I wanted to purchase RSS Autopilot but that plugin hasn’t been updated to work in latest php versions. I have a few questions about your plugin:
1. Does your plugin work with all types of Wordpress themes? 2. Does it prevent duplicate posts from rss feeds? 3. Does it import YT videos from a channel, playlist, user? Also, can I display YT videos in grid layout like http://thumbsnap.com/XZvDT6DX Do you have a demo for YT videos? I want to create 2 different post categories for YT videos for my blog so I can automatically post videos. Do I need YT API for this to work?.

This plugin works with php 7 and not php 5.6, correct?
It works with PHP 5.2 and higher. So it works also with PHP 5.6.
Hi there,thanks for this plugin. It’s great in functionality and settings I can use. But…. I use some long URLs as RSS feed, They won’t fit in the URL field ;-( Is it possible to give the URL field more characters. Shortened links won’t work with RSS feeds. Please help.(I can do it myself if you give me a hint). Greetz MeMiek
Hello, first of all, thank you for your purchase! You can insert the long url in the text field ad even if it is too long to fit, it will still be remembered and the feed grabbing will still work. Also, if you would like to visualize more text in a text box, try zooming out the page in the browser you use. In Google Chrome you can do this, for example, like this: on the page where you visualize your plugin rules, hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard and scroll with your mouse down. This will change the zoom option in chrome and make things smaller in your browser window, in this way, fitting more text in the text boxes.

I discovere that the problem is the use characters like of %. This is the URL

The 2 feeds that you sent me are not conventional, widely supported feeds. I have tried these 2 feeds in my browser and I observed that these feeds are failing to fetch also in the browser (not every time, but if you keep refreshing the page, it will fail). Also, I have tested these feeds on the official SimplePie test page (this plugin uses this library) and the results are the same – the feed is not working. You can check this out here: http://simplepie.org/demo/?feed=http%3A%2F%2Fglobalfamilydoctor.com%2FSyndication.aspx%3Frssid%3D2%26rssparams%3DMMO%2Bw77DvsO%2Bw77DvjEyMMO%2BMTIww74%3D . If the feed fetching fails on this test site: http://simplepie.org/demo/ , probably the feed fetching in this plugin, also will fail.

Another question: about categories. Is it possible that, if I fill in an additional category in the feed settings, the default category will not be used.
For example: I give a feed an additional category “Other News”. The default category for posts is “News”. All the posts from that feed will get de default category “News” and “Other News”. I like to have the category for feeds is “Other News” only. Maybe for a next release.
If it’s not possiblel I will set up the categories in an other way.

You can disable the default category adding and leave only the additional category if you uncheck on your rule the following checkbox: ‘Auto Post Categories’ and save your rule.
In this way, only manual categories will be added to that feed.

Sorry, I haven’t understood well your issue for the first time. You have a DEFAULT category for all posts and you want to remove that category and add only the post categories. I can include a new feature to remove default post categories and leave only custom categories in the next plugin update. I will make it today. Sorry for the confusion!

Hello again, I have release a plugin update (v2.7) that adds the feature you requested. You can find it in every rule advanced settings -> ‘Remove WP Default Post Category’. having a problem with your feed post generator plugin on my site. When I try to save the RSS to post rules it gives me an error 404 page not found. I have uninstalled and re-installed the plugin several times and still nothing. Also, for most rss feeds, the plugin will not pull the full content, just a snippet. Thanks in advance for your help.

To help you solve this issue, please go to plugin’s ‘Main Settings’, check “Enable Logging for Rules” and “Enable Detailed Logging for Rules” and save your settings. Now manually run a rule so it can generate a log. Afterwards, go to plugin’s “Activity and Logging” menu entry and send me by email the full text that is listed under “Activity Log”. Also, be sure to update the plugin before doing as I instructed you above, so you use the latest available plugin version v2.2.
