Hi Firsh,

Would I still be able to use the JIG Nextgen Filtering System but use the standard Nextgen Mosaic so that I can use the E-Commerce Function, or does this still remove the E-Commerce function while JIG is active?

Thanks

No, sorry. You must display things through JIG if you wish to take advantage of its filtering. Their pro lightbox has commenting and ecommerce features yes, JIG doesn’t remove them on purpose. It’s just that the pro lightbox detects whether or not it’s NextGEN pictures that are using it and only enables such features for the original NextGEN gallery. There were attempts where I tried to spoof it in a way that it thought it was original NextGEN. It is not something I could release in the public version of the plugin, as it’s very workaround-ish. Let me know if you need it. It was “packaged” for v2.8 of the plugin but it could be updated to v2.9 too.

Hi Firsh,

Thank you for your reply, I am looking to take advantage of the e-commerce function so having their original lightbox might be beneficial. How could this be made possible? Is there a process for me to follow with you?

Thank You

Contact me from my profile I can send the customized v2.8 to you. If you like or it works fine I can upgrade it to v2.9

Hello, I’m interested into your plugin, would need it for photography site, where I would link to wedding facebook albums, but I have one big concern, what if you drop support, or this plugin doesn’t update anymore, ... what would happen will those galleries made by this plugin, I talk about future proof of this plugin? What if I remove plugin, I believe (logical answer) is that I lose all galleries, images on my site?

Thanks.

Yeah $29 or $59 for themes usually isn’t the problem, but the time you dedicate to use a product only to know that you’ll have to re-do everything the future, can be daunting. I do my best to prevent my buyers from feeling that with JIG.

It does have all those element or can have all 4 different ones displayed (2 in the lightbox, 2 on the image).. You can see example of 4 different captions at work in the second example on this page: http://justifiedgrid.com/lightboxes/prettyphoto

SEO:

It works pretty well if you look at these examples:

http://snag.gy/CR5PP.jpg http://snag.gy/6dMes.jpg

Without forcing it to search only on JIG’s site, it found the exact image that that my made up text in its caption. This text is in the link element’s title attribute.

This one is in http://snag.gy/Jfpxv.jpg the image element’s alt attribute. People tend to use just 1 caption for the core part of the image description anyway.

Try disabling JavaScript in your browser then see the demo site. Everything will be there, just not justified. Since Google can’t run the JS gallery (that well?), there is a non-JS version of the gallery in place. Also the images get added to Yoast SEO plugin’s XML sitemap.

Thank you one more time, just to confirm we talk about “facebook” images displayed on my wordpress site, and it has all SEO elements it should? If answer is yes, I will try my luck with JIG :)

Yes of course, no matter where the images are from JIG treats them as equal, with the same layout, same SEO. Google might like on-site images better though. In this case it’ll find the thumbnail as your on-site version but will lead the visitors to your page anyway.

Hi, I’ve a website based on WordPress 3.6.1 that is using your plugin 1.7.2 due to changes on the hosting i need to update the wordpress version to the latest available (4.4.2) I’ve done the update but on all the pages (except the homepage) I don’t see the gallery. instead of the gallery I see codes like that: [justified_image_grid last_row=flexible overlay=others mobile_overlay=same overlay_color=black overlay_icon=off overlay_opacity=0.2 outer_border_width=0 outer_border_color=#cccccc middle_border_width=0 middle_border_color=white inner_border_width=0 custom_width=320 disable_cropping=no thumbs_spacing=20 row_height=300 height_deviation=90 caption=below caption_text_color=#000000 caption_title_size=23px mobile_caption=same caption_bg_color=#ffffff caption_text_color=#000000 gradient_caption_bg=no load_more=click recent_posts=yes recents_include=36 caption_text_shadow=”0px 0px 0 black”]

I see that the plugin version is very old but I can’t update it automatically neither I found a way to download updates, so I buy another time the plugin and I installed the latest version but nothing changed.

Please can you help me?

