a question. I have set in the season from June 1 to October 30 the minimum period of stay is three days. However, I would like, in some cases, to manually reserve a 2-night stay. How can I do?

You can add a reservation manually in Reservations > Add reservation and it does not have to follow the booking rules. So even if on front-end, customers can’t book for less than 3 days, you can manually add a 2-night stay from the admin.

1. Unless you take these days off the season they belong to and create a new season with no min stay for these dates, the front-end user can’t book for 2 nights if there is a 3 nights minimum stay.
2. You can add prices per child in HBook > Rates and you can change the label “Children”, as any text displayed by HBook in HBook > Text. So you can specifiy the age rank in the label for example.

Hye.. how can i set a day package means person who book is just staying for day time and not sleep at the accommodation. got some weird request from my client.
HBook works with a minimum of 1 night between check-in and check-out dates. Please refer to this article of our knowledgebase.
If your client wish to offer different time slots booked per day (for ex a conference room to be booked in the morning by a client and in the afternoon by a different client), you would need to enter the bookings manually from the admin, have several different accomodation types created for that purpose (for ex: conference room morning, conference room afternoon) and probably need to use the comments to add more explanations for each booking.
I have seen your workaround for splitting seasons by creating shorter seasons first and bigger seasons last. I did have a few questions though:
Would it be possible to set up a number of “Extra Seasons” first and then the normal seasons, so that the Extra Seasons are inactive at first (by unchecking all weekdays), but may then be activated for a certain timeframe by setting a proper time and checking the weekdays again and then adding certain rules for the Extra season that was activated? Then one wouldn’t have to redo all seasons everytime someone wants to add a special rule for a limited time.
And if one would choose this approach, would it be possible to default to the longer season? If I have a summer season that lasts for a few months, but have an extra season that was added first, but updated later to last say, 2 weeks with a minimum days requirement, do I have to add all the rates again for the Extra Season or is there a way for it to default to the season that was added afterwards if there are no rates specified in the extra season?
Yes, you can set Extra seasons first for which you don’t add dates for example. However, it is not possible with the current version of HBook to default to another season when no rates can be found for a specific season. If you add a season, you need to add rates for that season. For each day of a search, HBook basically first find to which season it belong to and then find the rate corresponding to that season. I have simplified the process in my explanation (as it takes as well into account booking rules and advanced booking rules for example…) to better illustrate how it currently works.
We wish to modify how seasons and rates work in a near future to be able to bring even more flexibility! Thank you for your patience on that regards.

I tried this system and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work. I created a number of extra seasons at the start without dates, and then the normal seasons. I added rates for the normal seasons and everything worked like it did before. When I edited the Extra1 Season that was the very first that was added and made it last all year round and then made a rate for said season for all accomodations, it failed to override the normal seasons that were actually added later. (Even though it is at the very top in the seasons panel)
Nevermind, I figured it out. For everyone else with this problem: You do need to add dates, it won’t count if you add them after adding the normal seasons. So just add a random timeframe and deselect all weekdays and it should work fine
Great if you could figure out how to use this workaround! And thank you for sharing it here. It is quite complicated to give advice without actually seeing your set up.

Thanks, that all worked out. Mostly anyway. There is a certain timeframe in which booking is impossible because it gives the error message
Error: please add a rate for accommodation named AccommodtaionX und Seeblick and season named . Note However that the Season is not named, but remains blank. This timeframe (7 days) is included within a larger season that works perfectly fine (except in said 7 Days). There is no season defined for the timeframe that is not working (I even tried it without the extra seasons), neither is there any booking rule nor extra fee for that timeframe. My only guess is that there’s a ghost entry in the database that doesn’t get shown, but interferes with booking.

I had a look in the database and that is indeed what happened. I have 5 Seasons defined with ID 87-91, but there were entries in wp_hb_seasons_dates for season Id 30 and 29, in exactly that time frame. Not sure how these got there, but deleting the entries solved the problem

Sorry but im getting problems to put the image in the top header of my accommodation page. So, in each page, I have a header with a grey background, but I want to put a image from that specifit accommodation. How Can I do It? all my acommodations have featured image already in, but only appears at thumbnail, and not at the very top of the page. Can you help me? I’ve brought your plugin, but never ask for thast and now I want to modify it. I’m using sailling hotel theme. If this help.
In the accommdation type posts, you can see a column “Accommodation display” with different options. I suggest that you check which template you are using as HBook use by default your post template.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a history log of actions including emails sent out for each booking? This would help with customer enquiries.
It would also be nice to show a history of bookings from the Customer screen.

