The question answers dont seem to be saving, when i load a saved survey it only shows the questions and I cant select to add new answers.

I have tried deactivating all other plugins – no change. I have tried deleting plugin and reinstalling – no change

OK, I deleted all settings this time and reinstalled and it seems to have fixed the problem. Ive had this plugin a long time now so i guess old settings muck up the latest version 1.9

Hello,

Probably, it was caused by some kind of caching issue. Happy to hear that, finally the problem has been solved.

Hi, another pre-sales question: Once Can the customer at the end of the survey input their contact info: name, address, city, phone number so that it’s sent to me upon completion?

Questions 2: Can the results be displayed in a nice format for the customer to see at the end

thank you in advance

Thank you for your answer. The thing is I want to save their choices, take their contact info and have all this info sent to me by email. If I redirect them to a contact form, I will lose the survey results right? Or could they be emailed separately?

For the results page, I’m trying to collect the info from the customer, and then display it to him ( only his individual answers) in either PDF or email & send a copy to my self. Each survey is treated separately. Do you think this is possible?

You’re welcome!

The survey result can be saved along with the name and email address, you can view it on the admin.
It is also possible to send a notification with these details to a specified email address.
The survey provides the option to send a prewritten auto-response at the completion of the survey for the current user.

Regarding to the public results, you can display the individual result of each participant via shortcode on any page / post.

Hi, Quick follow up pre-sales question: Is it possible to create a step-by-step survey with ability to go a step back and correct an answer. Also can we show that it’s a “step1….Step2…step3” instead of the progress bar.

Thanks for your answers!

Hello,

No, you can display one question or all questions. Displaying custom text in the progress bar is not possible.

Hi,

Quick pre-sale question: Is there a way to go one step back and change an option during the survey? Thanks in advance

Hello,

However, it is not possible to move back on the survey, but you can display all question at the same time on the page in embed mode. In this case, the users are able to change their answers before completing the survey.

hello , your plugin is interesting for me , however i have a question , id like to make a website like this http://www.webquest.fr/?m=12825_wafa-assurance-2016 and id like to know if it is possible with your plugin

Hello,

I guess you need a Form Builder instead of a Survey Builder plugin. Modal Survey made for polls, quizzes and surveys only.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Thank you very much for the fast reply , best support ever , do you have some propositions for me please , id like a wordpress theme that only view the form like that website , i will be very thankful best regards Hamza

You’re welcome!

You can do it with plugins, not with a theme. Just search for the term ‘form builder’ here on CodeCanyon and you will find several options.

When user takes survey it then shows results. But when they go back it just says you have already taken survey but doesn’t show results. I can use shortcode to show but is there a way to not show results until a user has already taken survey?

I mean say I have a post with a survey. If a user goes to post and takes survey they see results by the “display the results at the end”, but if they come back to the post later they just see “You have already taken” and don’t see results.

Survey with modal or embed style? Anyway, you can embed the results to the same page or redirect to a results page. It is also possible to set OFF the Display once per Filled Out, then reset the survey, so the users will be able to complete the survey multiple times.

Regards,
Pantherius

I’ll just use redirect mode.

Hi, i want to create a quiz site. is it possible for the visitor see their statistics or is just a tool for the webmaster??

Thanks

Hello,

You can add the results to any post or page via shortcodes, that is allows for the visitors to see the stats. (individual and cumulative)

Regards,
Pantherius

Thanks, is it possible to insert a ranking of all the visitors?.. Thanks

You’re welcome!

No, displaying the participants list based on the scores is not a feature at the moment.

Regards,
Pantherius

is it possible to redirect to different custom url based on the score. am using this for a personality test and would like to restrict registration based on score. so users above a certain score gets to the registration page and below to a contact form for more info…

Hello,

Yes, you can use the Conditions to create custom redirection based on the scores. Read more in the documentation here: http://modalsurvey.pantherius.com/documentation/#line2_7

It is also accepts “between” conditions, eg.:

If Final Score equal with 10-30 then redirect to customurl.com

Hello,

Is it possible to add html into the [modalsurvey message= parameter ?

Thank you very much,

Hi,

Yes, it is possible.

Best regards,

Hello, is the plugin compatible with multisite installation ? Thank you

That is correct. Thank you for the info.

Hello,

Regarding “Request Name” and “Request Email” features, is it possible to:

a) Show it only for not logged in users ?

b) Make it optional for the user to fill it at the end. I mean, keeping the answers in the database even if they prefer to not fill those personal info.

Thank you,

Hello,

a. No, but for logged in users it is automatically filled with their registered name and email address.

b. No, these fields are mandatory, if it has been enabled.

I can get the survey results to show up in the sidebar but not the survey itself. What am I doing wrong? I have put the shortcode in a text widget like [modalsurvey id="752352377" style="flat"] and set global survey off.

Hello,

Please add init=”true” to the shortcode, because some themes doesn’t has a valid footer and the plugin can’t initialize itself. With this parameter you can force the plugin to initialize itself right after the shortcode.

