Hello! I have Memberpress right now.
In my website I have a premium folder protected with a Custom URI rule, and inside I have Ebooks.
For example: wpcontent/upload/premium/ebook1/index.html
If a visitor try to enter, he can’t and get an unauthorized page to login or register in premium membership.

Now, I have protected in that folder, just with a custom fuction code added to Memberpress plugin that they give me:

With that, I can protect a folder who is in that address: wpcontent/upload/premium/

The coupon system doesn’t work how it should. Lets say you generate a reoccurring coupon to give a user or a subset of users a monthly discount off service. You cannot apply the discount to users or save this field in the profile of the user.
Therefore the only possible way to allow a user to use a discount coupon is they need to remember the code login each month or time frame you bill and paste in the code.
The logic behind the coupon field doesn’t actually make sense seeing you are allowed to hide that field from the profile page. Given you can do that and allow viewing of it in the admin panel why wouldn’t you let admins save a discount to a user?

The Coupon module is working fine and is working as is set. It can be set to offer discount on the entire subscription or only once. It no needs to be used multiple times for the same Subscription.

Hey, Really like this plugin, but I must have miss read the description and thought it was compatible with advanced custom fields. Is there any way of restricting access to certain custom fields?

UMP can restrict any Page/URL or part of the content if is used Inside Locker. It doesn’t manage particular custom fields from certain situations.

How do I do this. I’ve figured out how to restrict content in the editor using the MVP locker button, this seems to work fine. (Does not show this content when visited if not logged in)
But the “Show page only for” does not seem to work for me. Amy I missing something. Still on local install so cannot provide URL

I’ve just noticed the block URL in the settings.
I’m going to have hundreds of posts where I would need to block access to, is there anyway I can block this while editing the post? rather than copying and pasting the URL each time into the settings as this isn’t a very intuitive way to block the post

There is an alternative option, “Keywords” where you can set a common word (like a category) to block multiple URL with one shot.

Unfortunately this isn’t going to work for me, I would have to make sure the URL always contained this keyword which is even more difficult than blocking URLs individually.
Is there no way to just block a post or page based on the Level of the visiting user?
I assumed this was what the option was on the top right, but it doesn’t seem to do anything.
If this is not possible with this plugin, how much would you charge to extend it to have this function?
Or even based on if a post is applied to a category would work.

You can set your system via permalinks to have the category slug into your URLs. So, you can track all your products from a specific category based on category slug as a keyword.

I understand yes. But I don’t want messy URLS like this, Also the posts should be easily switched by a non technical Admin.
What would be perfect and make this plugin very useable is the ability to very simply block a post or a page without any further admin. Just a drop down menu selecting who can view this content.
If this is not possible, could you please inform me how much you would charge to extend this plugin to have this functionality?
A simple way from within a post or page which doesn’t involve changing the URL of the post or page or going to another page and pasting the URL.

Just to be 100% clear. I don’t want to block the content by setting URLS. Nothing like this.
What I need is the ability to hide posts and pages while editing the post or page. I’m not sure if I can explain this in any other way.

Please if you could just let me know this. It’s not helpful for me to block content based on the URL. I understand you can do this by adding a keyword into the URL or changing the permalink structure or pasting the full URL….This is not what I want….Just want to be clear.
What I require Step by Step
1. Create or edit a post or page 2. Select through a dropdown menu, or perhaps by limiting access to categories which member level can view this content.

With UMP you can restrict access on any Page, URL or part of the content. There are not just predefined restrictions. You set what should be restricted and for who.
For special part of the content (like a specific button) can be used Inside Locker that should be set over that content inside the page content or into the template’s file.
Custom Infos from UMP provided via Register form are managed only inside the system and are not split to other 3rd party systems.
If you’re going to use Subscriptions and Level restrictions, you need to use the UMP Register form, otherwise, if is only about Reg users or not, you can use any Register form.

Native fields that are coming from WP are available into the entire WP system. Custom fields from UMP or custom fields from Woo are not matching together. UMP is able to be translated and as we know we have customers that are working with wpml on their system but we can not say more.

I have searched the discussions about account sharing etc and you mention it is not worth it since if someone really wants to share the account they will share and can use a VPN or something. Well to the average user, they may share with their friend, or post it on social media or a forum, then you have the account being used a bunch for one payment. Is there any plans to integrate user sessions, so a user lifetime session is x minutes and only one session at a time and something such as if customer uses more than x IPs within X minutes deny access. The average user will not know how to get around this.
my concern is with user’s sharing their username and pw to other people….

Pre-purchase question here ! I want to use a membership system like yours to sell a service that uses an app for PC / MAC and also IOS / Android. What I want to do is for users to register for a free trial and when it spires, charge them or remove them. The app is a service, so when a user is created I need to send a job to the server that gives access to the user by writing a file that my app uses as valid credentials to use the service, like mail address + password. Based on your description, your desired approach is pretty a custom one and UMP is not built to work exactly like that. You may need to find a way to send what you need to that server that handles that service.

Thats not been the experience so far.. basic questions weren’t answered when I asked them. Such as how to do this or that and you responded by telling me that it was functionality existing but not explaining how to do it. I don’t think thats very good support. So again unless your going to apologize for the previous poor support and guarantee that I’m going to be provided better support in the future then I’m not going to change my review. But if you are willing to do that then I will. I’m not asking for customization work just answers to basic questions when asked about how to use / setup the plugin correctly. Which is what I asked the first time.

You can use the Inside Locker to hide the content for non logged users. Also, there are some multiple shortcodes for displaying the individual info. Check the Shortcodes page from the right-side of UMP Dashboard.

Maybe I got you wrong, but when I create an Inside Locker for this, it’s showing a login message. However, I want those links not to be shown at all (with no login message or anything). I only want them to show up when someone is logged in.

Great. I found it.
I have created a main menu with all specific pages and links included. I’ve made my settings under General Options/Menus for this menu. I’ve set some pages/links to “Show Menu Item Only” for “Registered Users” (e.g. Logout). However, it’s still showing up for everyone to see (as it’s set to “All”). What did I made wrong?