I bought HBook plugin for about two years ago for my client's needs. Now I'm finishing the cooperation with my clients and wondering if I can transfer the ownership of the plugin from my account to their account?
I am afraid it is not possible to transfer a licence to your client. The problem is simply that the licence is associated to your Envato account. If they need for example to download the latest version of HBook, they have to log in to the Envato account used to purchase HBook licence. This is why it can’t be actually transfered.
A recommended practice is for any project where you will transfer the management of the website to the client, you should ask the client to create his Envato account and have him buy his licence.

Hi Guys, I’m looking into using your plugin for a website that has multiple properties for rent
1.) Does your plugin allow for separate calendars so that each property has its own availability calendar?
2.) And if yes, is there any way that in the event of property #1 being unavailable for selected dates that it would automatically offer a different property that is available?

1. Yes, you can set each property as an accommodation type and show an availability calendar for each of them. They can have their own rates, booking rules, extra-services, fees…
2. You can add search forms for either one property or all properties. If the search is for one property but this one is not available, you can display a link to view all properties availables. You can customize this message so you can as well add a link to a page where you show all availability or a global search form for example.
3. Yes, you can synchronize with any 3rd party channel that supports ical synchronization (AirBnb, HomeAway, booking.com, TripAdvisor,...). For booking.com, we suggest that you first double check with them that you can use ical sync as it is not available in all countries. Hi again, I have a quick question in regards to using ICAL Synchronization with Hbook – If someone makes a booking through my WordPress site or I manually block certain dates within Hbook, will that then reflect on my property listings in my synced channels such as and Booking.com etc ?
And vice-versa – so if I get a reservation on booking.com it will change the availability in Hbook
If that is possibly roughly how fast would my properties listing update across the channels?
HBook supports iCal synchronization which is supported by many booking platforms as AirBnb, TripAdvisor, booking.com, HomeAway, etc… It can be set both ways indeed so when a reservation is received on booking.com, it will appear in HBook and when a reservation is made on HBook, the dates will be blocked on booking.com.
We would recommend to check directly with the support team of booking.com in your country as it seems that it is not available everywhere and that you might need to be on a different type of extranet.You can find information regarding how to import/export iCal calendars with booking.com here.
May I take the time to explain how iCal sync works? What is called iCal synchronization is in fact an import of the ical feed of the calendars that are “synced” made at a regular frequency by each calendar/booking software. Here is what happens:
- Every hour, HBook checks the ical feeds from all the calendars you have entered in HBook > iCal sync > Synchronized calendars. You can refresh the calendars manually by clicking on “Update calendars” button. Any new reservation will be imported into HBook and appear in the list of reservation.
- At their own frequency, the external calendars (Google Cal, AirBnb, TripAdvisor, booking.com, HomeAway,...) do the same and check the HBook ical feeds you have entered in their ical sync settings. They will import the event (Google or iCal or any calendar software) or block the dates (AirBnb, TripAdvisor, booking.com, HomeAway or any booking platform). Some calendar software or booking platform have a refresh button/link to run the “sync”.

1. Yes, you can set a different price depending on the day of the week. You will select which day belong to which season. For example, you will have a “Summer rate weekdays” and select all days but Friday and Saturday nights. And you will create as well another season “Summer rate week-end” for which you will select only Friday and Saturday nights.

Hello, I’ve added shortcode [hb availability] to some of existed accommodation room and after that this room disappeared from calendar in admin page and all reservations info disappeared as well! I didn’t change anything on page, just add the shortcode.
After I delleted shortcod from accomodation page, this kind of rooms have restored in admin calendar but all reservation info is gone! That is big problem for hotel staff now to restore the reservation. :(((

We have the booking now working normal. Only admin mail did not arrive on my account. But maybe was the wrong email address.
Bigger concern: The booking came in, no extras are shown in the booking. She booked a transfer but this one is not reflected in the booking “Select your desired extra services”.
The checkbox questions “Travel Information” at the end of booking form appeared in the booking.
Means we did not see in the bookings that she booked a transfer.
Would be happy if you check and advise…
