Hello – The plugin created posts for each team member (domain.com/profile/team-member). Is there a way to get rid of this? They’re showing up in search results and just link to a blank page with the team member name.

Hi! If they are showing up on search results, there must be a link to these pages somewhere on the site. Maybe your sitemap is including these pages? If you’re using a SEO plugin like Yoast, check the sitemap settings to see if these pages are being included and disable them. In the settings page of the plugin you can disable the ‘single page’ option, but double check the sitemap settings. Greetings, Carlos

Hello Carlos – I am trying to adjust our faculty listing in Table mode. I’ve tried everything known to man, but have two things that I have yet to figure out.

  • The first is the width of each column separately. We have 4 and 5 column tables.
  • The second is the heading for social is Links – I’d like to change this to say Email – we only have email icons in this column.
  • Third is i wrote code for each column to control the padding because most appear to run into each other. But can’t on the first column at all…the only way for me to control it is to use .tshowcase td { width: 5%} which controls all the cells. There’s no ID for that column when inspecting everything (.tshowcase-single-position, .tshowcase-box-social, .tshowcase-single-telephone, etc.) but the Name column just shows td

Hello, I’m using your lightbox as the “Entry Link:” and when it opens it shows the image, title and content… why doens’t it show their name? How do I get their name (which is the member title” to show as well.

Hi! The lightbox content should reflect the contents from the single page. So in the settings page of the plugin you can select which fields you want to display, including if you want the Name/Title to display. This is disabled by default ( because when using the single page the title is already there ). Could this have been the case? Check if enabling the ‘name/title’ in the settings page, in the options for the single page would make it display. This is obviously something that I can improve on the plugin, so thank you for the feedback also! Greetings, Carlos

Hello, I have “Name/Title” selected under the “What information do you want to display:” section in the settings. Is there another place to select it? With that option marked with a checkmark it was not showing the name in the lightbox popup, just the title of the individual. This is using the “default” theme (in case that matters).

Thank you for the feedback. It’s strange, I can’t replicate the issue. The name should be the first thing to display, next to the image, in the information card layout, if it’s enabled in the settings. I would be interested to understand what’s happening. What version of the plugin are you using? I need a search field by name, another function list field and a city list, but to put the filters, I do not find where to put the search field by name, as in its example.

Carlos, esse shortcode funcionou depois que eu reconfigurei a pagina de links permanentes. Obrigado! Agora percebi uma coisa, o plugin está cropando/recortando imagens. As imagens que estavam no servidor antes do plugin estão ok, mas agora, todas que subo para os membros, estão menores na grade de visualização do plugin, tem como impedir o plugin de recortar as imagens, e apenas mante-las no tamanho e proporção que já estavam?

Isso é importante porque na visualização de PC está ok, mas quando vejo na versão para celular, as imagens perdem resolução no celular (estou usando o layout de 2 colunas, mas quando vemos para o celular, fiz mostrar só uma coluna), assim eu aumento um pouco as imagens, coloco as informadões para baixo e fica apenas com uma coluna no celular. Mas as novas imagens que estou subindo o plugin está cropando automaticamente, tem como impedir isso?

Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. Yes, this is possible. One way to implement this, is to have 2 pages. One with only the search form and the other with the search form and the team layout. Then have the search form of the first page, point to the second page for the results, using the documented ‘url’ parameter. Hope it helps. I’ll also answer your other questions in portuguese. The Team Members, that always were includet in the content area of specific projects don’t show up anymore. The Team Page has no problems. Developer Tools don’t show any Errors. This ist what Querymonitor says:

Hi! The SQL error doesn’t seem to be related with the plugin. Did you recently update the plugin? Try the following:

- Delete the plugin;

- Download the plugin again from codecanyon (version 2.1)

- Install the plugin going to Plugins > Add New > Upload.

You should recover all entries, since deleting the plugin won’t delete the data.

PRESALE Question: In the Table Version. Is there any way to put images instead of text? I mean in the position column, i need to put some icons or images instead ” Sales Agent” text?

Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. This could only be done with custom css and javascript. Maybe use a taxonomy to identify that column and with css/javascript have an icon (from fonticon for example) display instead of the text. So the plugin does not include this feature, but I can give you some pointers on how to achieve it if needed. Greetings, Carlos

Hi: Pre-Sale questions:

1) I would like to know if is possible add this 2 extra fields for members:

- Dropdown List (veterinarian, medical, phicical). You choose one of them

- Dropdown List ( +25, +50 , + 75). You choose one of them

2) When you return all members using live filters ¿is possible to filter using this two fields? For example : Filter 1) Veterinarian (select from dropdown list) AND Filter 2) +25 (select from dropdown list)

Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. You can use taxonomies for this (like categories). By default the plugin already has one taxonomy enabled, but you can enable up to 4 taxonomies. So you would need 2, one for the specialty and another for the age.

