we are working on new site in which we are changing themes. We exported the database from the old site to build the new one. So there is a lot of old theme and plugin data in the database of the new theme. When we install your plugin, it is listing a lot of available filters that are not a part of your product. We can also not select the general setting and filter styles. I have already spoken with a support tech name milos who was not helpful.
Hi, OK, just delete all keys from your wp_options table that start with wc_settings_prdctfltr_ This will reset the filter and you can configure it from start. Ok I deleted all the keys in the wp_options table that start with wc_settings_prdctfltr_ . Then reinstalled the plugin. STILL the plugin will not install correctly. There is still a long list of available filters that are coming from somewhere. They are a long horizontal list with a blue line underneath. I can’t change filters. The filters that are stuck on each page is sort by, price range, and categories. showing up are This is a HUGE issue I have been trying to get resolved for weeks. I would like to know if there will be chances to have dropdown to content filtering. We need to filter out groups of utility properties over 1000 items, and the dropdown would be a significant improvement.

Check the categories or the color filter here http://mihajlovicnenad.com/product-filter/select-box/shop/ The problem is that it isn’t a default select box and it needs to be setup right to work. So, you’ll need max-height option on with the setting, and you need to customize your filter to be a select box. Also add the filter term searches from the General Settings of your filter preset and you’ll get something like shown in the demo. Thanks.

Not sure if this happened as part of the recent updates but the following lines of css are now making my second parent category label disappear when filtering the results, even thought the Hierarchy Filtering Mode is set to “Show All”. Adoptive filtering is also turned on. Do you have an idea as to why this might be happening?

Hi, can you share a link? This is a part of the SMART hierarchy, which keeps the parent from your child list and adds it after it, so it knows where you are. It shouldn’t affect and other categories. Hey! Great plugin you’ve got there, but I have a problem with it. I have Brands and Models. What I want to happen is this: 1) user can select brand, 2) user can select model inside brand (only models related to the selected brand are shown), 3) user can click the other brand, to start over from the other brand, ignoring the selected model. Now what happens is that when brand and model are selected and you click another brand, it sends user to pa_brand=&pa_model= address, and as these are different, he gets “No products found”. What I would like is to make sure that each time user selects new Brand, even if models were selected from the previous brand, he would be taken to the beginning, like in pa_brand= only. Does this make sense ?
Hi, yes, thanks for the comment. By supporting the issue, we do get that it is quite needed for filtering. So, we’ll add this in the future updates. Check the change log when the plugin gets updated, to make sure this was added. I’m not saying that next version will have the feature, but we’ll be working on this. Thank you.

Greetings,
Currently site have 30,000 products with lots of Make, Model and Years. So i want to use your plugin. We are continuing uploading products and we assume that site will have more then 5,00,000 products in coming days.
Here are requirements:
Shall plugin works well with 5 lacks products and its attributes?
Site have already loaded Make, Model and years and category.
Shall plugin pick automatically Make, Model and years and category from the database to display in the drop down?
The year make model functions should be exclusive, and dependent on the next option.
The make, then model should only show models for the previous definition “the make”.
However the current set up still does not perform this function. Furthermore it’s much, much too slow. The make/model/year selections need a script or a table search done before it starts actually searching the database. To show what I’m talking about I will link to BBK once again.

The first field in the search is the Make. You cannot select the next option until this is selected and it’s fast. The next option is the Model, it’s immediate and only the models relational to the make are shown. Then the year, it’s immediate. Then the engine size, immediate no delay. Lastly the you select a category, then it goes out and searches the database.
Our search function needs to perform like this. Fast, efficient and targeted. If you switch the category as stated before it should hold the year/model selections. Other websites will even show recent searches down at the bottom of the search window, so you don’t have to input the year/make/model every time.
Is it possible to all above requirements are fulfill with the plugin?

When I try to filter products on certain category page I am redirected to shop page where are all the products. Before 5.9.0 and 5.9.1 it worked as it should (filtering was done at category page)

thanks a lot. I found another thing. In IE 11 I cannot cancel individual filters. Only clear all (“zruš všetky filtre”) is working. In other browsers it works as expected.

Hi, well do you have this line of code in your theme footer.php <?php wp_footer(); ?> If not please try adding this code. If you do maybe some of the caching plugins is interfering. Can you try disabling those or dumping you cache or similar and see if that will help. Thanks!

Yes, it’s correct that hierarchy option breaks the customizing possibility. The problem with the two filters not working (category) is my main issue. I provided all login data with my support ticket and i’m looking forward to have this solved.
BTW in the flatsome theme forum there are other product filter users with the same issues. Ajax does also not work (product column and rows count).

Also you might notice in the documentation that we don’t support AJAX with every theme, because theme developers aren’t really doing a great job over there. as you might remember, i’m a long time Product Filter (and most of your other plugins) user and more or less know how to setup, install and debug. I’m not asking for any installation or customization, i can do this on my own. All i’m asking is to solve these “issues” which i believe do not only come from the brand new Flatsome theme. It would be great if we find a solution to make it work with that theme, as i also promoted you plugin on the Flatsome beta tester group.
I also do get this error in the debug console (randomly on filter actions):

Let me make it shorter for you: 2 filters – brands and model. Is it possible to clear model, when user already selected model and wants to change brand?
Hi, thanks for your comment, we really don’t have a solution for that at the moment. Other users have also asked this clearing of filters before making a new selection. I’ll see what can be done in the updated. You can also write your own functions, but this is a bit complicated, even it is only one line of jQuery on the right spot. Thanks.
