Hi,

I think there’s something missing in admin -> reservations

When you go to reservations, the “Block Accommodation” section is not always shown.

Once you block a room for a period, the “Block Accommodation” section is shown, without leaving the reservations page. Once you leave the reservations page and go back again the ‘block accommodation’ disappears, until you make a new accommodation block.

But there are time where when you first enter the reservations, the block accommodation section is shown.

Have you noticed?

Also, do you know a way in Wordpress to move HBook Menu entry, somewhere near at top? After installing it, it appears at the bottom, just above the “Collapse menu” – it’s not very handy

Thank you

Thank you for your reply

I moved Hbook on top, just under reservations. Where can I find the Accommodation entry? I cannot find an add_menu_page for it, I would like to place Reservations, Hbook and Accommodation under each other.

I cannot also reproduce now the Block Accommodation list.

Regards

Hello,

Accommodation is a custom post type. So you would need to add the “menu_position” parameter to the register_post_type function that you can find in hbook/accom-post-type/accom-post-type.php.

Please check : https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_post_type

Thank you

Hi, Is it possible to define special rule for min. stay for certain period within season or current season needs to be split before and after those days? For instance if whole Low season has 1 day min. stay but there is festival during Low season and I want to limit festival days for 3 days. min stay? Actually, it is overlapping and some engines does not allow it, so I am curios how it is with HBook. Is there way to set priority of seasons, rules or so? Thanks, A.

Hi again,

I am trying to reproduce the issue you mention in your comment, with the check-out date jumping to the next month after selecting the check-in date. I tried on Chrome, I.E, Firefox… on both Linux and Windows systems. On mobile phone as well and I never could reproduce what you mention! There has to be an issue as I have another client who mentioned this yesterday too!

May I ask you on which device you try, with which browser? Thanks a lot for your help with this!

Regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Hi, It seems it was due to my phone, its ok now. Do you know date when LAVILLA WP will be released and which theme suits better to vacation rentals portal, Adomus or Lavilla? Thanks, A.

Hi,

Thank you for this update!

I am currently in the review process with Envato regarding Lavilla WP. I can’t give you an exact ETA date as I am not the only one involved in this process!

I develop themes that are specifically designed for vacation rentals (hotels, BnB, camping, condo, apartments, holiday homes…). Both Lavilla and Adomus include my booking system (HBook). So it is more a question of which design you prefer rather than functionalities. ;-)

Best regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Hi, just to let you know; after the latest update. The reservation calendar isn’t working in Safari browser anymore. It does work in other browsers like chrome and firefox though. Kind regards

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. I have not changed anything that could cause this issue but I would be happy to check that for you. ;-)

Would you please contact me through my support system if you have not done so yet?

Best regards,

Aurelien

Hi,

Just purchased your plugin.

An urgent question. The plugin will be installed in an existing site for exampe aaa.com. After sometime, in a week or two, the domain name will be changed to bbb.com. Is it going to be a problem by means of the plugin licence? Is a mechanism to change the domain – licence relation?

By the way, do you know a good plugin to modify the url info in wordpress. It will save me time to go table by table and run a sql query search for domain and replace.

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your purchase of HBook!

1. I can’t think of a plugin that I have tested and that I could recommend to modify WordPress URL infos.

2. You can use your current accommodation pages to display the accommodation. You will set the accommodation types in HBook only eith the required settings: occupancy information, number of accommodation of this type, description for the search results. Then, you indicate in the column “Accommodation display” the id of the theme page to use. When you’ve done that, you can then simply write the shortcode for availability calendars, rate table, search form directly in your theme pages, as you wish to do!

3. Sorry but I don’t really understand your question about a calendar plan? ;-)

Best regards, Aurélien, HotelWP

Hi

Thank you for your reply

Please ignore (3), I found that out

Great! If you have other support question, would you please contact us using our support request form on our website? Thanks a lot!

I am checking with Stripe test account to see if credit card information is saved to the stripe through the this plugin. However when clicked booking it only appears “processing” for few seconds and nothing happens. It does not even send the booking request. And no information is collected either by Stripe. I have previously shared with you my wordpress login details too.

