Thank you for your hard work supporting this plugin. I did not see an example of the functionality I need in the demo pages but maybe you can help me answer some questions?
With this plugin I can offer booking for defined time slots (like one hour). Can I set up minimum 1-hour blocks but someone can still book 4 hours for one booking? And is it also possible to allow users to see on the daily calendar what time slots are booked and who is booked for that time slot (maybe by mouseover or click?) In the demo, the booked timeslot disappears from calendar and I would like users to see it and who is booked. Thanks!

1) You can create services with a duration of one or more hours. Customers can use the built-in cart to book more time slots in the same booking session.
2) You could enable this option in the appearance tab: Show blocked timeslots, to display the time slots that are already occupied.

Will this plugin allow users to create their own schedules or does scheduling require admin access?

Staff members that have WP user accounts will be able to set their schedules. Only administrators can add staff members and link them to WP user accounts.

We need to be able to select more than one slot at a time. We set the slots to one hour, but sometimes people will want to reserve a space for 3-4 hours. Right now I make them do 3 or 4 bookings in a row and it is very time consuming.

Hi, I’m not sure this is what we need. We don’t want re-occuring appointments, but rather blocks of time on the same day. We really don’t want to set our current blocks above an hour, because some people only need to reserve that long. Just the reocurring one didn’t look quite right, but maybe it works differently?

Bookly is designed to work with the time slots and the duration of a service is fixed, so there’s no option to choose the duration when you book an appointment.

I am currently using the {cancel_appointment} shortcode. It reveals that my site is wordpress and also reveals the location of my admin login page etc.
How do I make this a link that says “Cancel” instead?
I see the info that says {cancel_appointment_url} and to use inside tag.
Can you provide me with the code that I need to use that will make it be a link and thus hide my sites admin location.

You need to use a href html tag to use this code {cancel_appointment_url} and add it to the “Text” tab of the notification template. Here’s an example: <a href=”{cancel_appointment_url}”>Cancel</a> .

Hello,
I purchased your product and spent a bit of time trying to install and set it up. I’m unable to create staff members. WP drop down in the box doesn’t give me an option to select existing WP members. When I omit that step and go on creating a staff member, the plugin saves changes but does not retain any of that info.
Another word, I cannot set up staff members, nor services. Quite frustrated here.
Please help.
PS. Running on PHP7, Never used the Lite version

Presale questions: is Google calendar sync 2-way or this plugin just pushes appointments to the Google calendar? I’d like to use chain appointment extension, is it possible to set up 30 mins gap between appointments? For example: a booking ends at 10.00AM so the next appointment can be booked from 10.30AM. I do not want this gap between chain booked appointments. To understand why is this important: my client is a service provider who works at client’s place so she needs some time to travel to the place of the next appointment.

1) Bookly provides 2 way sync with Google Calendar. However, if you create or change an event in Google Calendar the related appointment is not created/updated in Bookly (the other way it does work). However each event from Google Calendar is taken into account when displaying available time slots to user in the second step of booking process. So if you have an event in Google Calendar then the corresponding time slot will be not available for booking in Bookly.
2) You can set up padding times for all services so there will be a 30 minute “break” between them.

I noticed that during upgrading of the module the following url gets requested: http://api.booking-wp-plugin.com/legacy/?api=1.0&action=download&plugin=bookly&purchase_code=xxxI have 2 issues with this approach. First the api should be accessed via https and secondly it’s unsafe to include the license code in the get parameter of the url. It’s much better to include this in a post variable.

You should make sure that you removed Bookly Lite files via FTP before installing a full version. Check if you also associated your staff members with services, disabled caching plugins and set all parameters correctly. Bookly has integration with WooCommerce. The purpose of the WooCommerce integration is to have access to other payment gateways that are not available in Bookly (but are supported by WooCommerce). So if you’ll enable this integration customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step and payments from Bookly will be disabled. To set this integration you’ll need a product that will serve as a “bridge” between Bookly and WooCommerce. Though even if you’ll use this integration you’ll sell services from Bookly and not WooCommerce products.

Once you make the purchase you receive the plugin and a support pack for 6 months. If you’ll need support after it expires you’ll need to extend it.
With Multisite Add-on you can use the same copy of Bookly on multiple websites. You’ll need diffrent license for every domain.
