Hi, Quick question to see if you can point me in the right direction, when i enter the shortcode for the booking form i have multiple option to hide fields. i hide the staff member by selecting one say “Tom smith” this will input the value as Staff ID=”6” in the shortcode. In the backend in the database table obviously staff ID and the wordpress user id are connected somehow but is there anyway i could pull the wordpress user name to dispay the booking form for this user.. As i am generating user profiles via a template and have the shortcode on the template to automatically dispaly the bookly form for different user pages.

Currently, this functionality is not supported, you can only use this code {staff_name} to display the staff member’s name.

Hi. Quick question I can’t find the answer to. Is there any way to limit the start and end time of one specific service? In other words, keep the default start and end time for all other services as per our opening hours but limit one specific service to between 10am and 1pm for example? Thanks in advance.

Currently, this payment option is not supported. Though you could use the WooCommerce integration, and use the payment gateways that WooCommerce offers. If you enable this option, then customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step of the booking form, and payments from Bookly will be disabled.

Hello, will this plugin work for restaurant reservations? Users must be able to select a date, input their details and make a booking, but the system must only show dates that aren’t already booked out. Is there some kind of inventory/spaces left management built into your plugin?

I have installed this on my test server as am wanting to test before placing it on the live site.
I have found that when I delete an appointment from Google Calendar, it doesn’t delete on the system?
Also, do you do addition modifications for extra work as I am wondering if it is possible to add the ability to fill custom fields with vehicle details based on a vehicle registration look up? There is an API called DVLA Search which performs the look up as a JSON response.

1) Bookly provides 2-way sync with Google Calendar. However, if you create or change an event in Google Calendar the related appointment is not created/updated in Bookly (the other way it does work). However, each event from Google Calendar is taken into account when displaying available time slots to the user in the second step of the booking process. So if you have an event in Google Calendar then the corresponding time slot will be not available for booking in Bookly.
2) Currently, this functionality is not supported.

I have a pricing table on my main site and have a book now button for 3 different options. I am wanting to specify the button url to take them straight to the step 2, time selection for the service specified in the url string…. is that possible?

You can create custom URLs with preselected values but only for the first step. If you want to display the booking form starting, you’ll need update the shortcode of the booking form. Suggestion: It would be great if we could override the default pricing on services dynamically through a custom URL… something like:
http://example.com/?loc_id=1&cat_id=1&service_id=1&staff_id=1&pr=300 where “pr” is the price.The “Number of Persons” option could technically be repurposed for this, so, for example, a customer making an appointment based on the square footage of a property could select 1200 in the “number of persons” field and we could set the price to $0.09 per person (feet). We tried to do this, but the calculation didn’t happen so when they got to the payment screen, the price was listed as $0.09 instead of the actual calculated total. (It would also be helpful if this field was a fill-in field and not a drop-down, especially when dealing with larger numbers. Users on mobile had to scroll for several minutes to get to the larger numbers.

Hi,
I’ve been using Bookly for a few months now and I’ve had a couple of issues come up:
1. Customers do not receive their confirmation email. I have it checked in email notifications in the bookly settings and have tested it a few times myself with no luck. All of the other notifications I check get sent correctly except this one.
2. Clients in my appointments tab in the plugin keep getting mixed up. It will put a newly booked client in an already booked appointment slot and mix up the client names.
Please let me know how to rectify this issue.

2) Please check if you don’t book appointments on front-end while being logged in with WP user account, as it will rewrite every time details of the associated customers. You need to be logged off in this case.

Hi, do you have any idea of why it could be that the name of our customers that are logged in appear in the email we receive for the booking but anyone that doesn’t (which is 99% of our clients) the name doesn’t appear.
The email configuration is well done, but depending on that setting it will appear or not as we have tested.

Yes, for example if there’s service A with a capacity for 10 persons. Then, if John books an appointment at11:00 for 5 persons, then for 11:00 – Service A can still be booked by 5 customers. In the back-end you can see one appointment with the list of customers, though if one customer book the appointment for a group you’ll be able to see it in the back-end.

Thank you. But what I want is this: David books 5 slots at 11:00 for him and his family. Is this possible? Currently I cannot allow a user to book multiple bookings of the same time in 1 transaction.

If I have understood you correctly, in this case, there will be 5 consecutive appointments. So David will be required either to make same bookings 5 times or with the help of Multiply Appointments add-on set the ‘Quantity’ of the services to 5.

Whenever I submit an appointment none of the customer data gets sent or stored. I’m using the “motors” theme from themeforest which came with bookly lite. I’ve tried with both options of creating a wp user and not. Also, when I try to create a customer on the back end, it also does not store.
No need to reply on this one. The issue was the database schema between bookly lite and bookly (full). So if you go from an older bookly lite version to a newer full version and you don’t want to lose data, you’ll have to go through your database and update the schemas. Otherwise you can remove all ab tables and start with a fresh install.
