I have been trying to display comments on a normal WP page that was created with VC. All WP settings regarding discussions etc are correct but comments will not show at the bottom of the page. I did read somewhere that comments are a problem when using page builder tools – is this correct?

Hi, currently i have Visual Composer installed on my site. I want to update it to the newest version but it’s requiring the license.
I checked my themes, and i think it’s not included in any theme. And i also don’t have any information about the account has purchased the license.
So how can i find out where it comes from or what account/email it was activated with? Thanks!
Hello, The Visual Composer which comes with the theme does not have a license of it’s own. To activate the license and to avail auto-updates, you should purchase the plugin directly through us.

Hello, Since the plugin is bought by the theme author, the license code will be associated with his email id. However, since it is an extended license, it will not allow you to activate it from your end.

Trying to create equal height columns. Sorry if this was answered elsewhere but I can’t find it. I keep being told on support pages that you can just tick an option box in row parameters to create equal height columns. Sorry, I have VC 5.2.1 and there is no such option. So how do I create equal height columns?

Hello, The equal height columns can be created as by ticking the checkbox in row settings which is labled as equal height columns. If there is no such option at your end, then it is most likely disabled at your end by the theme author using vc_remove_param.

I have purchase the visual composer but for some reason I’m not able to install this plugin.. when trying I get: Unpacking the package…

When i try to install directly from js_ composer.zip , I get this:

Hello, The issue is because there is already a folder named “js_composer” on your server. You need to login via FTP and navigate to wp-content/plugins directory to delete it. Once done, you can repeat the installation process again. Please only upload the js_composer.zip file. P.S: If you are using any add-ons or if the theme originally came with an inbuilt visual composer, then we would suggest deactivating them and switching onto a default twenty sixteen theme respectively, before proceeding.

I have purchased a license more then 1h ago. Still there’s saying i don’t have license. Another thing…visual composer is loading infinitely. Third thing there is no backend/frontend option at all on post and pages in WP admin. Can you help first with giving some URL where I can actually get help from you?
Hello, the problem is that Envato API sometimes struggles to provide new licenses on time, we are communicating with Envato to resolve it. What you need to do right now is to log out from support.wpbakery.com and Envato. Then log in once again and you will see your license listed and will be able to activate your copy. The loading issue along with the editor not available on the posts, pages is most likely due to an older version used at your end. Hi Guys, I’m using the the vc video shortcode (video player – self hosted). Is there a way to show the control bar (with play/pause and so on) from beginning. I have to do a right click on the video, then I can check to show the bar. But I’d like to have it visible already when the site with video opens. Is there a way? Thanks!
Hello, The self hosted video player is not our standard element. Our standard plugin only supports the video from third party services like youtube, vimeo, etc. This element at your end might be added by the theme author or a third party add-on.

My support has expired. However you should know that there seems to be an issue w/ using Let’s Encrypt SSL and Visual Composer. When I turn it off everything in the site works fine. When I turn it on, I disabled VC and Wordpress works normal, w/ VC enabled, there are just issues in every direction, frontend and backend. I’m using version 5.2.1.

I’m unable to activate my license. When I attempt to disable my other visual composer it says that “License can’t be deactivated while still in use.”. However I’m unable to determine how to disable it. Note I cannot disable it from my current site until i’ve setup the new replacement site (same domain).

Hello, The frontend editor by default is in activated state. If it is disabled by the theme author, then you can get in touch with him and get rid of the code used to disable it: vc_disable_frontend from the theme to get it back.

Why do the Tabs convert to accordion when browsed on mobile?

Hello, I am afraid, we currently do not have plan to change this as the accordions are easier to use on smaller screens as they have wider interface. Hello, The translation strings are present in the locale folder. The spanish file name is: js_composer-es_ES. However, we would not recommend making a change to the core plugin files as it will be lost upon an update.
