Hello! Great plugin! Simply great! I just have one problem: where can I set the categories to be displayed in the search? https://www.ulmer-spickzettel.de/zukunft/

Hi! In the Search Filter settings in the list, I created four fields, but only three are displayed on my website. Everything is set correctly. Is this an error in the code?

Hi. I did follow your documentation and did the setting to hide empty taxonomies but as you can see https://staging.davenues.com/toronto-developments-2/ the filter still shows the 0 locations and developer on the left side.

Hi. How can I hide the empty taxonomies (LOCATION and DEVELOPER) for this list? https://davenues.com/toronto-developments-2/

Hello,

You can hide empty terms from the taxonomy field settings. To do this, go to “List & Filter,” edit your taxonomy, and select “Yes” in the “Hide empty terms” field. More details can be found in this guide: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspml_guide/search-filter-settings/filter-posts-by-taxonomies/

Thank you

With the custom field filter, is there a way to set the order for the options within each custom field? For example, one custom field I have is “Breakfast served” with the option of “Yes”, “No”, “Unknown” which is the order I’d like them displayed. However, I only seem to be able to do ascending or descending order which makes it “Yes, Unknown, No” which is an awkward way to label that.

Hello,

To order the custom field value, you have several options. Edit your custom field, open the “Query Parameters” widget, and select one of the available options in the “Orderby Parameter” field. For more details, please refer to this guide: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspml_guide/search-filter-settings/filter-posts-by-custom-fields/

Thank you

Thanks. I got it to order the way I want but I don’t understand why. I played around and ended up with “Order by related post id” and that ordered the way I want it to but I have no idea what that phrase actually means.

Hello,

The “Order by related post ID” option determines how custom field values are retrieved. From the custom fields table, values can be retrieved by the post ID, title, slug, or date. For example, if you use the “Order by related post ID” option, the query will fetch custom field values in the order of the post IDs. This means if the post IDs range from 1 to 10, the custom field values will be fetched starting with post ID 1, then post ID 2, and so on up to post ID 10. The same logic applies if you choose to order by title or any other option.

Thank you

Hi. I installed the plugin on our website, and it works great. However, I can’t access page 2. Even though I have three pages.

Hello,

Please send me the link to your map to check it out.

Thank you

I’m looking and can’t find anything. The categories aren’t displayed for selection. How can I change that?

Hi! In the Search Filter settings in the list, I created four fields, but only three are displayed on the website. Everything is set correctly. Is this an error in the code? http://www.ulmer-spickzettel.de/zukunft/

Hi! We have the info box activated but it only shows up sometimes when the map loads… see here https://7bc.b71.myftpupload.com/?cache=0

Hello,

I tested your map on different browsers, and the infoboxes loaded correctly in all cases. Could you please record a video showing the issue you’re encountering or provide the steps to reproduce the problem? This will help me understand and address the issue more effectively.

Thank you

Hello! Great tool, I have a question: when I’m in desktop mode, the categories are automatically shown as “open” when filtering. When I view it on my phone, the categories are automatically closed. Is it possible to have them displayed as “open” on the phone as well?

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. I just returned from my vacation.

To keep the filters open on mobile, please edit your map and add the following CSS code as outlined in this guide: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/customize/customize-the-map-using-your-custom-css-code/

@media (max-width: 992px) {
    .cspml_fs_item_container div.cspml_fs_options_list {
        display: block;
    }
}

Thank you

hey it works only with add “important” to me. thxx

Is there a way to move “Zoom to Countries” from the map to the Filter options similar to the way you can move the Search Form? Having to create a custom field and entering a country for each post seems redundant when the functionality is obviously already there in some form.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there’s no way to move the “Zoom to countries” feature inside the filter. Please note that this feature is a navigation tool designed to allow you to move between countries on the map, rather than a search functionality. Even if it could be moved elsewhere, it would still only serve its original purpose of navigating the map from one country to another and would not enhance the filter functionality.

Thank you

Is there any way to swap my subscription for List & Filter to one for Markers Filter?

Hello,

Unfortunately no. You’ll have to purchase a licence for “Markers filter”.

Thank you

Hi, I’ve been experiencing a bug when using the filter, the titles and texts are getting cut off as seen in this image https://snipboard.io/bjpE4i.jpg this is happening in the following url https://www.jklandholdings.net/properties/ after clicking on the checkboxes and pressing filter.

Hello,

I’ll try to fix this issue in the next release very soon.

Thank you for your patience

Hello again,

Could you please send me the login details for your site to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com? I need to apply the necessary updates to your “List & Filter” and ensure that the fixes work correctly. Please mention your username (orangefuze) in your message.

