Did you make any recent changes to your site? If you installed some plugins then disable all your other plugins and then try Vimuse again.

Do you face the same issue when you try the plugin in your local setup? Also try creating a new player instance and see if the issue happens there. And please try to remember what changes did you make to your WP installation recently.
I’m not sure what you mean by local setup sorry… I’ve tried a new instance and the same issue occurs. As far as I am aware no changes to the WP installation have happened other than updating to most recent Wordpress AFTER this problem started. Thanks!
By local setup I meant having WordPress installed in your local server, in your computer.

Hi, I purchased Vimuse last night and tried to familiarize me. I’m interesting in audio only: no cover art, no thumbnails. Just music: text info “console” on top and playlist below. That’s it. 1) At the very beginning I was simply able to drag the mp3 files from my music library, and for a minute, the plugin recognized all my mp3 files (I have into my site) Good!… but, few minutes latter it just allowed recognizing only the files with full info (ID3)! Now, I upload many drag many different files today the plugin recognized everything again!!! What happens? I used many, many files and it takes much time to set every info in the box info you provide (besides: I cannot visualize my name files) 2) Shuffle does not work. All the time is the same, same order. I checked many times the functions. 3) The control console on top is not aligned visually with the list. The top part is always 1o r 2 cm to the left I don’t knot why.

It seems that there is a style conflict with your theme or some other plugin, that is causing alignment problems. Try the plugin in the default WP theme and see if the issue persists. As for the other issues. disable all other plugins and then try Vimuse again. If the issues go away then enable one plugin after another to find the culprit.

I’m still having problems with the player: I followed your recommendations: I deactivated it from the original site, and set into another in the default WP version (No more plugins but Vimuse)... and nothing. Have the same trouble. 1.) Shuffle (I basically bought the player for this function) is not working at all! 2. ) Dis-aligned player (it’s not as important problem as the other) remains the same. 3.) It’s impossible to visualize the songs data (if I don’t fill the thumbnails fields in the Add/ Edit part… Takes and incredible time)

The alignment problem is happening because the theme is setting the margin on all ol tags to zero.
I did not understand the issue number 3 that you were facing. You want to show thumbnails but they are not showing up, or you can enter the thumbnails?

Can I pull videos from directory .. videos in the server and generate the playlist from the file name, just as the HTML5 version does? I am using your HTML5 version and it works well, however, now I want to use the one for wordpress.
Are you referring to the building of the playlist by scanning? If so then note that this feature is not available in the WP plugin version.
is it technically possible to do or is there a limitation from WP that prevents a plugin from scanning the folder? This is a very important thing to know for me because I need to decide if wp is really an option for our new website. If there is not way that a plugin can scan a folder to generate a video playlist then it is enough to avoid WP and continue it with HTML. Please explain the possibilities. Thank You!!
There are problems with handling the paths to the files in a WP environment when scanning, and then displaying them on the page.
As for using WP itself, that depends on your core requirements since WP is a fantastic CMS platform. But if your needs are simple and you don’t need to manage too many pages in your current setup then stick with it.

I recently purchased and installed the Vimuse player on my site (WordPress) as an experiment to play streamed broadcasts. It works fine except for one bug: When the artist name contains a comma (like “Crosby, Stills & Nash”) only the part of the song information up to and not including the comma appears. It seems to work fine for all other song information.

I can’t see the issue in your page since a short title is being displayed now. Please create a test player with one track that has the name that is causing you problems.
Try it now. I have “From the Beginning” by Emerson, Lake & Palmer running on a loop.
I think I found a solution. In stream-info.php, I replaced
$info = explode(',', $html);with
$info = explode(',', $html,7);It now picks up the entire title/artist stream regardless of commas.

Once you setup Vimuse to load videos from a Youtube playlist then new videos will show up automatically.

The browser is reporting some errors in the page due to Google Maps. Please try to resolve that as I think that is the possible cause behind the player not working properly. Also update to the latest version of Vimuse.

Okay so now I updated vimuse and I am getting weird stuff. Its just spinning and I am getting js error on vimue
the playlist is not the same…the videos are in the manager, but they dont show up on the page.
The videos show up in the page and also play for me. But I see some styling issues with the player controls bar which may be caused by some plugin or your theme.
Yeah, its working now and I see the styling issues. Weird though the order of the playlist is reversed from the manager list.
FYI, got it working by doing setting the right parameters in the player options. Thanks for the plugin and help Cosmo, everything is working as it should.

Ok, here I am at the Plugin page of Vimuse. You said that the 50MB upload restriction was a wordpress restriction, not the plugin restriction. Is there any way I can get around this? I would have to do extra work to make static youtube videos for example, since Youtube doesn’t work with audio. Otherwise, i would have to find another solution and ask for a refund. Have you considered in later versions adding Link URL’s to source audio files instead of uploading audio files? Thanks.

The Layers Extension is to be used if you have the Layers WP theme. For other cases you should use the regular WP plugin version of Vimuse.