Hi again!

Yes, credit card details will be stored in Stripe servers if you use the option “Store credit card details” dans HBook > Payment. If you have not done so yet, please send us a support request with this new issue you’re facing. You can simply reply to our last reply regarding eZee. ;-)

Dear Aurélien,

I have email to your support. Waiting for a quick reply.

Thank You Mohamed Faisal

Merci ;-)

Cordialement,

Aurelien, HotelWP

hi i have you plugin and we need to have a both sync for reserves and avalability to my allocator can you help me with this ? this is so important to us many thanks!

Hello,

If Allocator supports iCal sync, you can use that to sync both ways with HBook. Please refer to “ICal” section of the documentation: https://hotelwp.com/documentation/hbook/

If you need further help with that, would you please send us a support request through our support system?

Best regards,

Hi there, I have just purchased this plugin. Very well documented and stable. Well done. Three questions please…

1. Our client would like to display three categories of availability. Available, Reserved (for those who have submitted a request to book but that hasn’t yet confirmed) and Booked. Obviously, ‘Ocupied’ is already achievable out the box. Are the other two feasible i.e. green for Available and a custom colour/block on the front end calendar for dates that have been requested?

2. If the above (1) isn’t possible, do you offer paid for customisations? Or, if you’re unavailable for custom work could you point us in the right direction for the hooks etc that we might need

3. Can we redirect users after they have submitted so that we can send them to a custom thank you page?

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

1. With HBook, you have two categories of Availability: occupied and available. You can change the color of the available and occupied days in HBook > Appearance and it will automatically update the legend (it will add one for Available if it was transparent before).

2. It is not possible to have a status “Reserved” and it would require customization. I am sorry but I am not available for that, being already very busy with my own developments! I would not have a developer available to recommend you. If you have solid coding knowledge, you can modify the plugin directly. There is no such hooks or filters for that as it is not how HBook works. Let me explain: your client probably has only one accommodation of each type, so it can be with “reserved” status. This is not the case when you have set that you have several accommodation of a specific type (for example a hotel will have 10 double rooms). So the status of “Available” is displayed when there is at lest 1 double room left and “Occupied” when none are left. Hoping it makes sense!

3. The client stays on the same page during the entire booking process. Only when using PayPal, he is directed to PayPal to pay and then comes back to the page where he did the booking. What you can do is to customize the 2 sections that are before and after the summary. This can be easily done in HBook > Text. You can add html.

There is as well a js function that is called whenever a new reservation is received on your site: https://hotelwp.com/documentation/hbook/#hbook_reservation_done

If you need further help, please do not hesitate to come back to me.

Best regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Thanks Aurelien, much appreciated.

1. Great, thanks. 2. Okay, understood. Actually they have only 1 accommodation overall. 3. Thanks. So you’re clients are using this with Google Analytics etc?

Best

Hello,

Yes, HBook clients use the js function with Google Analytics. Exactly!

Kind regards,

Aurélien, HotelWP

Presale questions hello,

I design the website of a hotel in France and I need a booking system with the following customizations: (sorry for my bad english)

1) Room reservation from only the next day. if a customer comes to my site on January 24th he can only book a room from January 25th

2) Reservations are limited to a maximum of 7 consecutive days. It is possible to book one night up to 7 nights but no more.

3) The type of room offered during the search corresponds to the number of guests. If the client is looking for a room for 3 people only triple will be offered, or smaller rooms for 4 and 5 people, only the room of 3 people.

4) To add a tourist tax which is added automatically in the basket, and which is calculated per night and per person.

5) have additional options that are proposed automatically but not mandatory as breakfast, dinners … to configure the choice in quantity, per night, by number of people ..

6) confirm the booking by email to the customer automatically

7) be able to add a payment gateway from my “CIC” bank to woocommerce

8) send us an email to inform us of a new reservation on the site with all the information related to the booking (customer information, arrival and departure dates, number of adults and children)

9) the client must indicate the number of persons = the number of adults and children

10) ability to change the availability of each room type individually at any time.

Can you tell me if all of there points are availables on your plugin ? Thank you in advance.

