We have 8 rooms. We have a 15% discount for 2 of those rooms and a 25% discount for 4 rooms. 2 rooms have no discount. All the dates/seasons are the same. Why is only one discount applying?
right now, if a client selects dates with the applied discounts, only the discounts for room 1&2 show and everything else is at the default rate. 25% discounts don’t show.
There are no issues with HBook discounts. It seems to be a problem of set up of the discount rules in HBook – Booking rules – Advanced booking rules. If you wish to get help with this, we would need to check this directly on your WordPress installation.

Well, there isn’t an issues with that because you can’t assign dates or accommodations in that section for percentage discounts. I will renew support and start a ticket.
To be more specific, it can be due to the way seasons, booking rules and discounts are set up.

Hi, is there a way that a client can login and see his / hers previous booking? At the moment they only have the email after making a reservation. I’d like to give them a user account so they can also see their reservation online. Thanks for your reply!

Quick question – can I turn the payment part completely off to not show any dollar signs whatsoever? My client offers free overnight cabin stays for pastors and does not charge a nickel, therefore, I would just need to be able to book it without showing any pricing or breakdowns of payments.

You can set that you do not wish to display prices in HBook – Search from – Accommodation selection.

Yes, exactly. The ical syns is there to manage availability. It does not sync rates or descriptions for example. For this, you will need a channel manager.

Yes, you can actually use your existing house pages, and simply inlcude a booking form, availability calendar, rates table directly on these pages already created.
You will use HBook “Accommodation types” pages only to set up the booking system (indicate occupancy settings, descriptions to be displayed, any preparation time, etc.). And yes, you can have a confirmation email sent to the customer and site admin, all fine.

Hi, is it possible to directly select a date from the availability calendar? Now you can see if there’s a room available (or not) but i’d like to have the option to select directly from that calendar instead of the form version where you get this calendar in a popup version. It is not possible to select the check-in/check-out date directly from the availability calendar. You will use a “Booking form” shortcode/block for this purpose.
How can I change the default “reply to” in all email templates at once, instead of editing 1 by 1?
By default, emails have email@example.com
For the reply-to email : if you wish to have a different email than the default one, you would need to edit each email template.
For the default admin email (used for the “To” and “From” when not specified, you can set a different email in HBook – Misc – Misc .

With the current version of HBook, it is not possible to set a seasonal price for extra-services. There is a possible workaround, but it might or might not be suitable for your project. If you wish, you can send us a request : https://maestrel.com/contact-general/ and I will explain it further, with the limitations, so you know if it will be usable in your situation.
Hi, I have set an “Extra Service” item called “Pets” which is set to “Quantity per day”. Where on the Booking or Search form is there a place to add the Quantity of pets?
Hi Slade, the available extra-services will be automatically shown to the customer straight after the accommodation selection. So your customer can select how many pets he will bring and HBook will automatically calculate the cost as per quantity per day.
Been using this on a few sites. Love it. Question: Is there a way to do text notifications? I’d like to receive an audible alert when I get a new booking. If not, is this something you plan on adding in the future?

Question – I have several “seasons” setup for multiple accommodations. When I put the Rate Table on one of the Accommodation pages it shows ALL of the Seasons and not just the ones pertaining to this particular accommodation. I hope this makes sense.
Is there a way to Only show the Seasons/Rates for a particular accommodation? Creating a shortcode using each specific accommodation ID won’t work in my scenario.
Seasons are global and apply to all accommodation types. You can indeed have different rates and booking rules for each season, and for each accommodation type according to season. But if your summer season is from June 1st to September 15th for example, then this season applies to all accommodation types.
If you have seasons that are different for each accommodation type, would you please get in touch with us through our support request form : maestrel.com/contact-support/ ? Would you please include your different seasons’ dates? I will give you an example of how to tackle this, if suitable for your project.
Sorry for the late reply. You are correct, my client manages 20 vacation rentals for 20 different owners which makes it difficult to do anything ‘global”. I would guess they have around 20-30 different seasons/holidays setup. If I get a chance I will send you a Support query with some examples. Thanks!

