1. Can I please get my license URL reset (just renewed support) ?
2. I changed the default aspect ratio of images in JIG settings to 1/1 (square thumbnails) as that is my preference when using WP [gallery] shortcode.
But on 1-2 pages I want to override it, is it possible to “reset the aspect ratio” when using the [justified_image_grid] shortcode? (default I noticed in JIG, if you don’t set an aspect ratio then it will automatically use best ratio) Because I have a mixture of both portrait and landscape.
Maybe there is a better approach?

2. Try entering 0 as its value in the Shortcode Editor where you’d like it to respect the original. It’s not tested that way but it could work.

It’s a known new issue, due to some changes in how the Facebook bot behaves. You can expect an update that will address it. For now, there is nothing you can do, the crawling has fundamentally changed, and lightbox images will soon have a new URL structure. sorry… now the update shows in the updates page, but when I try to install it it gives me “An error occurred while updating Justified Image Grid: Update package not available.”
Please try again, that message appears when you try quickly after a license reset and WP hasn’t contacted the server in time.

galleries don’t work anymore.
Plugin version is now 3.8 as I tried an upgrade from 3.7 hoping that it would fix the bug.
REPRODUCING THE BUG
1. Go to https://luganoeventi.ch/blues-to-bop/ 2. scroll to bottom of page to see a Gallery section where no content is loaded 3. Via inspector under console, I see error “thisIsTouch is not defined”
We are loading images from FB albums and FlickR. All have the same error. The gallery at the given URL is fetching from FlickR.
We are using the plugin in other websites (version 3.7) and there the plugin works flawlessly.
In case I haven’t provided sufficient details, please let me know

Thank you for the bug report, it is not technically incorrect, but improvements could be made to that “thisIsTouch”. The error could happen because the caching plugin probably combines the JIG script with other scripts that use “strict standards” that require every variable to be declared. Contact us from the profile for a fixed version.

I can add link in jig in media library, but doesnt work when clicking image. If there is a way for it to do custom image urls in post grid shortcode.. please let me know. By default when building a JIG with recent posts, to preserve automatic links to the post, custom links are discarded. If you want to keep them and not use the automatic link to the featured image’s parent post, then use this: Shortcode Editor > Recent Posts > https://i.snag.gy/1kFG87.jpg set it to Yes.

As I asked before… i am using post grid shortcode.. Not JIG…. I change the custom links using the plug in…. but the picture links are not changed. I am not using an image gallery.. im using post grid cherry shortcode. This is why i asked for a refund please?
If you are not using JIG, what do you expect to happen? Use JIG with JIG features and custom links will work. The subfeatures are not supposed to work with other plugins. Custom link feature is not a universal addition to the Media Library, it’s only for JIG.

Hi, we have an issue with portrait images on retina displays. I have turned retina support off since we want the grid layout to look exactly the same for retina/non-retina screens (at least on desktop). However, while two portrait images side by side will fill the full width of the content div on a regular display, on a retina display (e.g. Macbook Pro 13) they collapse to the left with white space on the right. Turning retina on or off does not affect how the layout looks like. Only the pixel density is larger when Retina support is on.
What you are experiencing happens because the thumbnails have a limit to appear no taller than the browser. If you see them aligned to the left, shown smaller than expected, this mechanism is in effect. It prevents the thumbnail from being so large you cannot see it in its entirety (having to scroll up and down and even then never be able to see the complete picture).
The results would be better if you’d use fewer JIG instances because it could pick an image from the next row to fill the current row.
Your single non-JIG images also have this problem, portrait images on landscape monitors shouldn’t be shown at full size since you can only see part of the picture at any given time. Where you have three portrait images next to each other, they are all right. Also, the first image before the text is landscape and it works okay.

1) Is it not the case that if the original images are particularly small then the number of images per line can be affected by retina mode (e.g. 5 on a line instead of 3) – this is the behavior we have seen previously and turning off retina solved the problem. My client is uploading higher res images now in any case.
2) I agree with the portrait display issue. However, I just need to check that the thumbnail window height limit is required behavior for all galleries and can’t be changed? I assume it is set with the conditional statements using the var screenHeightLimitRatio in the main JIG js and cannot be removed in the dashboard settings. In that case I guess the safest way would be to set some degree of crop if the client only has tall portrait images?
1. They shouldn’t unless they are so small that JIG would need to upscale them since JIG doesn’t upscale. If the source image is smaller than the row height then this can happen.
2. It’s not an option as it’s considered bad UX to show the image taller than the viewport. The safeguard JS could be changed but I recommend going around the problem. If you combine individual JIGs into lesser instances then the automatic layout would have more freedom to place more portrait images next to each other and still fill the row – when necessary. It’s better than cropping.
Another option is to have the orhpan-looking row centered (incomplete last row – center) so at least it looks good, There are wedding photography layouts that look similar and they are centered when couldn’t be justified.

My question: I use Lightbox: PhotoSwipe 4 by Dmitry Semenov (new). I would like to have the counter (1/12) under the images as first part of the description. Is it possible to turn off the preset counter and to integrate the counter in the capture as a Lightbox custom field under the menu point „What text to show inside the lightbox“?
