Hi. Does this tabulate the results as well after the user responds to the survey? Can those results be kept private? I’m planning on doing a survey for my company and see what customers think but I don’t want to show the results to my customers… Iwant to keep the results for myself.

Hello,

Could you specify how do you mean tabulate the results? You can see the individual and the cumulated results as well on the admin area:

Documentation: Individual results on the admin

Certainly, it can be see with administrator privileges only. Displaying the results publicly by shortcodes is optional.

CAN THE SYSTEM RECOGNIZE MY WP USER ?

Hello,

Could you describe your question, please? If the participant is already the member of your website, then the username will be also recorded along with their votes.

hi there, is the plugin support RTL layout or its too much trouble? :|

Hello,

However, it might be usable, but it doesn’t tested yet, so officially it is not supported at the moment.

Hello I have a question, can I do something like this with your plugin? Thank you in advance!

1. ADMIN of the website create a quiz/test available for USERS (no admin)

2. USER A send this quiz/test to her friends USER B and USER C (available X days). If a friend is not user of the website, an invitation to register is sent by mail.

3. USER B and USER C receive a notification by mail + notification in her account website to respond

4. USER B respond to the quiz/test. USER C not and receive a callback, X days after receive the invitation to respond, by mail and notification in her account website.

5. USER A can resend or delete the quiz/test for USER C

6. USER A receive the result by mail + notification in the in her account website, only if USER C respond too, or if the invitation has been deleted by USER A. Because the result is an average of the two results.

7. USER B and USER C receive her own results by mail + notification in her account website

Hello,

No, that’s need a custom development since you have very specific concepts.

Hello thank you for the respond. Have a good day Regards Andy

You’re welcome!

I wish you the same.

before i buy this plugin is there any way to put next button or preivious button in here http://prntscr.com/cp8i6p for the next questions ????

However, it is possible to edit the position of the back/next buttons with some custom CSS code, you have to know the back button can go back one step only.

Regards,
Pantherius

please can you give me screenshot ? step by step or video

It needs few lines of CSS code only.

I’m happy send it for you after purchased the plugin.

Hello, I’ve two questions about the plugin

- If I’ve a set of questions (eg. 50) but I only want to show the user a selection of them (eg. 10), to make the quiz random and not always the same (so also increase its “longevity”, is it possible?

- I like the social share function, but if I’m right it share only the “quiz page” url and details: is it possible to share the result (eg: “I scored 10 points on this quiz”), eventually also with a different image based on score?

Hello,

- Displaying random questions or not all of them is not a feature at the moment yet.

- Yes, please use the Conditions on the survey edit screen to set up different social metas based on the result.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Thanks for the super-fast reply :) About the random question, is a feature planned for some future release, or I eventually need a customization (or write own code) ?

Thanks again :)

You’re welcome!

It is already on my TODO list for further consideration, but I can’t say anything about it at the moment. Hopefully, it will be added soon.

Hi! Have question. I have MySQL database with plenty of data. I have to make graphics (line chart, pie chart and other) with that datas, have any solution in that plugin?

Hello,

It can be achieved with hard code customization only.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Is there a way to make certain questions optional for the user? Allow them to continue without answering?

Hello,

You may simply create an answer with ‘SKIP’ text. There is no other way at the moment to display the next question.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Ah, that’s a good idea. That should do it. Thanks!

Another question: The survey I’m creating is divided into different sections (topics). Is there a way to add a title above the questions to indicate the section they are currently in?

You’re welcome!

Sorry, creating sections is not a feature at the moment. Alternatively, the section name can be included in the question text.

I set conditions like: “If Final Score higher than 90 then display message at the end: You Scored In The Top 10% On This Mindfulness Scale! How Mindful Are Your Friends?” and “If Final Score higher than 80 then display message at the end: You Scored In The Top 20% On This Mindfulness Scale! How Mindful Are Your Friends?”

But after the 20 question embedded survey, nothing shows. The display message does not come.

You can see the survey here: http://mindfulnessexercises.com/

How can I get the display message to actually show?

Thank you!