Thank you

Hi there,

Pagination is not working on my map located at: https://cbhphilly.org/members/provider-directory

I have been troubleshooting the issue and am hoping for some guidance. After filtering out any options, clicking on ANY of the pagination links resets the entire search and every item is available. So if a particular search returns 4 pages of items, clicking on any pagination link resets the entire search and I always see the full count of pages (which is 64).

I tried disabled caching on this page with no luck.

Thanks, Beth

Thank you for your update! I am glad you verified the issue on our production/development sites. It’s quite strange.

One final thing: The issue does not occur when viewing the site logged in. I thought it might be a caching issue but I had our hosting provider turn off caching on the production site URL (https://cbhphilly.org/members/provider-directory/) and it has not solved the problem.

I emailed you login credentials to cbhphillydev.wpengine.com

Thanks, Beth

Hello Beth,

I just sent you en email.

Thank you

I just responded to your email. Thanks!

Good morning, on my website sitorcheologiditalia.it I have installed the Progress Map plugin with Addon List & Filter. Everything was working great until recently. For some time the maps have no longer been displayed (they remain in a permanent loading state) and the search filter also doesn’t work. When you use the filter, in this case too it remains in “loading” but the results are not loaded.

Hi,

Unfortunately, it’s not loading again.

Thank you

ok. I spoke to my hosting, but they write that the site is properly accessible worldwide. However, they must check if IP blocking has been activated in the server’s firewall. I would need your local IP, Could you give it to me so they can check it?

It doesn’t seem like the problem lies with IP blocking. As mentioned previously, I had some friends test your site from their end, and they confirmed that it isn’t loading. However, if sharing my IP address could assist in resolving the issue, please send me a private message at plugin.progressmap@gmail.com with your username (roberta_aku) mentioned, and I’ll respond with the details.

Hi, I have Wordpress 6.4.3, Progress map v.5.7.1, List & Filter v.3.7.2 and unfortunately the Girid layout does not work in Listing. I change the number of items in the line and save it and nothing changes.

Regards Igor

Hi,

Upon reviewing your website, it appears that you have disabled “Bootstrap”, which is causing the CSS issues you are experiencing. Please follow the steps below to enable Bootstrap, and then try again:

1. Click on the menu “Progress Map”.

2. Click on the menu “Troubleshooting”.

3. Scroll down to the section “Disabling Stylesheets & Scripts”.

4. Select the option “Enable” in the field “Bootstrap (CSS File)”.

I hope this helps.

Thank you

Dear codespacing team,

Is it possible to pre-filter a map?

I would like to pre-filter the posts based on a specific category and tag. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a URL-based solution; I am also comfortable with coding. I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

I am looking forward to your reply!

Kind regards

Hi,

To pre-filter posts based on specific categories or custom fields, you can adjust the query settings within the “Progress Map” settings page. For further details, please refer to the comprehensive guides available at https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/query-settings/

If you need to achieve functionality beyond what the plugin offers, you can utilize the WordPress hook “pre_get_posts” to customize query parameters according to your requirements. Here’s an example code snippet to get you started:

function modify_list_and_filter_query( $query ) {
    // Check if we're on the desired page by ID
    if ( is_page( 'your-page-id' ) ) {

        // Modify the query as needed
        $query->set( 'orderby', 'date' ); // Example modification, change 'orderby' parameter as needed
        $query->set( 'order', 'DESC' ); // Example modification, change 'order' parameter as needed

        // Modify tax_query
        $tax_query = array(
            array(
                'taxonomy' => 'your-taxonomy', // Replace 'your-taxonomy' with your actual taxonomy
                'field'    => 'slug',
                'terms' => 'your-term', // Replace 'your-term' with your actual term
            ),
        );
        $query->set( 'tax_query', $tax_query );

        // Modify meta_query
        $meta_query = array(
            array(
                'key' => 'your-meta-key', // Replace 'your-meta-key' with your actual meta key
                'value' => 'your-meta-value', // Replace 'your-meta-value' with your actual meta value
                'compare' => '=', // Change the comparison operator if needed
            ),
        );
        $query->set( 'meta_query', $meta_query );
    }
}
add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'modify_list_and_filter_query' );

Replace ‘your-page-id’ with the ID of your desired page, ‘your-taxonomy’ and ‘your-term’ with your actual taxonomy and term, and ‘your-meta-key’ and ‘your-meta-value’ with your actual meta key and value.

Make sure to adjust the parameters according to your specific requirements.

I hope this helps.

Thank you

Yes, thank you!

