Hi Support team,

I’m currently experiencing a performance issue with the Progress Map, List & Filter – WordPress Plugin. When using the filter feature, for example by selecting a category and clicking “Filter,” the process triggers a call to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, which takes around 20–25 seconds to complete.

During this time, users only see the “Loading…” message, which significantly affects the user experience.

Could you please advise if there’s any recommended optimization, setting adjustment, or known fix to improve the filtering speed?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Following up on my previous support request from 10 days ago. Also sent you an email. Thank you.

Hi,

I am looking for a WordPress plugin. In which I can list Health Holiday Retreats. Search and Filter system.

When you click on the Retreat it will take you to the page.

Would require a custom filters.

When you click on a item does it take a person to a page?

I sent an email earlier from kellie@napavalleybiketours.com. Confirming, I enabled debugging mode.

Hello, I am having an issue with displaying results from the Progress Map, List & Filter Plugin. Everything seems to be working properly before refining the result. When I select an option to filter, I get “We couldn’t find any results!” I am using Progress Map version 5.8 and Progress Map, List & Filter version 3.7.4. Our site is an internal password protected site. Note filter does not work if the site is made public. Here is a link to a screen shot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, would it be possible to make all the featured images the same height (cropped) in the list that appears below my map? Could you point me to where I can adjust this setting, or suggest some CSS to achieve it? Thank you!

Hello,

To resolve this, you need to regenerate your featured images so the plugin can generate its own image size with the correct dimensions. Please refer to this guide for instructions: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/troubleshooting/fix-the-issue-of-small-featured-images/

Thank you

Pre-sales question: we have a site with currently around ~2000 addresses, saved in a custom post type, with Geodata in an ACF meta field; we’re planning on doubling this number within the year. Would Progress Map be able to search and filter these and display on multiple maps, filtered by categories, sometimes by location or language (Polylang Pro) with acceptable speed? Thanks!

Hello,

Yes, the plugin can handle 2000 locations and more without issue. It’s built to manage large datasets smoothly.

As for geodata stored in ACF, you can connect the plugin to the latitude and longitude fields you’ve saved in your custom fields. The plugin will also allow you to search and filter locations by categories, and you can display multiple maps across your site.

Regarding Polylang Pro, while I haven’t personally tested the plugin with it, I’m confident that compatibility shouldn’t be a problem. Filtering by language may not be natively supported, but displaying locations based on the current language should be achievable.

You can check out two example maps that display a large number of locations here:

1. Progress Map: https://codespacing.com/progress-map-demos/map-with-a-large-number-of-locations/

2. Progress Map + List & Filter: https://codespacing.com/list-filter-demos/map-with-a-large-number-of-locations/

Thank you

We’re experiencing issues with the keyword filter functionality. See stage site at https://37896857c2.nxcli.io/real-estate-property-listings/industrial-for-lease/ (keyword filter is at bottom of left sidebar). Normally, if we search for a keyword that appears in the title of a property listed, for example “Metro”, then the results update accordingly. But now we always get “We couldn’t find any results!” regardless of the keyword searched.

We’re running the Infinite Theme from Goodlayers (see https://themeforest.net/item/infinite-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/16869357) and as part of that theme there are plugins including the Goodlayers Core that extends functionality. It looks like the latest version of Goodlayers Core plugin (2.1.5) is conflicting with the keyword filter functionality of the Progress Maps. Their changelog is found here https://support.goodlayers.com/document/changelog-goodlayers-core-plugin/

When we revert to Goodlayers Core plugin 2.1.3 then the keyword filter functionality works again (see our live site at https://www.buzzoates.com/real-estate-property-listings/industrial-for-lease/). We’ve reached out to their support and wanted to reach out to you as well.

Please advise.

Hello,

Apologies for the delayed response. Which version are you currently using? I just tested the keyword filter and it’s working correctly on my end. If you’re using version 2.1.3, please update to version 2.1.5 and reach out again so I can check the issue directly.

Thank you for your patience

Hello, if I have more than 300 places to insert in the map, is it not possible to upload an Excel file? or do I have to add them all manually?

Thanks

Hello,

Apologies for the delayed reply. To import places onto the map, you’ll need to follow the same process used to import posts into WordPress. This can be done using the default WordPress import tool. Please note that the plugin does not include its own import feature. You can find more details on how to import places in this guide: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/tutorials/import-export-your-map-locations-between-wordpress-websites/

Thank you for your patience

Hello,

Yes, I’m aware of these warnings and I’m currently working on addressing them. Updates will be released progressively over time.

Please note that these warnings are simply notices intended for developers to help keep code up-to-date. They are not actual errors and will not affect the functionality of your map or your website in any way.

Also, they are entirely unrelated to the issue you mentioned in your previous messages.