Hello,

Please add the following to the Thank you message field to display the final score temporary:

Your score: [score]

This will help you to double-check the final score at the end.

You may change the second condition to:

“If Final Score equal with 80-90 then display message at the end: You Scored In The Top 20% On This Mindfulness Scale! How Mindful Are Your Friends?”

Hi,

I’m extremely interested in purchasing this plugin as it looks like it does exactly what we require.

Basically, we want to create a promotional survey asking users how good their current marketing strategy is, and once they complete the survey (by answering yes or no questions) they will be redirected to an URL depending on their score.

I know the plugin can do the above, but I have a couple of questions:

1. Data collection – can we add more fields than just name and email? E.g.tick this box if you wish to receive marketing communications from us….

2. Can users provide name and email before they submit the survey? If not can this be achieved and how? (Contact form 7?)

3. Is it possible for respondents to get the results emailed to them and can the email be tailored depending on their score?

Thanks, Chris

Hello Chris,

1. However, adding custom fields to the Participants Form is already on my TODO list, it is not a feature at the moment.

2. Yes, the Participants Form does exactly ask for the users’ name and email address before the survey completion.

3. Yes, you can use the Auto-Response feature with conditional shortcodes to display the content based on the participant’s score.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sounds great.

In terms of adding custom fields to the participants form, do you know if this is likely to be a feature added soon? (appreciate you’ll probably have a to-do list longer than your arm). It would be a very beneficial feature for our b2b personality test styled quiz as we’d be able to see what company particpants are from, as well as getting permission to add them to our mailing list.

Cheers, Chris

You’re welcome!

It is on my TODO list with priority. I would like to add it in the next release, which is planned in the next month.

You may check the changelog later here: Modal Survey Changelog

Hello, I’m so satisfied about your plugin !

I have only one question I want to display a shortcode showing only the score of the unique participant in radar mode only.

I didnt find it in the documentation.

Thank you a lot !

Thank you! :-)

Hello, I’m sorry to bother you again.. But I am really stuck in here..

How can I redirect depending on the highest category score

From the condition ?

If categoryscore_ecolo is the highest than polluter then redirect to http://...

If categoryscore_polluter is higher than ecolo then redirect to http://...

Or Maybe directly from the result page using the survey condition shortcodes but how to translate this sentence in shortcode

if categoryscore_polluter is the highest then => content

if categoryscore_ecolo is the highest then => content

and final question how to say :

1) Your Ecolo score is [score_ecolo] you don’t have to worry about earth, try to convince people to act like you..

2) You are a real polluter, with [score_polluter] you will kill the earth really soon !

Thank you a lot !!

Hello,

You can set up the conditions to highest score with the following format:

If categoryscore_ecolo equal with highest then redirect to url.com

Simply type highest as value.

With the following shortcode, you can simply embed the category score into the context:

1. Your Ecolo score is [survey_answers id=”12345” style=”plain” data=”score” qid=”ecolo” uid=”true”] you don’t have to worry about earth, try to convince people to act like you..

2. You are a real polluter, with [survey_answers id=”12345” style=”plain” data=”score” qid=”polluter” uid=”true”] you will kill the earth really soon !

Best regards,
Pantherius

i just bought where should i put the purchase code ?

Hello,

It doesn’t need to put anywhere.

Question about figuring out the average answer on a question – If I have a question with an answer to rate something 1 out of 5, I can display the averages per answer in the results (20% chose 1, 40% chose 2 and on..) but can i display what the “average answer” is, meaning overall it’s get a 3.4 out of 5 based on all the answers to that question ? It looks like the star rating does this, but can it be done for other questions? don’t see an option to show results in this way…. let me know if I need to explain the question more

You’re welcome!

Yes, in case the question has been turned to Rating Question, then it is possible to display the rating average as a result. Honestly, I did it, because it makes sense.

If you don’t turn it to Rating Question, you can display the score (data=”score”) and the rating (data=”rating”) for that question as well, but the answers will be displayed as normal without stars or any other icon.

Certainly, I’ll add your request to my TODO list for further consideration.

Thank you for the kind words!