Kind Regards, Alec

To download updates you’d just download the plugin again on the downloads tab of your account, it’ll automatically download the latest version. Sorry you bough another one, it wasn’t necessary. Autoupdates are in the plugins since v1.9 only. As for the shortcode visible problem, try this: http://justifiedgrid.com/support/fix/i-see-the-shortcode-instead-of-a-gallery/

So the homepage works but other pages don’t? I believe the do_shortcode(); is missing from the theme where it displays the content.

Hi,

My website is www.joshuamcghie.com

I am loving the plugin, but have a small issue. Whenever I click on an image thumbnail, weird strings get added to the end of the url. If I look at a number of images from the grid, the url gets very long and weird.

Is there a way to stop this behavior?

Thanks!

Is it like: #!jig1/ML/8952 or more?

It’d the deeplinking feature. You can disable it on the lightboxes tab if you want. If it’s not set to “smart” then setting to “smart” will cause shorter # suffix to the URL.

JIG Smart Deeplinking:

A unique, JIG feature that takes Deeplinking to the next level. It generates short URLs, and is tailored especially for social sharing. When liked, shared, +1’d, the photo thumbnail shows up, along with associated captions. The likes and shares are always counted towards your page URL the lightbox opens on, including a unique suffix. The JIG Smart Deeplinking URL indicates which image to re-open upon visiting the URL. This is absolutely not how normal deeplinking works, but it is how people expect deeplinking to behave, in general. JIG Smart Deeplinking meets your expectations.

Can you reset my JIG license? I deactivated the old site I used it on, and I would like to set up my new site with automatic updates.

I have no clue what I’m doing wrong ..

I have an image grid with 8 images .. each image should link to a corresponding wordpress page

I have the first 3 images set up …

The first image works perfect .. it links to the wp page I created. The second image links to an Amazon page – even though that link is not set anywhere?? The third image opens a very small lightbox of the image??

Here is the grid code I’m currently using …

[justified_image_grid preset=5 ids=”241,153,152,240,236,237,234,238” thumbs_spacing=37 lightbox=custom mobile_lightbox=no show_text_before=no show_text_after=no margin=20 custom_width=900 developer_link=hide]

Here is the link to the website http://ericgmeeks.com/

Help Please !!

Hi your link says “We Will Be Online Soon !!” Please contact me from my profile with temporary wp-admin so I can log in and see behind the maintenance mode.

Is it possible to have a gallery open up directly into a lightbox, rather than showing all the thumbnails?

Yes see 3rd example: http://justifiedgrid.com/lightboxes/photoswipe/ and look for the “groups” feature in the comparison table: http://justifiedgrid.com/lightboxes/

Need to reset my installation code as I moved my site but it wont update.

Couple things… There’s an issue with MFP lightbox not working correctly with Feed Them Social plugin https://goo.gl/NALNwu Any idea why?

Also, when MFP is zooming up the large image it bumps the thumbnail gallery to the left about 5px. I thought this was “fixed” but now has appeared again. Any way to tweak this bump out?

Thanks!

I don’t know about that but just add this to Custom CSS:

html { margin-right: 0 !important; }

How do you know that a conflict is caused by the feed them plugin? And if that conflict is something different, what is it? Now that the transparent/z-index thing and the margin jump is solved, is there a conflict remaining?

CSS tweaks seem to be working nicely, Thank you! Yes, once again you’ve proved the recipe to success is a superior product and amazing support! :-)

About the z-index issue, I deactivated all plugins, issue was gone, continued to isolate plugins till I conformed problem caused by activating Feed Them Social plugin. Seems odd.

Thank you I do it for words like this :)

Aaah okay. I couldn’t pinpoint that exactly just by looking at the z-indexes of the element, but forcing a specific order solved it. So yes it must have came from somewhere for whatever reason. Perhaps they have something to do with MFP.

Hello Firsh. Im trying to make one picture galleries to be 100% width on mobile devices such as ipads and hdpi smartphones. On almost all devices in vertical view single photos are in full width (i got margins on my website).

