Bookly supports the following payment systems:

PayPal Express Checkout (as part of the main Bookly plugin) – already included in the price of the plugin.

PayPal Express Checkout provides the customers with two options: they can jump over to the PayPal site to log in to their account BEFORE completing checkout on your store (which allows them to select their address information) and then choosing shipping options or they can go to the PayPal site to log in to their account AFTER making shipping/payment/coupon selections on your site (and creating an account on your store), much like they do with Standard.

With Express Checkout, the customer can pay without having a PayPal account (as long as you have “PayPal Account Optional” enabled in your PayPal merchant account settings: Profile->Hosted Payment Settings->Website Payments Preferences->PayPal Account Optional = ON), except for merchants/customers in China. Express Checkout has all the same features as Website Payments Standard but is more reliable because it completes the transaction directly while the customer is actively engaged on your site. It supports all the currencies, payment methods, etc, just the same, but more efficiently. There is no monthly fee for using Express Checkout.

PayPal Standard Checkout (as an add-on to Bookly) – the add-on for Bookly for the extra cost.

PayPal Payments Standard takes the customer to PayPal’s site after the check out completed in order to make payment. The customer can pay without having a PayPal account. After the payment is completed, your store is notified of the completed payment, and then the order is stored in your database. PayPal Payments Standard provides payment buttons as a quick and easy solution for accepting payments. Payment buttons let you securely accept credit card, debit card and PayPal payments on your website from any mobile device, tablet, or PC. PayPal sees PayPal Payments Standard as a solution for merchants wanting to collect payments on their site easily, especially if they have no other payment method available. There is no monthly fee for using it.

If I understood correctly you want to provide a booking for a price £10 and in case the customer chooses a wine then gets a discount and needs to pay £6. In this scenario you could create two services with different prices.

Basically. Our client needs to be able to add an additional option to purchase a bottle of wine cheaper (£6) as opposed to (£10) on arrival. Is this possible.

Regarding employees, missed that question. As Bookly is designed to work with staff members availability, you need to set the tables as staff members because customers will book the tables and not the managers.

You could use the extras add-on and add this bottle of wine on the extras step, as the bottle of wine is something additional regarding the booked appointment or just create two services. Here you can the service extras add-on: http://extras-demo.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/

Hi is it possible to create a prepayment like client request as below:

“So that if they were to book a table something could prompt them and ask if they’d like to pre pay for a bottle of wine for £6 or something instead of £10 on the night”

Hi Adela, I’ve just renewed my support – are you able to assist me with the plugin? There are a couple of issues.

1) Unable to add a service after installing the latest version of your plugin. Also, the existing service doesn’t appear as an option in the booking form.

2) Google integration is not working however it’s all setup correctly.

Hi i just bough this plugin. I would like to create events for just one day only. How can i create just a single say event without blocking out the other days one at a time.

If you want to create one day events, you will need to use a workaround with the special days add-on. This add-on provides the option to add days with a different schedule in comparison to the weekly schedule and it will override it. So, you can add a new staff member, disable the weekly schedule and just add a day when the event will take place. Hi, a quick pre-sales question if I may…is the syncing with Google calendars two way, that is to say will Bookly recognise appointments already created in Google calendar by other sources? If I block book a day in my Google calendar manually as say ‘business meeting away from the office’ despite that appointment not having been made via Bookly will it be recognised by Bookly as ‘unavailable’ time? Thanks for the reply Alex, and my apologies for not looking more deeply into the current comments, I see many ask the same question regularly!

Is it ever likely that Bookly will be able to ‘push’ new/amended entries to the Google calendar? It is this absence alone that may require folks to look elsewhere as of course our days are guided by what is in the Google calendar.

Customers making bookings from the website will then I guess require me to manually create the corresponding entries in Google calendar to ensure I/we are up to date with regards to PC’s, mobile devices etc.

I see that Bookly represents the perfect solution to obtaining the bookings and ensuring only available time slots are presented to the client to be able to book, but it is then entirely possible (likely in my case!) that the absence of the details in Google calendar will see me in the wrong place at the wrong time regardless!

