Hi, 1. It can display a picture in “No public” mode ? (except Recipe) 2. It can display a a logo for “Organization” ? thanks for your reply

Hey asdmar, 1.: Yes in most cases. But not every schema.org types (and Rich Snippet) shows up a picture. However, in most cases, you can link to it anyway.

2. Organization schema.org syntax supports a logo. However, Google will not show this data as they force you to use Google+ instead.

Hope this helps.

Hello wpbuddy.

I have a presale question.

I want to use your plugin in a review theme that already has in built rich snippet (and user voting), but I think yours is more complete. What if I use two functions rich snippet on a same theme?

Thanks

Hey josenlanube, and thanks for your comment. First the Rich Snippet Plugin does not support a “user”-voting. Instead it allows so called “review-ratings” which allow you to rate your own “things” (for example: you rate something that comes up IN your content). A user rating (in most cases) will rate the whole blogpost instead.

What exactly would you like to achieve with the plugin?

Greetings

Thanks for your response wpbuddy.

I want to use rich snippets with recipes. I thought in your plugin to complement my theme´s in built review system. May be I´m wrong and I don´t speak english and I can explain it well :). For that I did suppose could be some conflict between features.

Hey josenlanube, English is not my mother-tongue, too ;) So that’s alright ;)

As you can see in this example it’s possible to show the recipe snippet together with the star rating snippet. However: in this example the rating is integrated into the recipe snippet. So I don’t know if it’s possible to show a rating and a recipe snippet when they are not integrated together. It seems that you have to test that on your own.

Hope this helps anyway.

I need aggregate rating (without showing name of rewiever or other). If i use your plugin it allows to user to vote with stars or just add code to show MY rating for google?

In other words…: users can vote or i can just add my rating from wp dashboard?

Thanks

Hey PaoloDeGregorio, and thanks for your comment.

You’re right: the plugin does not support to let the user rate (so it’s not a rating plugin). Instead it allows to set your own rating via a shortcode.

Hope this helps.

Hi! I would like to buy the plugin. If I setup a Rating snippet of a page in wordpress. How can visitors vote?

I just bought the plugin. One question, I installed the plugin, a rating snippet for my home page. How can set it up so that normal visitor can’t see the code on my home page but the code is working?

Can I also create 2 votes on 1 page?

Hey creative shops. And thanks for your comments. First: the Rich Snippet Plugin is not a rating plugin. That means that users cannot interact with it. If you need a plugin where users can vote please use the Purple Heart Rating Plugin or (for comments): the Comment Rating Plugin. But that doesn’t mean that you cannot setup a rating yourself. If you want to include a “no public” rating as a shortcode please have a look at my “No Public” Rating example.

Hope this helps.

Hiya, is it possible with this plugin to create video rich snippet of video hosted on google drive?

Hey wofhdm, and thanks for your comment. Hope you’re doing well.

Sure you can build your own video snippet maybe with the VideoObject from schema.org. However I don’t know if you can link that to a video hosted on Google Drive as I don’t know the exact HTML code that you use to integrate a video.

Hope this helps.

hello

what about video spinner?

and does this generate sitemap ?

1.
what about video spinner?
What do you mean exactly by this?

2. No it does not generate a separate Sitemap page if you mean this. The reason for this is that it is a Rich Snippet and not a sitemap plugin ;)

One potentially noob question :) Do I need your plugin if I am using rich snippets function from Yoast SEO? I mean – what is the additional value?

Thanks!

Oh, I don’t know exactly what Rich Snippets the Yoast SEO plugin produces. I think it only creates a rich snippet for breadcrumbs, doesn’t it? My plugin however can create every Rich Snippet that is supported by Google at the moment. You can even build them yourself with the built-in Shortcode-Generator. There is an example page here if you like to see more.

Hope this helps ;)

Hi WP-Buddy, just bought your plugin, thanks for it. Is there a way to produce a snipet showing “traditional” review (stars, reviewed by, etc) PLUS a small photo? I was trying your code for “Product” version of review, but it requires many additonal datas (price, etc etc). I simply need to have many reviews on my pages (of individual products) and a photo in snipet would look great… Thanks! JR

Hey Jryb, sure you can do nearly everything with the plugin. However you need some coding skills if you want to customize it the way you like it ;)

Maybe you can tell me exactly what attributes you need and I will create an example for you, if this helps you out.