Regards,
Pantherius

thanks again – do you mean I can get that number (i think its a cumulative rating) that shows up next to the stars without converting the questions to “rating question” by using the data=”rating” thing? tried and couldnt find out how to see that cumulative rating without checking the box – could you help?

Maybe it doesn’t completely fits to your needs, because it is works with cumulative result only. Let me show you with a simple example. Create the following questions and answers:

Question 1: How do you like XY? [XY]
Answer 1: Bad
Answer 2: Not Bad
Answer 3: I don’t care
Answer 4: Good
Answer 5: Excellent

Question 2: How do you like YX? [YX]
Answer 1: Bad
Answer 2: Not Bad
Answer 3: I don’t care
Answer 4: Good
Answer 5: Excellent

Assign score 1 to each Answer 1, score 2 to each Answer 2, score 3 to each Answer 3, score 4 to each Answer 4 and finally score 5 to each Answer 5

Don’t forget to use the brackets as it in the example above. Complete the survey few times with choosing different answers, then add the following shortcodes to a test page to see the results:

[survey_answers id="12345" style="piechart" data="score"] [survey_answers id="12345" style="piechart" data="rating"]

Please replace the id with your own survey id.

As you can see, the first shortcode display the score based cumulated chart, that means the scores will be summarized.

The second shortcode will display the result based on the number of the selected answer, eg.: if the Answer 4 and Answer 5 has been selected in the Question 1, then the second shortcode will display 4,5 for XY and the first shortcode will show 9 as score for XY.

Hope it’s clear now, otherwise feel free to ask!

Pantherius

Pre-Sale Question:

Does it support frontend submit for normal user?

Hello,

If the ‘frontend submit’ means complete the survey on the frontend and the ‘normal user’ means without logging in to the website, then yes it support.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hi,

I mean frontend create new poll by default role (subscriber). Is it supported?

No, creating survey is possible on the admin area only with administrator privileges.

Hello, please is it possible to do something as:

What is your favorite hobby?

1) going shopping Outdoor score+1 2) read book in my room [indoor]

Thank you for your answer

Hello,

You can add multiple categories to the answers by a comma separated list:

1) going shopping [Outdoor,Social]
2) read book in my room [indoor]

I don’t really understand the score +1, scores can be assigned in the answer options (gear icon at the left side of the answer) If that means, +1 score to one of the category, then it is not possible. Scores can be assigned to the answers only.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Trying to understand the changeling – ” added option to show user percentage of total scores when the max parameter has been specified, eg.: – does this mean we can show the kind of percentage results we see in the participants view ? i would love to be able to show that kind of a list, showing the persons results and the over percentages of the answers -on a wordpress page

Hello,

That view, that is displayed on the Participants Page is already can be used on any page / post via shortcode:

[survey_answers id=”12345” style=”plain” data=”full” uid=”true” session=”last”]

The addition you mentioned allows you to display a single plain data, the total percentage, that the user achieved instead displaying the total score.

Before this release, you can show this with shortcode:

Your total score is 80 from 200.

Now you can display:

You achieved 40%

I hope it is more clear with the examples above.

Hello. Once we bought the Modal Survey – WordPress Poll, Survey & Quiz Plugin, i have install it to wordpress and i have follow the steps: 1)create new survey: and I put a name. After that, it had create the default Poll with the message “do you like the new web site” with the option “global” selected and displayed throughout the site as a popup window 2) I have change the content of the question, I have add an answer, I have write the e-mail to its field the e-mail, I have changed the message of thank and finally I have deselect the option “global” and clicked “save” The problem is that the save option does not work. I waited at least 20 minutes to complete, but it does not work. I tried all over again 3 more times with the same suffix. The Defualt prices do not change.

Can you give me a solution for this problem?

We contacted the hosting provider, and confirmed to us that he is not responsible for this problem, as the main site and the other plugins are working properly. After that we had disabled all the other plugins that are installed on the site and again tried the same procedure, with the same result. It means that the button “save survey” does not work. The other buttons of plugin’s menu work properly ( “new question”, “play survey”, “reset survey”, “delete survey”) and respond immediately. The only which does not respond is the button “save survey”

So that mean that the problem is from the plugin.

