I purchased WP Real Media Library 2.17 and I thought I was supposed to receive updates forever. I want to update to PHP 7.2. Do I need to get a new license

I am having major problems ordering the items in my galleries. Changes that I make in the media library by don’t seem to be saved—the order reverts when the library page is reloaded.

Here’s what I am doing: click “apply order one (natural order by filename ascending) click reorder icon move images manually into the final order that I want

When I refresh the page, the order reverts to the order initially uploaded.

Please help!

could you please send me again the media library plugin, my computer crashes and I need to reinstall everything

I mean, when I want to add media, the default folder doesn’t work, it’s in all files.

Hi, love RML versus basic WP image managing. I’m using RML since a long time for some images/photos projects. I’m used to make most of my PLUGS UPDATES by FTP moving OldPlugFolder to a MasterBackUpFolder and then Upload NewPlugVersionFolder to standard /wp-content/plugins to update to last version (sorry for my bad english, hope you understand).

This way works fine for ALL plugs i use (free and paid, a lot of differents plugs) since 20+ years, updating on 50+ websites. I work this way to have an easy/manual backup process (copy-paste folder) when an update if a problem appears, with just 3 cliks i get back/solve on FTP, it save my work lot of times.

BUT with RML when i upload new RML version on FTP i get 40-50 uploads ERRORS in /wordpress-plugin-updater/plugin-update-checker-4.4/ folder, files don’t upload, and then website is broken or with big bugs.

Please some help, did i miss some update informations to work FTP way ? Thanks for answser and solution.

Ist es irgendwie möglich das ich hochgeladene Dateien verstecke, so dass diese nicht crawlbar sind. Ich möchte z.B. 3 Pdf White-paper Dateien hochladen und den jeweiligen Link in einen Newsletter packen. Der Link soll jedoch nicht crawlbar sein und somit nicht in Google auftauchen. Daher wäre es super, wenn dies mit dem Plugin eingestellt werden könnte. Ist das möglich, damit die PDF´s nur unter dem Link abrufbar und nicht indexierbar sind?

Hello, can this plugin add rules to upload so it’s automatic? I run a listing/directory site with file contributed by users of the site. So I’d like to keep page content, blog content and listing content separate but i’d like the listing content to be automatically added to separate folder. Can this do that?

An idea for multisites: you could allow users to display the gallery of the MAIN site (or the site you want), and to display the STRUCTURE of folders decided in this site…

If you also do this with your other plugin whichs updates files in “physical” folders it would be a great addition… Some multisites need to hace a “centraliced” media system independent from their own media space for each site, and with your plugin you could have a wonderful way to organize it and also to share it…

Just and idea! But as your plugin supports multisite, it would be great!

Our hosting provider is saying our migration process failures between environments are due to a recent addition of a definer to our database from version 4.5.1 of the realmedialibrary plugin. We can’t copy the site like we normally can between dev/staging/prod. We’ve updated to 4.5.2 but we’re still seeing the same issue. Here’s the note from WP Engine:

“To bypass this issue, we could comment out the definer lines that have been added to your database so that the copy site functionality works as intended. This can be risky due to know knowing what impact this will have on the realmedialibrary plugin’s functionality if this is commented out. Could you please reach out to the plugin developer to confirm that commenting this out will not have an adverse effect?”

I don’t think this is a viable long term fix though as I’m sure future updates will recreate the issue. Please let us know your thoughts.

Hi! I have a specific need and i need to check if the plugin can do this, and how: we have a custom post type, and frontend logged clients can create their profile. They can upload the featured image, and separately also make their own image gallery, both using their own uploaded images.

The question is: since many clients will create profiles, and we need to maintain some overview in the media-folder, is it possible to automatically create a subfolder or submap for each client upon uploading the first image, where just their own gallery and featured image will be placed? (and when they need to edit: that also here they will have access just to their own images)

Hallo Matthias, der WPBakery Visual Composer hat mir einen Javascript Fehler in der rml.js ausgegeben, so dass ich die Seiten nicht mehr speichern konnte. Nach dem Update auf 4.5.2 kommt zwar kein Fehler mehr, aber alle Ordner in der Medienübersicht sind weg. Wie kriege ich die Ordner wieder zurück? Danke

It’s the first time I’m writting to you since we bought this plugin, which means it work super well

I just wanted to know why it says at the root we have around 980 files while in our folder we have at max 100 or 150 files?

Even when clicking on All Files or Unorganized we don’t see 700 or 800 images there…

Also, in the folder Unorganized it says 749 photos while it shows only 3… I’m not following it here

Hi there, We’ve installed your plugin and it appears to be working to organize the content. The problem we’re having is that when we try to add the shortcode, it looks like it is being interpreted, because the shortcode is not showing up on the page. All that is showing up on the page is blank space, even though there are items in the folder linked to the shortcode.

We haven’t updated our plugin in a while (v3.4.8) when we installed the latest (v4.5.2) we get fatal errors. Is there a way through codecanyon we can get legacy versions and then update one at a time?

Hello, I got the addon installed some time ago, and now an update comes.. and when I install that it says the folder already excist.. my question is if I remove the old one and install the new one, my folder structure I have made is not gone ?

Matth, hi again, I have installed “Advanced Custom Fields: Real Media Library Field” plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/acf-real-media-library-field/ in order to drop the pictures straight into the folder when importing from my ACF Import but can’t see any option under the import setting. Your plugin doesn’t pop up any field there.

Is there any documentation how to use you “Advanced Custom Fields: Real Media Library Field” plugin ?
