This shortcode is populated with the content of the product directly imported from GearBest. So, if GearBest’s official website is not accessible from your server’s IP address, than this shortcode will not be populated.
You can try setting a proxy to be used when accessing GearBest products, from the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Web Proxy Address’ settings field.
Or, you can also contact your hosting provider’s support to change the IP address of your server.

Hi, the plugin is not working anymore. I am using the option of Promotional Products To Posts along with the Category ID from Gearbest but when I run the rule, I get a yellow square in the statut and no post is added or generated. Also there’s nothing in activies and logs that tells me the error. Please help.
The only error I found in logs is this: [4-Apr-2019 16:33:08 UTC] No posts inserted because no posts found.

I checked again, and yes, you are right. It seems that direct calls to GearBest from your server are blocked. Because of this, please keep the ‘Try to Get Full Product Description’ checkbox from importing rule settings disabled – because this make an additional request to GearBest for each imported product, which does not work in your case.
I disabled this for all rules you created, now importing works, please check.

Well, i think if you change the ip address of your server, it will work. GearBest seems to not allow direct access from your current ip address.

Unfortunately, GearBest does not provide images for all vouchers right now, only for some. Their database includes images only for a part of available vouchers, for the rest no image is provided by them.

As promised, I checked and updated the plugin to v1.2.5, please update it from WordPress’s ‘Plugins’ menu.
You will find a new settings field in plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Add “&channel=APP” Parameter to Affiliate Links’ checkbox. Please check this checkbox and import new posts using the plugin.

The %%item_full_content%% shortcode is populated using direct scraping of products. Because of this, your server’s IP address might be banned at GearBest’s side, because you accessed their site too often.
To work around this, please try using proxy servers, in the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Web Proxy Address’ settings field.

Yes, the plugin can do this. You must define the category ID from where you wish to import products, in importing rule settings (‘Promotional Products to Posts’ menu in the plugin -> click settings for the rule you want to edit) -> ‘Search Category ID’.
For smartphones, the possible categories are these:
Mobile Phones – 11992 Apple Accessories – 11231 Cell phones – 11293 Cell Phone Accessories – 11993 Smart Watch Phone – 12004 Featured Phones – 12127

Right now, the plugin cannot import product reviews for imported products.
Regarding keyword search, yes, it is able to search for products by keyword. To do so, for example, in the ‘Promotional Products to Posts’ menu, please click ‘Settings’ for the rule you wish to edit -> input the keyword in the ‘Search Keywords’ settings field -> save settings.
