Purchased Vimuse HTML5 player and the file is too large to upload to Wordpress. I’ve compressed it and it is still over the 50m limit Wordpress allows. If I can’t upload I would like a refund please.

I see that you did not buy the WordPress plugin version, so that means you bought the jQuery plugin version which of course won’t work inside WP.

I would like to use the player in Visual Composer Tabs layout, but for some strange reason, when switching tabs, the player displays the playlist below player and not on the right as set in the options.
Is this a problem of VC or some technical issue with how the tabs are displayed?

If there isn’t enough space in the container then that can make the playlist shift to the bottom

I am not in a position to help with this. You need to ask your theme author on how to increase the width of your Visual Composer container.
I also have other question – I am using audio only without thumbnails, plus playlist on the right layout, but the player and playlist area is too small. What css element I need to change in dark.css to set the player & playlist height to a larger size? Thanks!!
Please don’t directly edit the css files provided by the plugin as it will cause problems for you with future upgrades. Add your own custom css in a separate css file.
You can inspect the player html through your browser inspector to get a good idea of the elements that you need to customize. For the main audio area it is the element div.vm-audio-details

So Iv’e bought your awesome audio player for Wordpress, but can’t get it to play youtube files. Which is the main reason for my purchase
However, I can get it to play local files, with the current settings. So it has to be something in the connection to Youtube. Iv’e also tried a new API, but still it doesn’t work.

You haven’t provided a valid Youtube API key. Please check the provided documentation for details on how to get a API key.
The plugin was working great on the development site but when I moved it to the clients server it no longer loads any mp3’s or videos, just a blank player and loading icon. The clients host is Earthlink, the site was developed on Dreamhost. I had other issues when moving it to Earthlink so I suspect the host setup has something to do with this problem, but that’s only my guess.
I deleted the plugin and reinstalled, no change. I re-uploaded some of the media and again no change. I don’t believe it’s a conflict with any other plugin since it worked fine in dev and I haven’t installed any other plugins since moving the site.

The plugin is not working because this server has magic_quotes_gpc enabled, which needs to be disabled.
Thank you very much for your reply. I disabled magic_quotes_gpc in the htaccess file and the player worked perfect again.
And btw, this client is a composer so he needed a really good way for people to listen to his music and this plugin fit the criteria in every way. I think he’s really happy with it and glad we got it working again. Just thought you’d like to know that! Thanks again.

Your playlist can have just one item, if that is what you meant.
Prepurchase question, can I add different players to different pages?And on full screen mode (vimeo) will videos contuniue to next auto?
You can have multiple player instances in a single page or in several pages. You will exit the fullscreen mode when a video finishes playing, but the next video will start playing automatically (which you need to make manually fullscreen again).
What about video that hided on vimeo?
If you hide a video in Vimeo then its data can’t be accessed by the player.
is there any demo that I can try that?

Yes, when a video is hidden in Vimeo then its data is not available for the plugin to pull from Vimeo. I have verified this with a few other customers.

Currently you can only add media items that are present in your WP Media Library, or else if they are Youtube/Vimeo/Dailymotion videos.

When pulling data from youtube api then 50 items is the limit.
Great plugin! After adding a new mp3 to the playlist, the plugin seemed to breakdown after I had debug enabled in wp-config.php. I now disabled the debug feature, and I can save new players again. I just noticed that there is a warning sign next to my mp3, why is that?

Ok, something is definitely wrong. I uploaded the test site to http://www.comoguide.org/test/ . As you can see, the player is completely out of whack under the “listen” section. However, when I add the player to the very top of the page (directly under the body tag), it appears correctly. What could be causing the interference? I’m using Genesis Parallax Pro theme. I’ve also added it into a test page on the site, which shows that it can work (although the bottom playlist is not aligned) http://comoguide.org/test/test/. There’s also the issue with warning signs appearing on every track of the playlist.
The player’s css files are not getting loaded. Are you embedding the shortcode inside a widget? Please check the documentation to see the code that you need to add in this case.
Yes, I’m embedding the shortcode in a text widget. I added add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’); to functions.php. Shouldn’t that be enough?
Here is the only answer I got from Genesis Studiopress: For third party plugins, we recommend to consult plugin’s official support for most accurate and up-to-date information and bug/fixes reports.
Based on your test where plugin’s only working when added in content part, you may want to confirm from plugin author if it’s usage is limited to content only and if they have any suggestion or work around to make it work from regular text widget too.
And this just came in from a forum member reviewing my site: The CSS is loading. When you view the page source code it is loading at the bottom of the page. Your page does have some rendering errors on it. It sounds like, but it’s most likely an issue with the plugin.. You should contact the ViMuse developer for assistance.
Lastly, this keeps showing up in my debug.log: PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/vimuse/vimuse.php on line 215
I still don’t see the player’s css file getting loaded in the page. The plugin detects the presence of the shortcode in a page/post and then conditionally loads the css files. The code that you have now inserted in the functions.php should have been enough. I don’t know if your theme has some special environment. What happens when you insert the shortcode in the default WP text widget?
Also you can safely ignore the PHP warning in your debug log.

The playlist is getting shifted because in line 1509 of your theme’s style.css a margin-left of 40px is being applied to all ol tags.

Try adding a semi-colon at the end of your shoutcast url (also mentioned in the documentation).

The player instances are embedded by shortcodes. The player does not support categories.
Hi, Do you have any plans to add social share buttons this year? Also the html5 video of the bird in the demo section doesn’t seem to scale up properly after clicking the fullscreen button on Android (checked on Galaxy Note 3 & Galaxy Tab 10). Overall a great player and rival to JW Player who seem to be moving away from self-hosted video users on WordPress. I’m looking to migrate from JW Player and it’s great to see that Vimuse player is regularly being updated.
I don’t have any plans for adding social buttons. I will check the video issue in Android.

We have your player installed and have three pressing issues we are trying to resolve:
1. Full screen doesn’t looks right or really work, see http://cl.ly/3E1V2h3c201r
2. Auto play doesn’t work, we have tried every combination for the settings. The audio starts, but the video does not play. The player works without auto play though.
3. If there is support for the vimeo description? We using the individual video embed options (not the feed), and wonder if there is a way to bring in the secondary video description from Vimeo so it is seen under the main player. See ss. http://cl.ly/1F210b0t1S2Y

Hi, I’m wondering how to stop the titles of the videos in the playlist (underneath the main video) from showing, or at least from being so large that they cover up the thumbnail. This is for a client site so I can send you the link (and the license #) if you want to direct message me.
