Hi Codspacing, Progress Map is causing some sort of issue with my Valenti menu bar. It is blocking the top part of the images, so we are unable to click on the X to close them http://imgur.com/9ENqcyI The menu bar is also supposed to stay attached to the top but this is how it behaves while the plugin is active http://imgur.com/wQTV9Fk Any way to fix this? Couldn’t find any issue caused by Progress Map! Please go to “Troubleshooting & configs” and select the following options, then, try again:
1. Loading scripts & styles => Seperate files (Minified versions)
2. Bootstrap (CSS File) => Disable
If nothing changed, please deactive Progress Map and contact me again, because i need to see how it works without it.

I’ve tried what you suggested but there were no changes.
I have now disabled the progress map, and now the menu bar is behaving as it’s supposed to, so clearly it’s something related to the plugin.

I have a question regarding the carousel. Im using projects to show on my map, some of the projects have featured images and other dont.
How can I setup that projects that dont have a featured image dont show on the carousel, but still stay visible on the map and map filter?

Thanks for the feedback on the carousel issue recently. I have another issue as this plugin is causing a conflict with my Wrodpress theme and stopping the TABs feature working for my menus. I have disabled as many options to load scripts in the Progress Map plugin as are allowed in the admin area, but unless I disable the plugin completely the tabs in the theme do not work. An example page where you can see the tabs is here: http://www.meejana.co.uk/london/menu-london/. The theme is ROSA.
Please advise if there is a workaround, or a patch I can apply to get the theme and plugin working together.

Hi - I have added the map to the page, and the tabs are still not displaying the content. The RAPIDE tab (first tab) displays correctly, but when you click on the others (MEZZE, MAINS, etc) the content appears empty (does not toggle the display selector) although the content is on the page but hidden. I am using what should be the correct short code to insert a map into a page with all post types that have map data. So far, nothing is showing up.
The documentation reads like it was written by a robot. It does not speak to a human being who wants to understand the steps that are needed to execute your plugin. You know, a usage case. What you want to do is walk someone through the process who is NOT a developer, who is a normal person that has normal goals, like adding pins to a map.
How do you do that please?

I bought this plugin so I can add a nice MAP to a website with all of the locations world wide where my client has gyms. Each one has its own photo.
Can you help clarify the technique to add multiple locations with unique images on a single map?

Back up plan i am hoping to do is to come up with a geo locator box.. that would ask the user to type their location or gets its location automatically and show the merchants/ store location nearby. Here’s an example of the shortcode to use to display a category of posts:
[codespacing_progress_map post_type="post" tax_query="category{10|IN}"]
In this shortcode, you need to change the ID “10” by the real ID of your category. To display posts of multiple categories, use the IDs this way (tax_query=”category{10.11.12|IN}”)

How does the map link to posts? I have the map populating from a post type “dispensaries” and that works just fine. However when I click on the “more” link how does the plugin find the page? Sometimes it finds exactly what I expect, a post with a similar name and so that is how I have used it. However sometimes the “more” link will link to a random articles/post and not the one it should. How can I specify which post/article I want the “more” link to be go to?

Hi there my zip code search doesnt work properly in german language, only if i put the zip-code with language prefix into the search field (e.g. de-48789) instead of standard 48789.

The problem with a zip-code is that it is not unique. A zip code (eg 48789) can be attributed to several cities in the world. Try a test on https://www.google.com/maps/ with the zip-code 48789 and you will see that the result will display a list of cities which may have the same zip-code.
How to solve this problem? You will have – at least – to add the name of the country after/before the zip-code, otherwise, the search engine of Google Maps will not be able to find the place you’re looking for.
In the plugin, there’s a hook that will allow you to add text before and/or after the value of the search field. For your case, you can use this hook in order to add “de-” before the zip-code. Here’s the code you need to add into your theme’s “functions.php” file:

Hi Again..and thank you for the quick reply. End of story for the Nearby Places plugin. On the other hand.. would this be possible using the progress map…. I create customized buttons called CATEGORY… each category will show different sets of places.. filtered maybe using tags,slugs or taxonomies.. j’ai importé via le plugins “Really Simple CSV Importer” plus de 650 lieux, l’importation à bien réussi.
Les lieux + catégories sont bien crées.
Lorsque je visualise sur mon site tout les articles sont bien présents.
Mais lorsque je passe en mode importation via .csv les points ne sont pas visible sur la maps.
Si j’édite l’article et clique tout simplement sur “Mettre à jour”, l’article est bien visibile dans la maps
je lance quelque requet sql et toujours le même soucis, je dois obligatoirement passé par le back office et faire “Mettre à jour” (https://www.example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=112&action=edit)
alors la les lieux s’affiche bien dans la maps
Je ne sais pas si c’est lier avec le plugins Progress Maps, mais j’ai quand même voulu avoir votre avis

Hi, Love this plugin, but there’s one detail I’m wondering that can be corrected? We are using the map with a custom post type and custom category taxonomy. We need the faceted search to be exclusive rather than inclusive. ie: show items that are in both Category1 AND Category2. Currently it is showing items in Category1 OR Category2, so the more you check, the more locations show, rather than narrowing the search. Ideas? Thanks! Michelle
