I’m looking for a calendar that will allow customers to see their appointments when they’re logged in, but not see other customer’s appointments. They can not book online, booking must be done over the phone. Is such a display possible?

Yes, the plugin will create automatically WP user accounts for the customers that book for the first time. They will see only their appointments.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I’m writing to enquire about synchronisation of Google Calendar with Bookly. The issue is that the service doesn’t add breaks (pauses) before and after appointments which were initially made in Google Calendar itself rather than via Bookly on my website. However, there are no problems with appointments made directly through the service.

Is there any way to solve this problem? How can I fully synchronise Bookly with my Google Calendar, so that it can add breaks before/after all events?

Thanks for purchasing our product.

Unfortunately Bookly can’t track the breaks for the GC-created events since the padding settings belong to particular service within Bookly and when you create an event in the GC you don’t have the ability to save the service there, so there can’t be information about the event paddings.

I have some questions:

-Can we set up different profiles since we have 3 different barbers?

-When clients book an appointment for a service, will it send a notification to the selected barber as well as the client?

-Will it email/text “reminder” day of or day before for appointment to client?

-Can you set up recurring appointments till infinity?

-Are you able to set appointment schedule so where clients can’t book so far in advance? (ex: only a month in advance versus client being able to book all the way to Christmas or new year)

-Will it let us customize colors of the lay out?

-Can we customize the fonts used?

-Will it allow us to have different services for each barber?

-Will it allow option for client to leave credit card info and for penalty fee to be taken out in case of “no call/no show”?

-Must clients create profile to book an appointment or can they just book with a credit/debit card?

  1. Yes, you can create unlimited number of staff members with their calendars, services, prices for those services and capacity settings.
  2. The following five types of notifications can be sent by the Bookly plugin:
    Notification to a customer about appointment details;
    Notification to a staff member about appointment details;
    Notification to staff member about appointment cancellation;
    Notification to customer about their WordPress user login details;
    Notification to administrators about appointments;
    Evening reminders to a customer about the next day appointment;
    A follow-up message on the day after appointment;
    An evening notification with the next day agenda to a staff member.
  3. Currently recurring appointments are not supported in Bookly.
  4. You can restrict the number of days available for booking. It is possible to set this value up to 365 days (which is set by default).
  5. It is possible to set color of the form Appearance tab. Also, you may change texts and fields titles.
  6. Currently there is no option to customize the fonts, unfortunately.
  7. Yes, you can create unlimited number of services and assign them to staff members you need.
  8. When payment option (except Pay Locally) is/are enabled, customers are required to make a payment online in order to finish booking.
  9. Anymody can book appointment online. No authorization required.

I hope that you can help. You state that each event from Google Calendar is taken into account when displaying available time slots to user in the second step of booking process, at present this is not working and is only taking into account Bookly appointments.

Hi Couple of Questions 1. Is it possible to change the name of headings like ‘employees’ to something else? 2. Rather than having a blanket range of timings from say 9am to 5pm is it possible to set specific ‘course dates’ to choose from? Generally I’m looking for a ‘course booking’ type system. 1) Yes, you can change it in the “Appearance” menu

2) Currently this is not possible, that interval on the first step – is the option for the preferred time of an appointment for the customer.

If you want to use Bookly for courses, bear in mind that recurring events are not supported, the customer will have to book each appointment in part.

Yes, you can hide the whole first step. You need to set it up to have one staff member and a service, and when you add the booking form on a page, just tick all the check boxes to hide all the fields.

I am considering buying this plugin. However, I’d like to see a demo of it integrated with WooCommerce first since that’s the main reason I’d be buying it. I notice that’s not a part of the current demo. Would it be too much trouble to add that functionality to it, or to point me to someone else’s site that’s using it with WooCommerce for me to see? Thanks for the interest in our product.

Currently we don’t a have a demo with WooCommerce, unfortunately. There are some minor differences between them. For the customers – they will redirected to a cart after the third step of the booking form, and also they can add more appointments to the cart (but still need to go through all the steps to add the appointment). For the admin, besides the cartm the payments from Bookly will be disabled, and the payments from WooCommerce will work, so if you need a different type of payment that Bookly doesn’t support you could use this feature.

Hello,

We were using bookly last month and it currently stopped working just now. We were able to make all the steps as to what the documentation had and right now the second step is only displaying No time is available for selected criteria.

Please check time settings in staff member settings.
Also, please try disabling ‘Show time slots in clients time zone’ option in Settings.

I need to increase the “Number of days available for booking” as this is being implemented on a wedding car hire site the appointments could be 2 years in advance. Please can you tell me how to overide the current maximum of 365 days

Tried that … works fine for the settings page in the background BUT the calendar when embedded on the page still only goes 365 before you get the message “No time is available for selected criteria.”

Hi, is there a way to show all appointments in a backend page (or in a private post) ? I have employees (user role) that need to access all appointments and I don’t want to give them admin role. Thanks for your help!

Hello. I tried to use the bookly system on my mobile phone and it is not working (on either safari or on google chrome). My website is selfbx.com. On the customer portal, when trying to find an available slot, is it possible for the calendar to display availability for multiple service providers simultaneously? If so, how do you change the settings in the admin section?

Currently there is no such option implemented in Bookly. Even with ‘Any’ value selected in employee, Bookly will automatically select random staff member before showing available time slots.

When someone books an appointment, the emails do not go through to admin. Please let me know how to fix this.

It fixed it on that site. I removed bookly off the other site I had it on and put it on a new site with this code

However, it won’t allow me to book appointments on the new site. I tried both purchase codes and neither one will work on this site. When I try to book an appointment, i get this error: No time is available for selected criteria.

I have tried every setting I can think of and it still says no time is available. Please help!

I try to add a new client from within wordpress but it adds someone and then immediately deletes them. I try to book an appointment from within wordpress but it acts like it’s going to book it and then it doesn’t. So, I can’t get it to book appointments from the website or from the back end.

Sync from Bookly to Google Calendar is not working correctly. For instance, an appointment made for 12:00PM on Bookly appears on Google Calendar as 5AM. What can I do to fix this?

A usual problem is that the time zone in Google Calendar differs from the time zone set in WordPress General Settings. Make sure that they are the same in your case.
I would advise to use for the time zone settings – a city instead of the hours (WordPress -> Settings -> time zone) , this may happen because some countries have summer/winter time. If you don’t find your city in the WP, check which city is in the same time zone.