Ho-hum, can’t have it all I guess.

Scratch that previous comment Alex, I clearly mis-understood. If I am understanding you correctly, Bookly WILL create the booking in Google calendar and is smart enough to read data from Google to ensure no slots are offered if the time is already booked. But, events created in Google, whilst taken into account by Bookly when determing free time are not actually transferred into the Bookly calendar! So it is perfectly viable to operate a schedule from just a Google calendar. Hope I’ve got that correct!

Hi,

You can use the synchronization feature when you want to block out some time slots when you won’t be available for booking, for example you have a meeting or a doctor visit. So, after adding an event in google calendar, this event will be taken into account and will block this time slot on Bookly’s front-end so customers won’t be able to book it.

Hello! I have installed Bookly on my site blissnwbridal.com . On the front end I am having trouble getting the entire calendar to show for guests to select an appointment time. Only about half the calendar is actually visible with no way to scroll down so the last two weeks of each month are essentially unavailable. Is there a way to fix this? Also from the back end the email notifications will not allow me to change the message that is sent. The text box for the message shows up and I can click on visual or text but I can’t actually click within the box and change the message. It is very important I change this as the generic message is not sufficient. Thank you for any help you can provide!

If you want to use the plugin for restaurant booking, the only way to use it is to set the tables as staff members, as Bookly is designed to work with staff members’ availability.

We have integrated bookly appointment plugin with woocommerce to make appointment.But the bookly form price is not displaying in woocommerce cart.its showing only woocommerce product price only.We have added all settings in admin side for bookly and woocommerce,what else needs to be done for this issue?

I’m using this plugin for a client. We want a simple booking formular pretty similar to the calendar demo http://consultant-demo.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/

We don’t need our users to pick a service or employee or anything else. They just need to fill in the date and available time slot, then write there name and contact info and fill in some information about their booking (in a large textarea) and that’s it.

How do I make that?

Please check if the time zone is set correctly, I advise choosing a city from your time zone instead of fixed hours to avoid having issues with DST and the staff member menu if you don’t see any errors there, and also if the copied API keys (Client ID and secret) don’t contain any whitespaces.

Yes, using this workaround you could set up these services with a specific schedule. Please take into account that if you want to set these services to be only available only for some specific days you will need to the special days add-on. High I am a website developer and i have a problem because i recieve this kind of email ” Please verify Bookly license in the administrative panel. If you do not verify the license within 13 days, access to your bookings will be disabled.” is it necessary to use plugin forever, with out buying?

Hi, I have a question before i buy the plugin.

1. We have people making bookings from all over the world, with trainers from all over the world, do you include timezone checking and adjusting by the customer, and then allowing for the trainer in their admin to have the appointment shown in their timezone?

2. I need to know if your booking plugin will help me with the training for my customers. I have a large group of trainers in different timezones (these trainers will need to have admin control to set their appointments calendar) and then the customers are from many other regions of the world, and they need to switch the calendar into their local timezone. Can your plugin allow for this functionality?

3. This is how we work: (A) after a customer buys a product they need to go into a list of people needing to be trained, they would then be contacted by a trainer and invited to book an appointment, then between the customer and the trainer they need to organise a time to do this together, the trainer would have listed their available times for the customer to pick (B ) if the customer still does not have a trainer, and we need a list in the admin area (maybe on the front end site as well) of all the new customers needing to be trained, then a trainer is selected to do the training and the customer and the trainer confirm a time from their different timezones. The trainer would have listed their available times for the customer to pick from. I currently have the WC Booking plugin, and it can’t do this. Can yours? Thank you Barnaby

1 & 2) This functionality is available only customers. Customers from different time zones can book services and the time will be converted to the time zone where they are located. Though for staff members they will “work” with the time zone that’s set in WordPress settings, currently there’s no option to set different time zones for staff members.

3) This process in handled automatically in the “back”. A staff members is linked to the services he provides and has a schedule. According to his schedule and availability – time slots will displayed for which customers can book the services that this staff member provides.