But in horizontal view its gets like this ( http://i.imgur.com/fqOHW4y.jpg )

As u can see at pictures creating a grid the content area of the site is full width.

jig codes for the 3 single images:

[justified_image_grid ids=198 row_height=1000 height_deviation=100 mobile_row_height=1080 overlay=off mobile_overlay=off margin=0px disable_cropping=yes]

[justified_image_grid ids=203 row_height=1000 height_deviation=100 overlay=off mobile_overlay=off margin=0px]

[justified_image_grid ids=268 row_height=1000 height_deviation=100 overlay=off mobile_overlay=off margin=0px]

As u can see i tried to fix this with mobile row height, but even with size like 5000px it looks same as the first one.

Thx for help!

Here’s the link:

http://yeloow.pl/shima-krok-po-kroku/

Global settings in mobile height is set to 200px (+/- 50) because i get grid on mobile with this settings. I can make larger single images just as first from the pic with larger mobile height, just its not 100% wide.

Maybe thats the case i won’t be able to go around?

“Please note that the device in landscape orientation has less available height than a portrait thumbnail this way, but JIG will limit the thumbnail height to the screen height!”

Why place 1 image? Is it going to be single image in content? Unless the image is some weird AR it should fit on the screen: landscape image is most likely to fit alone, but portraits not so much unless the phone is oriented portrait too. If it fails and you are sure it’s not sure to the mobile row settings, I recommend the incomplete last row setting’s center option which will put the image to the center of the available space.

Hi Firsh. You used to update the plugin regularly. Whats happened are you not actively developing anymore?

I do, I also have a new update in the works but I want to add some good new features to it that has been requested. The new site completed on Dec 1 and I needed some time off. My todo list is endless and there is much more to come, don’t worry :)

Hi, I’m having trouble getting JIG to work correctly with the Salient Theme.

http://renderingspace.com/gallery

In my gallery I have 3 sections. Ignore the first section called Single Property Websites.

The second section is called “Matterport 3D Virtual Tour Gallery”. I have my general theme settings set to Magnific because if I set it to PrettyPhoto, it doesn’t recognize these special links (they’re not videos, they’re virtual tours).

The third section is where I use JIG. In JIG settings I have to set it to “No, Open by the Browser” or else it opens 2 lightboxes, one from JIG and the other from the theme.

With my current configuration, the problem is that there’s no way to navigate to the next photos. You can click on one photo but then you have to exit it to go to the next.

My question is (1) is there a way to make the virtual tour lightboxes in section two work with Pretty Photo or (2) is there a way to make the photos have navigation with Magnific turned on?

Thank you!

Thanks for the thorough reply. Unfortunately, after 2 hours I just can’t get it to work. I was easily able to change Salient’s theme lightbox back to PrettyPhoto and add the ?iframe=true to the virtual tour boxes so that works really well. But I just can’t figure out how to get the navigation arrows back.

I tried adding the “product-image” to the “Link class(es)” field but that just made photos open in a new window.

It sounds like I need to add the .not(’.justified-image-grid a’) to the Theme’s JS. I don’t have the technical skills to know how to do that.

It’s frustrating because I have other sites on the multi-site network that use JIG and nothing is broken:

http://schaefferestate.renderingspace.com/#gallery

I have no idea how it broke on my main site when all the settings are exactly the same.

I appreciate your help anyway!

Contact me from my profile and I’ll solve it for you. I’ll need temporary wp-admin and FTP access. I looked into these properties it was quite fun to look at them, they are very good presentations of real estate.

General question about the lightboxes, is there one that allows a picture to be full size. What I mean is the visual composer gallery that came with my theme has arrows that let you enlarge the picture but I dont see that option on the JIG demo. Thanks!

This one has a fullscreen button: http://justifiedgrid.com/lightboxes/photoswipe/

Also, prettyPhoto has an allow_expand setting that enlarges the frame of the lightbox until scrollbars can appear. But it’s not fullscreen and is not enabled by default.

Hi!

I’m getting the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Mobile_Detect::isMobile() in /home4/danielbr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/justified-image-grid/justified-image-grid.php on line 8677

I checked and mobiledetect.php is in the JIG folder. I also tried deleting and reinstalling, but it didn’t solve the problem.

Hi, that is a mystery error. It happened to a few other people but I wasn’t able to find the reason why when everything was in place and checked out. Only way I was able to make it go away by using WP’s built in mobile detection (just changing a few lines). Contact me from my profile and I’ll help you out.