Hi, is there a way to add reward points with HBook? e.g. integrate with WooCommerce payment gateways and compatible with other reward point plugins?
I am afraid that HBook do no offer reward points functionality and that WooCommerce is not supported for the booking/payment. We have developed HBook as a complete system, with an online booking process which is closer to the hotel industy requirements than the usual WooCommerce shopping cart. Is it possible to pay the price of the booking online by credit card and to store the credit card details for the deposit ? Exemple : The customer book 7 nights , the price is 700$ and the deposit 300$. The customer pay 700$ by credit card on the website to book the room, and we store the credit card details for the 300$ deposit.
Yes, you can do so with Stripe payment gateway. In HBook->Payment->Stripe settings, there is an option “Store credit card”. If you set it to “Yes”, a Stripe customer is created and the credit card is saved on Stripe secured servers.
In Reservations menu, you will then be able to charge the credit card at a later stage by clicking “Charge” in column “Price/Payment”. The charge is processed via Stripe.

Hi there. Quick question. If we want to add extra payment to a guest that is checking in, can we just click the “edit” payment button in the back-end and click update to charge this “extra” fee ?? And will Stripe process this ? Thanks!
You can indeed add an extra-service or modify the price, to include an extra cost. You will be able to process it through Stripe if you have set that you wish to save credit card details in “Stripe settings” of HBook – Payments.

After a room is booked, is it possible to generate a booking reference number and display it on welcome page and also mail the reference number ?
You can indeed set that you wish to use a 8-digit alphanumeric “Reservation number” (for example 19505H3E), in addition to the reservation ID. It can be included in the emails but it currently can not be displayed in the “Thank you” confirmation screen.
Is there any plans to include it in you future updates ?
Yes, we have this in our wishlist for future developments, but I can not give you an exact timeframe for it. Thank you for your comprehension!
Does your razorpay addon has webhook integration ?
Our integration of “RazorPay for HBook” currently does not use webhook. We have developed the web integration and we retrieve the payment status when the customer returns to your website.
We regularly update our add-ons and, when available, we use the asynchronous webhook call to update the status of the reservation. If you decide to go ahead and use HBook for your project, feel free to revert to me and I will check if an update of our add-on for RazorPay could be done.

1. Do you mean to display accommodation that are actually not suitable for the number of persons or dates searched? If so, I am afraid HBook does not show the accommodation types that do not match the dates and number of persons searched.
If you wish to display a list of all your accommodation is the page where are shown the search results, you can do so with the [hb_accommodation_list] shortcode/block. You can set the search form so it redirects to a different page for the results and have the list of accommodation on that page, below the search results.
2. The discount can be applied either on the accommodation price or on the global price. If the extra bed is set as extra-service in the HBook – Extra services menu, then it can be excluded from the discount, yes.

Since you already have a option to setup extra bed which is perfect, can you add a option to include or exclude discount code applicability.
So based on users’ requirements they can include or exclude applicability of discount for extra bed.
This is the only feature missing for me. If this is implemented, I would more than happy to buy your plugin and razorpay addon.
Thank you for your input. I prefer to be honest with you and mention that it is very unlikely that we develope a discount that would be applied only to the normal occupancy rate, and not to the additional persons rates. It is rather unusual as request.
I think that you should simply create a different rate instead of the discount. I take your example :
If double room cost is 100 USD and extra bed cost is 40 USD. And if discount of 10% is provided, it should be application to 100 USD alone and not the 40 USD.
Let’s say you wish to apply a discount of 10% for stays longer than 7 nights. You will create a “Special rate” rule that is for stays longer than 7 nights (as you would do with a “Discount” rule type), in HBook – Booking rules – Advances booking rules. Then, you will simply set that for this rule, the price per night is 90 USD for the accommodation rate but it is still 40 USD for the extra bed.

Hey, just for clarification. I can set different price for single, double and triple occupancy right?
For eg in a deluxe room
Single – 50 USD
Double – 80 USD
Triple – 100 USD
You can set the normal occupancy, which in your example would be Single Occupancy. Then, you can set the price per person above normal occupancy. Please note that the price for each person above normal occupancy can not be different from a second person to a thirs person. So, in your example, if you set the “Price per person above normal occupancy at 25 USD per person, the rate would be :
Single – 50 USD Double – 75 USD Triple – 100 USD
But, to set it with +30USD for the second person and +20USD for the third person, you would need to use a workaround.
We want to add extra services like “Beach Bike” for example, but we only have 6 bikes. I see I can limit number of services per booking, but is there a way to prevent over-booking of services across all of our accommodations?
With the current version, it is not possible to set a maximum quantity for the entire hotel, for the extra-services. It is on our wishlist for future developments, but I can not guarantee that it will be added soon.