Regards,
Pantherius

Yes I tried that and it still doesn’t show in sidebar. The results don’t really show correctly either. It shows the progress bar but there is no progress indicated … i.e. no color bar. www.reflectionsenroute.com/top-ten-monaco

Please send me your website login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check the issue.

I get the message “You already filled out this survey!” every time I open the page to test the survey how can i change that?

Hello,

If you would like to allow voting for the same survey multiple times from the same users, please set OFF the Display once per Filled Out option in the General Settings. Reset the survey or clear the cookies in your browser to apply the changes.

If you mean, how to translate the text, then the plugin compatible with WPML. You can translate any texts with Poedit or with any 3rd party translator plugin.

Is there an option to show active surveys so visitors can see all the active surveys and engage them.

Hello,

It can be done manually. You can include the surveys via shortcode to any page / post.

Pantherius

Hi, To move to the next question you have the arrow next to the question.. Is it possible to have that at the bottom of the answers? On the mobile layout when you have a lot of answer options & multiple answers on, you have to scroll back up the the question to click the arrow to go to the next question.??

Thanks again!

Hello,

It is a really great idea, just added it to my TODO list.

Hi Pantherius, plugin is great. I have two questions:

1. redirecting after filling out the survey doesn’t work. I tried to set conditions but it didn’t help. Any idea what’s wrong? We use plugin for feedback and after giving feedback we want to redirect user to page with bonus information.

2. How can I translate parts of the plugin? I would like to change text on the sending button and text about entering user’s details. In which file of the plugin I can find these things?

Thank you,

Jan

Hello Jan,

Thank you!

1. Probably, the condition doesn’t applied. If you would like to redirect the browser to the same page in all cases, you may use the Redirect URL input box at the top-right area on the survey edit screen.

2. The plugin is compatible with WPML, that means it can be completely translatable by any 3rd party translator plugin or with Poedit.

Regards,
Pantherius

Thank you for quick response.

I will translate it as you said.

To my first question – it doesn’t work either with Redirect URL input box nor with condition. That’s the reason I am writing here. I can give you access and you can take a look. I got no idea how to fix it :/

You’re welcome!

In this case, probably the website has a JavaScript error, that prevents the redirection to work correctly.
Yes, please send me your website URL with login details via my CodeCanyon profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it.

Hi, the plugin looks very nice! Just one thing, is it possible to embed surveys in comments? Meaning that a comment itself becomes a survey? Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you!

No, the survey can’t be embed as a comment currently.

Presale Question: I’d like to have survey recipients subscribe to my site in order to see the results of the survey. Q: Is it possible to connect my email autoresponder to redirect them to the results page upon completing the survey?

Hello,

Yes, it is possible, but depends on which autoresponder you using. See the full list of the supported email newsletter service providers on the plugin’s page. (eg.: MailChimp, Active Campaign, etc.)

Best regards,
Pantherius

Got it – Thanks!

You’re welcome!

Hi, one pre-sale question. Can I do a survey with images ? For example, ” what is beautiful cake ? ” and three images to vote?

Hello,

Yes, you can add images as answers, see the example here: Quiz with Images Demo

Hi there pantherius,

I am looking to setup a website purely for surveys – essentially a website to generate leads. Currently we are using LimeSurvey to manage multi-paged surveys for multiple clients/sponsors but LimeSurvey doesn’t allow “global registration” and requires that users must register PER-survey.

Would your product be able to run as a fully-featured survey app to allow us to build a database of customers and see what surveys that have taken?

Also is there functionality to export the data/results into external APIs?

Thanks, hope to hear back soon as this WordPress plugin looks promising and I’d love to use this instead of LimeSurvey.

Hello,

Modal Survey allows anonymous participants and it can be also limited to members only. The plugin able to save the participants details individually along with the answers. It can be exported to different formats or pass the name and email to a 3rd party newsletter provider. (see the supported service providers on the item’s page)

Exporting the data / results to external API is not a feature since it would be always a custom development based on the requirements of the external API. Each API is different, so there is no general solution that can fit to all or to the most APIs.

The documentation (and the changelog) provides the most up-to-date informations about the currently available features.

Hi Panthers,

I’m displaying the results of my survey for each individual question in a Progress Bar style. I’ve created & tested the survey and its ready to go.. I then reset the survey to remove all testing data.. I then complete the survey for the first time as a live survey.. The first questions results show as 1/3 (at the end of the progress bar) the second question results show 1/1..??? how can I correct it to show #/1 for all questions as the survey has only been completed once.

Thanks! ..I sure hope you understand this!!

Hello,

Yes, I see.
Probably, it is a temporary caching issue. Please try to reset it again, then refresh the survey page before you voting.

If the issue still exists, please send me your website URL with login details and I’m happy to check it.

Regards,
Pantherius

Thanks, I’ve done some more testing and it seems that the count of the number following the / is a total count of how many answers have been selected for that question. So if I select 6 answers in the first question it will show 1/6 for each answer selected and 0/6 for the answers I didn’t select. Is that correct? I would of thought it would show the amount of times the question has been completed not the amount of answers that have been selected..??? Thanks again I hope you can follow what I mean. ; )

Correct. The first number is show the total votes for the answer and the second one is the total votes for the question.

Pantherius