Regarding your filters, i’ve just checked your site and tested both the map and the filters, and everything appears to be working perfectly. I couldn’t find any issues with the filters.

It’s possible this might be a caching issue on your end. Please try clearing your site cache and browser cache, then test it again.

Let me know if the issue persists after that.

Thank you

Hi, I have some Problems with my Filter Plugin. Please help me!

Hi, we are having issues when filtering and changing page on the pagination. The filtering options becomes unclickable and it is stuck on Loading.. , sometimes we can see the results but we cannot do anything because the loading is still going. We tried changing the Theme, disabling the plugins trying with new map but the problem persists. Here is a link to our page https://brief.dynamicsintl.com/.

Hello,

Could you please enable the plugin’s debug mode so I can investigate this issue? You can follow the instructions in this guide: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/troubleshooting/enabling-the-plugin-debug-mode/

Alternatively, you can send me your site login details at plugin.progressmap@gmail.com, and I’ll check it more closely. Don’t forget to mention your username (It-dynamics) in your message.

Thank you

Hi, we fixed the issue by removing the JS code that ads the class to dim the background on loading. We knew it was a front-end issue because the data was loading in the background, but the JS did not remove the class after filtering so we just removed the code that ads the class.

Hello,

I’m glad you’ve managed to fix it.

Thank you

I can create a custom filter in the backend but it’s not visible in the front end.

Please help!

Hello,

Please send me the login of your site to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com to check your map settings. Please mention your username (vitelglobalb33) in your message.

Hi, does this plugin work with multiple post types on the same map?

Hello,

The plugin supports multiple post types; however, you cannot display two post types on the same map. You can create multiple maps, each dedicated to displaying a single post type.

Thank you

Hello, we’re having an issue with the plugin getting stuck on “loading” when viewing posts, particularly when going to the next page. The site in question is iwanttotalkthemovie.com Here’s what we’ve tried so far: 1. Upgraded all 3 plugins to the latest versions; but that didn’t fix the issue. 2. Disabling all the other plugins does not fix the issue, so it shouldn’t be a plugin incompatibility. 3. Using a different theme (not Divi) doesn’t fix the issue either, so it shouldn’t be a Divi incompatibility. 4. The pagination isn’t the only issue that’s causing the results to get “stuck” on the “Loading” message. Doing a keyword search or a date filter both also cause the same issue. 5. This issue did appears on mobile and both desktop browsers I tested (Chrome and Edge). 6. I created a new “test” map and the issue still occurred, so the issue isn’t specific to the map. Any ideas on what might be causing the issue or how to fix? Thank you.

Hello,

I just reviewed your site, and everything seems to be working fin – the map, the list, and the filter are all functioning properly. I couldn’t replicate the issue you described in your message.

I’ve recorded a video for you to review here: https://screenrec.com/share/DgsS8zoey5

It appears to be a caching issue on your end. Please clear your site cache and browser cache, then try again.

Thank you

I still want to use “Map, toggle carousel from bottom” even using this List and Filter plugin. How can I do it?

In the list and filter settings, is there a way to not use the “filter button” and make it automatically filter as they click on a check box?

For desktop, is there a way to uncollapse/unexpand categories on page load just like on mobile? Thanks.

Hello, I’m wondering if it is possible to default check a categorie in my filter. I build it based on categories (3). On page load it would be nice to default check 1 categorie. Is dat possible? Thanks in advance! Nathalie

Hello,

We have installed the Progress Map plugin on our website (https://lovett7dev.wpenginepowered.com/), but when I try to change the description from the Carousel Items Settings tab, the changes do not reflect on the carousel items on the frontend, and it’s not working properly.

Here are the screenshots for your reference that we trying to make changes:

https://prnt.sc/QtrIyM6OxK90 https://prnt.sc/1v4INq4eR1U9 https://prnt.sc/OcHW14ijl3pt We have also installed the Progress Map, List & Filter plugin to display category and location filters with the map, but it’s not working. Could you please provide detailed documentation on how to add item location and category filters to the Progress Map using this extension?

Here is the page URL where we have added the map: https://lovett7dev.wpenginepowered.com/properties/

Additionally, here is the URL for accessing the website backend for a detailed check: https://lovett7dev.wpenginepowered.com/wp-admin/?wtlwp_token=ef6c519bd40b9d7b498558970906a86a9179cd62b1fc0f16d99633c8389f3efea2340227f75166f56d02b6d83d567efe4bea9f3403c2680261e4adb39eb928fa

Please check this issue and either resolve it or guide us on how to fix it.

Let us know if you need any additional information.

Thank you. Astoundz Team

Hello! Great plugin! Simply great! I just have one problem: where can I set the categories to be displayed in the search? https://www.ulmer-spickzettel.de/zukunft/

Hi! In the Search Filter settings in the list, I created four fields, but only three are displayed on my website. Everything is set correctly. Is this an error in the code?