Perhaps it has something to do with PHP version.

We have used justified grid to display flickr sets.

See – http://www.impactsigns.com/metal-letters/

I would like to have all the thumbnails in a set show on the lighbox view under the main image.

I would also like to have the set name, set description, and a link back to the flickr set – all on the lightbox view.

Is this possible to do?

Hi, please verify your purchase, as you don’t have a buyer badge and the purchased tag here. Did you buy with the “teracube” account?

What you need is a Flickr Collection, second example: http://justifiedgrid.com/sources/flickr/collections-multi-level/ The lightbox will only contain the photo’s data, not the album data, even if you open just the cover. Individual photos can link back to their page on Flickr, but not to the album.

Hi Firsh, Man I’m so happy today…I had to swap out my theme because it’s no longer on TF. I have over 1200 pics in JIG galleries and was so worried about everything going nuts when I switched out the theme, NOPE! Everything stayed perfectly intact! If ya didn’t live so far I’d run over and KISS YA! but not in a gay way :D carry on bro, you da man.

Thanks bro :) Yeah JIG stays intact when you change themes, why wouldn’t it. It’s a benefit of using non-theme-supplied plugins/shortcodes.

Hi there. I just purchased your plugin. It looks really nice, but … I have searched and found many requests about Visual composer component, for more than a year. So … still no componen for VC??? Any plan, or release date?

Thanks in advance.

I know, it’s on my list and I remember these requests, but I haven’t had the chance to implement it yet. For most of past year I was busy with the new site. It’s coming soon. In one of the next updates I hope.

Thanks a lot!

hi Firsh. JIG is perfect; I’d like to say ty so much to you, first.

my question is: after I installed JIG, my default lightbox can’t handle the photos that I embed my post. here is a link: http://65d.a2e.myftpupload.com/osmanlinin-yetimi-avrupanin-kudusu/

my theme is Letsblog btw.

I haven’t heard of a standalone photoswipe plugin yet, is that by semenov? If not, then that’s some weird thing because he asked the public not to make a WP plugin for photoswipe. I don’t see the word “photoswipe” in the source of that page either. If the script handle that the other plugin registers is photoswipe, then JIG deregisters it. You can try disabling the “Load bundled lightbox versions” settings in the Lightboxes tab of JIG settings to confirm this. But I’m afraid eventually it’s not possible to load 2 different instances on a page and use them differently. JIG’s version is modified in some ways. Perhaps you can turn off the lightbox in JIG, set it to custom lightbox then somehow rely on the standalone plugin to work with all images – JIG or single. But I doubt that would work because PhotoSwipe is rather peculiar.

my photoswipe plugin is: https://wordpress.org/plugins/photo-swipe/

now I have activated photoswipe plugin, and here is the page that designed without JIG: http://65d.a2e.myftpupload.com/ijdfvs/

but this time the pages designed with JIG is broken: http://65d.a2e.myftpupload.com/fihudsbiklm/

The 3rd party photoswipe deregisters JIG’s version of photoswipe. JIG seeks for customized functions in photoswipe but it’s not there because it’s deregistered. If you need JIG with PS you need to use the built-in version, and disable the photoswipe plugin. Use JIG for any/all images that need to be opened with PS.

Hi! Can you please reset the licence for me:

USER: prositeplease

I cant get updates and not sure why.

Hi, the plugin works on every browser except safari 7+ There the PopUp does not work and there are no image titles: http://www.botanicalgarden.at/dev/#portfolio

We tried all JQuery options in the settings one by one but the behavior does not change for Safari7. Do you have any hin how we could solve this?

Thank you!

I don’t have that browser, on PC we are limited to an older version that is worthless. If you check my site, it should work in Safari. So JIG itself should be compatible. I see nothing out of the ordinary on your site in other browsers. But try using “smart deeplinking” instead of advanced in JIG settings > Lightboxes tab > prettyPhoto deeplinking. Also, for troubleshooting try this fix: http://justifiedgrid.com/support/fix/old-jquery-js-not-loaded-lightbox-skipped-javascript-errors/ and start with the 3rd paragraph, using browser developer tools to inspect the site and check the console while loading the page / pening the lightbox.