Bonjour,

Nous avons répondu à votre email ;-) Continuons avec les emails. Merci!

Hello, I have one question. I have two types Single(5 rooms) and Double(6 rooms). Will it possible to set different price for each room not for type? Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in HBook plugin.

Yes, you will be able to set different prices for each room. In that case, you will set each room as a room type to be able to set prices individually. So you will have 11 room types in HBook. ;-)

If you have other pre-sales questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

I have purchased your plugin and I have received the link for ical for each room type. Example for Deluxe, Super Deluxe, etc… However in the setting panel of Hbook it has given ical sync for each room separately. So please let me know how this can be implemented. hope to hear from you soon.

Replied to your other comment. :-) If you have other support requests, would you please send us message either through our website hotelwp.com/contact or via our profile page on Envato?

I prefer to keep the comments here for pre-sales or general questions.

Thanks!

Aurélien, HotelWP

I’m ready to purchase this. However I’m using Ezee Front desk and ezee channel manager. I would like to know if you can do the integration. I have checked with the Ezee team and they do sync Ical based OTA’s with eZee Channel Manager. So please let me know how we can work on this. Thank you.

I have sent information via the form.

I have sent information via the form.

Hello,

We have received your message and we have replied to it. Let’s continue via the support system. :-)

Hi, I’m interested in purchasing this plugin but just have a few questions I haven’t been able to find details on: 1. I see that you have a ‘pay later’ option where guests can leave their card information and I can charge them at a specified time. Is it possible to set this up automatically? For instance, if I want the card to be charged 2 weeks before check-in which will become the non-refundable period, do I have to remember to go in and do this manually each time? 2. Do you have an option to send automated emails to guests for booking confirmations, check-in information etc., with styling set by me (like colours, logo, etc.) 3. Is it possible to set an amount per extra guest after a specified number of guests? 4. Do you have Indian Rupees as a currency option?

Thank you!

Just a quick additional note to my point no. 2 on automated emails – is it also possible to set these emails to go out a particular time? for e.g., booking confirmation-immediately, check-in information – 2 days before arrival (this is also tricky if the guest books 1 day before arrival – do they still get the mail? Thanks!

THello,

Thank you for your interest in HBook.

1. This “Leave credit card details and pay later” option is not done automatically yet. It means that you will need to charge manually from admin of HBook. Feature on the wishlist for future dev but I can’t guarantee that it will be added soon. Please note that it is only availiability with Stripe.
2. Yes, this is possible. You can set as many email templates as you want. Emails can be Sent automatically on new reservation, confirmation of reservation or cancelltion of reservation. You can as well send emails manually to a customer directly from the reservation dashboard. With the current version, it is not possible to set automatically emails to be sent x days before or after check-in/check-out.
3. Yes you can set price per additional guest beyond x persons.
4. Yes, Indian rupee currency is included.

Kind regards,

Aurélien, HotelWP

Hello! Presale question or two if that is OK. We are looking to pair this up with the BeTheme and CardConnect platform for payments. Would a license allow for the adaptation to an additional payment processor? Also, do you offer services as such to integrate with something like this? https://developer.cardconnect.com

We are looking at a WooCommerce plugin to handle it currently, since we can then use the cardconnect woocommerce plugin, however your method seems much more professional and close resembling the VRBO look and feel with a calendar and other features.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to your reply.

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in HBook.

Yes, with the licence, you are allowed to customise the plugin to your needs and for example to add a payement gateway.

We do accept custom jobs from time to time when it fit our schedule and dev plan. Note that we are fully busy for the next 3 months. If this is not a problem for you, feel free to contact us in private. ;-)

Hi

I have 3 presales questions.

1) Does the iCal synchronises automatically? I mean, when there is a booking in a channel, for example airbnb, your plugin to update its availability, plus to send the new availabilities to other channels (for example jomeaway, etc)?

3) Does your plugin have multiple import connections. Can it accept the ical updates from airbnb, homeaway, etc?

3) I read in your documentation that a shortcode like [hb_availability accom_id=”5”] will display a calendar in the property’s page. Does it also displays the rate on each day of the calendar?

