me know. In this way, I’ll have some more clues on which investigate and I can eventually perform some further tests.
Otherwise, from my tests, the software if the requirements are met, actually works as expected.
I am trying to set file types for upload but every time I set them it doesn’t work when I go to upload on the front end for mobile or ipad. It displays “Warning allow files types .jpg, . pdf etc”
It only does this when I upload images from a mobile device. PC based files upload fine. Mobile also uploads fine if I do not set file type restrictions.
I would leave it set to all files but I want to make sure that people can’t upload HTML or PHP files. What are the default file types allowed?
Without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine the cause. The plugin uses HTML5 technologies to implement file type upload restriction. Make eventually sure that the Mobile browser you are using is a fully HTML5 compliant.
The plugin allows uploading any file for the exception of PHP files. If any PHP file is uploaded, it will be removed due to security reasons!
I’ve tried everything with this plugin and no matter what I do or choose.. I can’t get it to show up on an actual product page. I can only get it to show up on the cart pages.
It could be due to a 3rd party plugin interference. Could you check in the browser debug console (F12 for Chrome, CTRL+SHIFT+K for FireFox) if any further clue is reported?
Try disabling all your 3rd party plugins to see if works. If so, try to enable one by one until the one interfering and then report to its developer to fix.
If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- you email address
- full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a link to a page where I can experience the issue
I can perform some further analysis to see if it is possible to determine the cause. Thank you.
No errors in the debug console. I will get you the info to check. Thank you.
Ok thank you. I’ll wait for your news!
Works fine now! Not sure what changed. But its all good now.
Glad to hear that
Hi, i add upload plugin but it not shows the config files. What it the problem?, I deactivated, reinstall and nothing, only show clear and upload files configurator
Hi,
what do you menat that it not shows the Config files? to which config files are you referring?
Could you also provide a more detailed description of it only shows clear and upload files configurator? What exactly is clear?