Can you give me a solution for this?

The similar issue has been happened few times and in all cases it caused by the server security rules which was too high and recognized the plugin database commands as an SQL injection. In all cases it has been fixed with adding the plugin to an exception in the server configuration.

Please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender, so I can check the plugin on your website to make sure it is the same issue.

Best regards,
Pantherius

By the way, you can also check it in Chrome. Just open the Developer Console by pressing Control+Shift+I then switch to the Network Tab. Save the survey and if you see the admin-ajax.php as a red line with status code 404, then it is the same issue. However, I’m not a server administrator, as far as I know it is caused by the ModSecurity settings on the server.

Certainly, if the issue doesn’t caused by this reason, I’m happy to investigate the problem on your site.

Pantherius

Hi, I have a pre-purchase question. I’m currently working on a website for a client and they would like a pop-up quiz to be added (and your plug in looks great). Would it be possible to require the participant to enter their email address before taking the quiz? If not do you think I could add a gravity form to require the email address and then re-direct to your quiz? Thanks

Hello,

The plugin already provides the option to ask for the participants’ name and email address at the end of the survey. Unfortunately, it is not possible to display this form before the survey since it would lead to many uncompleted participations, that will only causing trash data in the database.

Certainly, you can display other form, then redirect to the survey, but in this case the form data won’t linked with the survey result. That means, you can’t recognize who is the owner of any of the results.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hi, how can I setup unfinished redirection? For example, survey has 4 questions, client stop to use survey on 2 or 3 question, I like to setup redirection to first question if there is no action within 5 min or if survey is not completed.

Thank you

Regards

VJ

Hello,

The latest version provides the option to set a question or survey timer. When the time is up, the survey automatically redirect to the end, that might be set to redirect the browser.

Sorry, but redirecting after a specified inactivity or if the survey is not completed doesn’t make sense. For example:

- The user start the survey, then got a phone call. When the call has been finished and want to continue, the survey has been redirected. I guess it would be very annoying since it will show different (unknown) page for the visitor.

- The user start the survey, then close the browser after the first question. In this case, it is impossible to accomplish any action.

These are just two simple example to demonstrate, it is not possible to redirect the survey in case of inactivity without the timer. The timer will let the users know, they have a specified time to finish the survey, then something will be happen.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hi, I have a few pre-purchase questions. I need to create a website for a client that needs to sell access to online surveys.

1. Can i sell access to an online survey created by your plugin? (with an addon?) 2. Can i make scale questions? (On a scale from 1-5 how much do you like burger?) 3. The total survey is gonna be made of 25 surveys each with 3 questions. Can i make a results page with a bar chart that shows the result of every single one of the 25 surveys (the result (in points) from every survey should be put together in every bar). 4. Can i make it possible for the customers to invite other people by email to access the survey? 5. Is it possible for me to make user accounts for my clients with a dashboard where they can acces earlier surveys they have made?

Thank you in advance!

Regards Kenneth

Hello Kenneth,

1. Since the end-users will be charged, therefore I guess you need to purchase the plugin with extended licence. You can use any plugin, that lock the page until the visitor pay for it. The survey can be embed to the locked page. There are many plugins allows to lock the page and unlock it with paying via PayPal or other method.

2. Yes, scale or rating questions are also available: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/star-ratings-and-reviews The rating stars can be change to several other icons and the number of possible rating (eg.: 1-5 or 1-10) can be easily set to any number.

3. However, each survey result can be displayed on bar chart (and many other types), it is not possible to display more survey result on one chart.

4. It can be done with a 3rd party plugin as well, that lock the page and allows to display with an invitation only. Using the same method, like it has been mentioned above with the Pay to Unlock solution.

5. Each survey can be set to display for logged in users only. Therefore, if you display the other survey for all visitors, you can display the early-access surveys to the members only. With some code customization, it is also possible to display it for a specified member group only. (eg.: with Subscriber account only)

Best regards,
Pantherius