When building the team layout, you can enable a filter that can display both taxonomies as dropdowns.

Hi Currently it’s only possible to change the order of the fields using some custom code, but I can help with that.

By ‘search filter live’ you mean just the dropdowns? Or also a search text input? If yes, the plugin is not able to do it, but recently I developed some custom code to another user to have the search text input also behave as a live search: https://gist.github.com/carmoreira/7d2f362b952909be5b52c33ec7f543e5

I would like to add a group that I myself can link to a special page but that the other groups you can click as usual. Will you come with an update soon ??

Hi! If I understood correctly you want to display a shortcode where the users would link to a custom page and the other shortcodes would link to the default single page, is this correct? When you build your shortcode, you can chose the ‘entry link’ to be different for each shortcode. If you chose the ‘Active (default)’ it would link to the single page, if you choose ‘Active (Personal URL field)’ it will link to the page that the entries have on the ‘Personal URL’ of each. Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. Usually it would be the administrator/editor who would add the entries. However, an author or contributor would be able to add an entry with their own data. The plugin was not build to have it work that way, so it’s not entirely integrated, but it’s possible. When starting the members page, the numbered paginationbar (pagination=”true”) will be shown at the bottom. After using a filter, the pagebar at the bottom is no longer displayed even though the set limit of 10 members is exceeded. Loadmore button (pagination=’loadmore’) works fine.

Where can I translate the search term “Results for” ? Changing po file with Loco translate has no effect.

Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. The ‘Results for’ is wrapped in translation wrapper, so it should reflect the po file contents. Maybe is some kind of cache from Loco translate? What language are you going to translate to? Will you use multiple languages on your site or just one? You could also make the change directly in the code, in the advanced-options.php file. Is there any checkpoints inside your plugin to enable or disable the “noindex”, “nofollow” and “noarchive” Robots Meta Settings for each individuals of the team? I would like Google not to show certain people linked to my website in the search results.

Well, my theme is currently using “the SEO Framework” by Sybre Waaijer that is working really fine. The option to enable/disable the Robots Meta Settings are available for every pages, posts, comments, etc but not into your plugin. It’s very strange, certainly. Do you have any suggestion?

Hi! From what I see in the ‘SEO Framework’ docs, if the single page is enabled in the Team plugin settings, then the SEO plugin should be able to add their box into the single entries of the team post type. Check if there’s any option in the SEO plugin to enable or disable it on certain post types and if the SEO options are enabled when you edit a team member, in the ‘Screen Options’ (top right of edit screen). Hi, I am using WPML to translate the content and it works well. But I am having trouble translating the word ‘All’ , as in All taxonomies on the filter. WPML has a string translation which can find gettext strings in plugins and themes. Do you know how to translate that?

Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. Currently the ‘All’ label is only possible to translate in the settings page of the plugin. But not in multiple languages. The current version is not wrapped in the ‘string translation’ functions from WPML to translate settings, but I can do that for the next update. Currently have Version 1.3.8 and tried to do the automated update in Wordpress to version 1.4 and it wipes out all the data. I restored back to a previous backup until I can figure out why it is clearing the database of all the team members. Any help would be appreciated. Love the plugin, BTW! – Just saw the above message explaining this other update that has nothing to do with your plugin.

Hi, is there a way to reorder the Groups that show in the filter? Thank you!

I bought this app a while ago, but upon upgrading it the plugin now asks for me to upgrade to a “Pro” version from a Themepoints at https://themepoints.com/teamshowcase/ to be able to show multiple groups in the grid layout. Did you pass on ownership of this plugin to someone else? Do I really have to buy the plugin AGAIN from themepoint to enjoy the same functionality I had previously?

Hi! That is not my plugin. What probably happened is that an update notice from that plugin appeared on mine unfortunately. You can delete that plugin and install mine again. It will recover all the previous entries. This should solve the issue. No need to buy anything else. If the problem persists let me know. Greetings, Carlos

Why is your plugin upgrading to a different plugin?

It’s a namespace issue and unfortunately I couldn’t predict that. That other plugin uses the same exact ‘slug’ as mine – altough mine was created first – and is available in the wordpress free repository, where wordpress automatically checks for updates and therefore the confusion. It shouldn’t happen anymore in recent versions of the plugin. Sorry for this issue.
