Apps created before Nov 17, 2015 will only be required to submit for review by June 2016. We recommend that you update your product and start the submission process sooner than later to avoid interuptions of service.

So starting November 17th all newly created apps and its tokens won’t work for pulling data unless it’s approved by Instagram review team. Because they’ll start to make such reviews December 3 and most likely will experience high load we can propose to send you our own working token. Keep in mind that we will send this token to another users also and rate limits will be shared so please don’t abuse APIs and set higher number for CACHE LIFETIME

I have trouble getting the Instagram feed to show, though. I have created the Instagram developer app and authenticated, and added the access token as instructed. Instagram photos do not show up in the flow. Facebook and RSS feeds work just fine.

Hi I wonder if you can help me on the flow-flow plugin, I am using it to show wordpress posts as a list of recent news stories, it is working but not displaying an image, I’ve tried adding images to the main content and featured images section of the post but neither are being picked up by the plug in, ideally I’ll like it to grab the featured image if thats possible?

We are using your awesome flow flow plugin on teenvogue.parsons.edu . It is used to show photo gallery in a grid on our site.
We are facing some critical issues on our server.
First one, millions of ajax request are being sent on server due to flow flow plugin. To overcome this, we have commented line number 209 in the file flow-flow/includes/FlowFlow.php. commented code is: wp_remote_get( admin_url( ‘admin-ajax.php’ ) . ”?action=load_cache&stream_id={$stream->id}”, array( ‘timeout’ => 1 ) );
But it was causing cache issue. That is, site was showing only cached results. So again, to overcome this, we wrote a script to run above commented code once in an hour to clear cache. But still cache is not cleared and shows old results.
Please help us to show all the latest posts in the gallery.

I have a problem with the ssl certificate. My hosting service, Aruba, doesn’t allow me to have a this kind of certificate because I don’t have a specific server. Is there a way to let work Instagram and Twitter without this certificate? If this is not possible, I bought this plugin uselessly.
Hello. We’re making notice about SSL on item’s page. If it doesn’t work on your current server without SSL and hosting doesn’t provide shared SSL certificate and doesn’t allow to install own certificate there is no way to stream Instagram and Twitter

Hello again. There is something in the fb stream. If admin of the fb page makes a post it comes in to the stream/feed but if a visitor posts it does not come. Is it the plugin or config or in FB?
Visitors posts are not counted as page posts by FB API when plugin requests page. And it seems API doesn’t have endpoints to get this
Strange because we recall it used to function. And besides we had in try another similar service as yours and there it functions.
I found solution! Altough we have in the feed a public FB PAGE it works as we want if we make in the setting the FB feed as a public group. Please check and keep it

this usually means facebook token issue. Please carefully follow http://flow.looks-awesome.com/docs/Setup/Authenticate_with_Facebook and regenerate token
2.1.4 works perfectly now. I was complaining about Flow plugin for the past month or so, but after I carefully added the feeds to my stream now it seems to work perfectly for the past few days. Until now it always had issues of updating the stream of 100+ feeds. But I removed everything (databases, files) and added it again as brand new. BUT I added around 40 feeds one after the other, then added only 1 feed at a time. So, added one, I saw the ” ! ” sign, waited for the sign to be ok, then added another one. I only added one more source after the stream was ok and had no errors. I tried to add 3 more feeds instead of 1 in the same fashion and the plugin stopped working, only worked with one stream at a time.
I managed to add back almost all my 100 feeds and I suspect is something wrong with flow plugin when you add too many sources one after the other. Maybe the database gets messed up, I have no idea. I am writing this for you guys to investigate further. Now my stream of 100 or so feeds updates from 10 to 10 minutes, no exception. Thus works so perfectly that I am afraid to not break it again

Well…..bummer. Today I saw the stream being marked as OK,did nothing to it. Wen out for about 5-6 hours, went back, the stream was OK, but I saw it not updating. for the past 5-6 hours. I added the new version of the plugin, the same. I then tried to ‘stimulate’ it by ading one word as filter to one fo the feeds. Now it has the ”!” sign for the past hours and does not update. I see no error other than “the cahche is being built….”. I deactivated the plugin, activated it again, now it loads and loads and in the admin area I see the ”!” sign.
So, I did nothing and it crashed….now I can’t do anything to make it work agai for the exact asme sources as were there 9 hours ago. Don’t know what to o next. Any advice?
WHen I previously said there is no cron job was because, I suppose, I just added the newer version and no cron job was created at the time I wrote. Now there is a cron job, but the stream still not working.
Something interrupts plugin form updating after time it sounds like. Caching issues maybe. We’ll try to troubleshoot this
maybe server can’t handle after version update the number of feeds. So you need to re-add all feeds after each update or stay on one version… So stream stopped to update after you updated plugin or before this? We’ll let you know after investigation
It stopped before updating. The flow looked ok, no error ” ! ”, but didn’t update. Now the flow has the error sign, but I see no error message to where the stream is on the page….
The only cache i have is the “PHP cache: Improve php performance with a compiled code cache (XCache). This only provides any benefit for websites using mod_php or FCGID.” Server side. I deactivated it now.
Still not working. I have no idea what to do anymore. If I remove everything like before, and painfully add all sources back again…..then what if it breaks again? What then? Do it again?
Monitoring my server live I notice that the plugin stops putting any pressure on the cpu and ram after a while. Almost like is not even asking the server to check those feeds and update. I see it doing this when I add the sources as I told you before, one by one, but after a few days I am not seeing any ‘stress’ on the server. Maybe the cron job is not executing properly when there are many sources?

No. I did not install anything, it just stopped working even though there was no error sign. Then I updated the plugin via FTP and saw the ” ! ” sign, and as before it did not update. Both before and after the update fo the plugin it didn’t work, the difference was only in showing the ” ! ” sign after updating.

I just purchased your plugin. I have two websites that I manage for a client. Its a parent website and a child website. I solely purchased this plugin to be able to display other WordPress posts. I don’t see any option to add URL of other WordPress website that I manage so that I can display on the parent website. Seems like this plugin does not display other Wordpress website post, just the one that the plugin is installed in. Is this correct? Or am I missing something. I don’t see detail documentation for WordPress options.
Hello, correct, it only displays posts of current site. Though we believe you can utilize RSS to stream other site’s posts.
Thanks for reply. I think this should be more clear that Wordpress feed is not for other Wordpress sites. I would not have purchased this plugin if this was clear. I tried the RSS feed and it works but it does not show the Featured image. I think RSS feed option can work for me but ONLY if the featured image is also visible. Am I missing an option to show the featured image?