Greetings

Hi and thanks for you kind suggestion! Generally, I was thinking about traditional review format (with just me as a reviewer), eg showing starts (8 of 10, for instance), name of reviever etc, plus a Photo of the product(a camera, for instance)... I saw photo in product snippets (without stars), or photo and cumulative stars from many reviewers (recepies), but – yes – not the combination I just mention, perhaps google would not show it anyway, although it should be possible according to schema.org system… (Second option is – at least – to have stars AND a small photo of me from Google authorship, which I use succesfully. I saw this option, but it does not work right now with my pages.)... Thanks a lot! Jan

Hey Jan,

and thanks for your comment again.

Unfortunately I don’t know exactly how Google’s algorithm works for Rich Snippets. So you never know exactly if and how they show your snippet in search results. I know that this is bad but it’s the same thing with SEO: you never know exactly what to do. It’s just guessing sometimes ;)

Plus: That it works in schema.org doesn’t necessarily mean that Google will show it ;)

I think what you’re looking for is the normal “Product review” that you can find on my example page: Review on a product example It should then look like this. However it does not show a picture of your product. As far as I know Google only shows product pictures for recipes at this point in time (like you can see here.

Hope this helps ;)

I can’t find shortcode .. _ help me..

can i used it ?

Rating: 5 - ? 1 review - ? Rp.95.000 - ? In stock

Hey rafleta, and thanks for your comment. Hope you’re doing well.

Just go to the settings page and edit the rights/roles for someone who can edit the shortcodes (like you see it in this screenshot). If this doesn’t work, please open a support ticket here providing temporary access to your blog.

Greetings

hello i have plugin allow users to add post anytime ,does this plugin how can i force the uses to add it in every post they do?

can i but the plugin by default in every posy automatic ??

Hey aboode114, you can’t force the user to use a rich snippet. A user has to include it himself. So it’s not possible to add it automatically with every post because it works with shortcodes and the user has to actively add this shortcode to the post.

Hope this helps.

can i use it for software like : softonic?

Ah, okay ;) Sure. You can, but Google doesn’t show software applications at the moment. It only shows products (or apps) in search results.

Here is example. Or this example.

thanks, but more sites shows it like [softonic.com] , i need its features : software category, os and price .

Yeah. If you’re familiar with HTML you can build your own shortocde using the SoftwareApplication schema.

Hi Wpbuddy, nice plugin! To everybody, this plugin works and is very useful – very good for add different types of snippets shortcodes!!

Thanks Wpbuddy, keep the good work! K. :)

Thanks a lot, K.! Really appreciate your comment! ;) Thanks very much. If you want to see your testimonial on my website, too, please send me an email with your name, URL and text! ;)

Hi! How to make data Rich Snippets not displayed on the page of my site? But only in the search engines.

Hey alburlak, and thanks for your comment. In this case you have to use the meta-HTML elements instead of plain p,div or span elements. There is an example on my website (hidden product).

Hope this helps. Cheers! ;)

Hey wpbuddy,

I’m not very advanced with this part of SEO yet, so I don’t really know what I’m currently doing. I have some software that I sell, and I want for the product pages the same rich snippets as on this screenshot: http://cl.ly/image/311q1M1o0Z30

So I want a rating including a price and also availability if possible. Could you please advice me how to realize this with your plugin?

Thanks!

Youri

Hey Youri, and thanks for your comment.

The first thing that I have to say is: It’s up to Google how your Rich Snippet will show up in search results. For example, some product rich snippets have a picture, some not. It’s different with almost every snippet.

With my Rich Snippets Plugin it’s possible to create a product rich snippet that includes a review (see code example here). But I don’t know if Google will show up the stars when you make the rating yourself. In most cases the star rating is calculated out of the users rating. For example, WooCommerce uses this on their product pages.