Thank you

The cron_job is ran by HBook every hour using wp_scheduled_event function. You won’t have to set it up, just to add the iCal url of your external calendars in HBook > iCal. It means that any new reservation received in the external calendar will be automatically imported in HBook and availability updated automatically.

Then, in your external calendars import/export settings, you will add the iCal feed url of each HBook accommodation you need to sync. It means that when you receive a new reservation in HBook, the external calendar (booking.com, AirBnb, TripAdvisor, VRBO…) will automatically block these dates.

Hoping it clarifies how the iCal sync work both ways!

Regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Thank you for your respone.

I just didn’t know if it was automatically done or cron based.

Just getting back to my previous question, would it be complicated as a custom work, calendar to include availability and rates? In your previous reply you told me “No, it can’t be combines. Availiability calendar doesn’t include rates.”

Regards

Hello,

It would indeed need custom work. If you have coding knowledge, this is absolutely feasible and you would re-use existing function to retrieve nightly price. Please note that support does not include plugin customization and that I am not available for that. ;-)

Hey Aurelien, great to see some new functionality added in the new version – however i found a little bug for me. If i send an pre-configured html reservation email to a customer from the reservations admin page, all the styling brakes. I have also tried to just send a blank email and copy my html into it – still the same. Could you advise?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

Thank you for that feedback. I would be curious to see that. ;-)

Could you please provide us with access to your WordPress admin using our credentials submission form?

Thank you!

Hey Aurelien – just done. I am curious what you can find out. Please dont delete any bookings since the system is live. Thx, Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Received! I will continue back to you later when I can check what is happening.

Hello, amazing update. Thank you!

I miss translation for text for a coupon. - If you have a coupon code enter it in the field below and click on apply. - and apply button.

Or I am blind? :D

Thank you Petr

Hello Petr,

Good spot! I have omitted one line for the strings to be seen in HBook > Text . I will add the fix in version 1.8.1 but here it is: https://www.pastiebin.com/5a666b13a1204

Thank you very much for reporting this omission!

Hi guys, do you know if this plugin is compatible with the Salient theme or Enfold theme? Many thanks

Hi,

Yes, it is compatible with Salient and Enfold theme, no issues. ;-)

If you have other questions, please come back to me!

Hi I have some pre-purchase questions.

1 – Is it possible to have people book multiple days at once which are not in the same period? So for example, one person can book all four Thursdays of the month March in one payment.

2 – Does the admin have the option to approve and deny bookings?

3 – Is it possible to create multiple bookings for one day? So for example, a room can be booked from 1PM to 3PM, and then from 3PM to 5PM by another person.

4 – Is it possible to have a calender which shows only 8 weeks ahead from the current date?

5 – Do people get an overview of their booking?

Kind regards

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in HBook plugin.

1. It is not possible to book multiple stays in a same reservation.
2. Yes, you can set HBook as a booking request system where bookings need to be approved or denied.
3. No, HBook works per night basis so the minimum stay is 1 night.
4. Yes, you can set the number of months ahead (so 2 months for example in your situation) that can be booked.
5. Yes, they get an overview of the booking.

If you have other pre-sales questions, please do not hesitate to ask! ;-)

Best regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP
(Looking for a theme that includes HBook? Check our theme Adomus)

I’d love to buy this plugin but there is a major issue. The iCal sync is one every hour. I’ve got my property on several channels via a 3rd party and I need to update my site every minute to make sure I don’t double book and also to push new direct bookings straight out to make them unavailable on the rest of the channels.

Is there a way to set the sync to every 60 seconds?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in HBook plugin,

HBook runs the synchronization hourly but I have added a filter to be able to easily run the synchronization more frequently. So you can have HBook checking every minute if there are new booking in your 3rd party channel.

However, it does not work by “pushing” new direct bookings straight out to the other channels. With iCal, it is indeed each channel who check the iCal feeds at its own frequency. ;-)

To resume, you can set HBook so it will import any new external booking every minute but you can not force the external calendars to check every minute if there are new booking received directly on your site, unless your 3rd party has such setting.

Hoping it makes sense!
