Is the plugin Retina Ready?

Short answer is Yes. The plugin only makes use of CSS and font-icons to build the layouts so it will be retina ready.

Is the plugin compatible with Multi-Site installations of WordPress?

Yes. The plugin will work on WordPress Multi-Site installations. The best way to install this plugin in a multi-site setup is to install it as network admin, but activate it as blog admin.

How do I update this plugin?

When a new update comes out, make sure you read the update description log on the bottom of the plugin’s page at codecanyon. After reading, you can decide if you need the update or not.

If you decide to update, here’s how you can do it:

Update via FTP – This is the safest way. If you have access via FTP to your site files, you can replace the plugin files with the updated ones. Just go to wp-content/plugins/interactive-world-maps and replace the files with the ones on the zip of the updated plugin.

Update via Wordpress Admin – From the tests performed, you can deactivate and delete the plugin on the Plugin’s administration page of Wordpress and upload and active the updated files. This operation should not affect the entries you have already made. However, we recommend the FTP solution, because it’s safer.

How do I place a testimonials layout in a widget area?

To place a testimonials layout in a widget simply generate a shortcode for the layout you want and place it in a text widget. The text widget will render the shortcode.

The read more link / single page entry are not working! What can I do?

If when you open a single page it returns a ‘Page Not Found’ error, it’s possible that the permalinks are not working well. Go on Settings > Permalinks and save the settings again, even without any changes. This will make the permalinks option update.

Another possible problem is conflict of slugs. If you have a page with the same ‘slug’ (permalink name) of the Testimonials Showcase, the single pages might not work properly. You will have to change or the slug of the page/post or the slug of the Testimonial entries, in the plugin settings page.

The information is displaying, but not with the layout I choose! What can I do?

If this is happening, the most likely cause is that your theme is missing the wp_head() function in header.php and/or wp_footer() function in footer.php.

The single page opens in a post format! How can I change this?

Since this is a plugin and not part of your template, by default the content of the single page will open on a post template. If you want to change it to a page template you should create a copy of your theme’s page.php and name it to single-ttshowcase.php. This way the single page of a member will open in a page format.