But you can try and test how Google show it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Wpbuddy,

Thanks for your reply. So I just have to place the shortcode with the snippets I want to get indexed and show up in Google and hope Google will do it the way I want it?

If so my question is answered and I just place the shortcode and wait what Google does :)

Hey there again, yes, that’s right. What you do is to check your page with Google Rich Snippets Testing Tool. If this tools shows the snippet it normally should appear in your search results, too. But as I said in the comment above: there is still no guarantee…

Side note: if the Rich Snippet Testing Tools shows some errors (in red) this has (in most cases) something to do with your theme. I wrote an article about that and how to solve it but in German language only (sorry).

Hope this helps anyway ;)

Hey, i have bought your plugin and tried to add it to different posts. i have used style visibillity hidden to hide the test from the postpage. I have also tried to integrate ekomi ratings into serp. Any idea how that works?

Thanks,

Hey Davidos, I’m not quite sure what you want to achieve.

The example you’ve mentioned is “hidden” because it uses the meta HTML element which does not get rendered as an output in all browsers. So you can use that to make it visible to search engines but not to the end users.

Hope this helps.

I bought the Plugin. Installing was easy but I have one Problem. I cant hide the Shortcode. The Shortcode is permanently visible as a text.

Is there a way to hide it?

Greets, Felix

Hey flxstrk, and thanks for your comment again. What exact shortcode are you using? One of the examples that come delivered with the plugin?

Just tell me what shortcode you’re using and what data you want to show and what you want to hide and I will send you the exact code ;)

Hi buddy, thats very very nice! Attributes i need: Phone-number, address, Rating, and a Image in front of the searchresult.

Greets, Felix

Yo, not a problem. For the address shortcode you can use this code (create a new shortcode maybe named “Address (no public)”: No public address

The no public rating example can be found here.

If you want to use the telephone number, too: You can create your own organization shortcode like in this example: Organization (no public) example.

If you want to have your own profile picture in search results, check out my Google+ Authorship WordPress Plugin (there is a free version available, too). Note that you need a Google+ account for this.

Hope this helps.

Pre-sale question. What about breadcrumbs and local business? It seem this plugin dose not support it, isn’t? If so, is there an example about? Thanks

Hey ferux, breadcrumbs are not supported at the moment because it needs a deeper integration into the theme that you’re using. Otherwise it will look pretty odd. But: you can build your shortcode with schema.org if you’re familiar with HTML a little. This should be pretty easy then. You can watch this video if you’re interested in how it works.

Hello WP buddy, i have created a shortcut from your youtube video for a rating and integrated it on a site. The webmaster tool tells me that it is correct. but i see it now also on my page. Is there a way to dont display the shortcode output on the website? Thanks. Davids

Hey Davids, and thanks for your comment.

Yes there is a way. Especially for the rating I have a sourcecode example named “No public rating” online on the Rich Snippet Code Examples page. You can just copy&paste it into the rating shortcode that you’re currently using. It does not display anything to the public but will be found by Google.

Hope this helps.

Will this plugin works for woocommerce products?

Thanks

Hey PILOTUSA, and thanks for your comment. Yes, it does. But only when you add the shortcode to the product text area. Please note that the product rich snippet is already included there. You can read more about this in the Pre Sales FAQ on my website.

I am really having a hard time with getting the snippets to work. In the google snippet preview it works fine:

http://www.google.nl/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.samplesolutions.eu%2Fuk-rdd-sample%2F

but in the google search it does not show up:

https://www.google.de/#q=uk+rdd+sample

Hey Scapegoat1, and thanks for your comment.

Yeah, I know that this is hard. The thing is that it’s up to Google. If they want to show your snippets in search results, they will show it. If – in any case – they don’t want to show it you will not find it there.

On my example page I have the same issues. Sometimes the snippets show up and sometimes they suddenly disappear. The thing is that no one knows the exact algorithm when a snippet will show up.

So sorry that I cannot help you out on this. If the snippet works on the Rich Snippet Testing Tool everything should be fine and Google should show it on search results, too. But – as I said before – there is still no guarantee.