Hello

I would like more information: - How can data be uploaded to the map? - Is it necessary to be on a paid Google API? - What is the difference between https://codecanyon.net/item/progress-map-list-filter-wordpress-plugin/16134134 and https://codecanyon.net/item/progress-map-wordpress-plugin/5581719?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi,

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Data Upload: You can upload data to the map by manually entering new posts with coordinates. You find more about adding entries to map at https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/adding-new-locations/

2. Google API Requirement: Yes, the use of Google Maps API is required for our Progress Map plugin. While some basic functionalities may work without an API key, certain features such as map display and geocoding will require a paid Google API key for optimal performance and access to advanced features. Please check this guide for more details about all required APIs: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/first-steps/create-an-api-key-activate-the-required-apis/

Differences Between Plugins:

- Progress Map Plugin: This plugin is primarily focused on displaying (custom) posts/pages (as markers) on a Google Map. It’s suitable for various use cases such as highlighting points of interest, displaying custom data, and more. The emphasis is on flexibility and customization of map markers and their associated information.

- Progress Map List & Filter Plugin: This plugin allows you to display and filter listings with associated markers on a Google Map. It’s ideal for showcasing locations such as real estate properties, restaurants, events, etc. The focus is on integrating map functionality with dynamic listings and filtering options.

Both plugins offer powerful features to enhance your map-based projects, so the choice depends on your specific requirements and the functionality you need for your website.

If you have any further questions or need clarification on any aspect, please feel free to ask!

Thank you

I forgot to mention that “List & Filter” is an extension of “Progress Map,” and to benefit from the features provided in “List & Filter,” you’ll need to install both “Progress Map” and “Progress Map List & Filter” plugins.

Hi I have a pre-sale question, is your plugin compatible with Motopress Hotel Booking to be able to filter rooms by its amenities or attributes? https://motopress.com/products/hotel-booking

Hi,

I’m not familiar with how Motopress Hotel Booking operates, but based on their demo, it appears that the plugin utilizes its own schema for listing rooms and processing reservations. It might be challenging to integrate our plugin instead. In this case, I wouldn’t recommend using our plugin.

I hope you find the solution you’re seeking.

Thank you for your interest.

Hi, the tutorial from https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspml_guide/tutorials/display-progress-map-search-form-within-the-filter-area/ does not search with restricted countries on settings. how do I search only within the countries specified on options? I’m hoping you could respond soonest.

Hi,

In order to restrict the search to specific countries, please check this guide: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/autocomplete-settings/restrict-the-autocomplete-search-to-particular-countries/

Thank you

Hello :) I have a Problem with the Plug-in i googled and read the doc but i cant fix it…

Please check the url: https://www.wohin-mit-kind.de/spots/

the check box filter (cant click / activate them) and the keyword search doesn´t work. “it displays loading (at keyword search… but nothing happens) also the markers and the maps are not visible…

the api is working fine.. please help!

i have fixed it, it was a problem with the theme. is it possible to use more filtering options? I need a radius search. so that you can say filter1 and filter2 which are from location x within a radius of distance x.

Hi,

Yes you can. In your case, you need to use the Progress Map’s Distance search ( https://codespacing.com/progress-map-demos/general-overview/ ) + the filters you need ( https://codespacing.com/list-filter-demos/filter-search/combine-all-the-filters/ ). Please note that you can display “Progress Map” search distance search within the filters area. Check this guide to see how to do that: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspml_guide/tutorials/display-progress-map-search-form-within-the-filter-area/

Thank you

Hello, I have the following problem when displaying the post list with the lists and filters plugin, I get the following message in the description (Lorem fistrum for the glory of my mother esse jarl aliqua take me to the sircoo. From the ullamco prairie what did you say This is a very bad thing. /!elementor – v3.17.0 – 08-11-2023 */ .elementor-heading-title{padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1}.elementor-widget-heading . elementor-heading-title[class=elementor-size-]>a{color:inherit;font-size:inherit;line-height:inherit}.elementor-widget-heading .elementor-heading-title.elementor-size- small{font-size:15px}.elementor-widget-heading .elemen), how could I solve this problem.

Hello, we purchased the progress map and filter plugin but when we load the shortcode on a page and try to filter our projects we are met with an admin-ajax.php error which makes us unable to test said filters. The first time it worked fine so there is no reason for this error. We would like to open a support request for this issue

We’ve already tried: - disabling all non-essential plugins - re-saving our theme and plugin settings - resetting the markers - re-adding all our filter fields - checking the posts for issues

Is it possible to set up a quick call or to look into this issue

Hi,

Please send me the link of your map to check this.

Thank you

Hello,

Is it possible to either (a) allow for a custom number field to be displayed via the List Item Description with commas, for example instead of 1000000 it would display 1,000,000 or (b) to add a custom container class to a custom field being pulled into the List Item Description, for example the number from said custom field might be 1000000 when output to HTML.

And if we can only add a class to a custom field in the List Item Description by programmatically changing the content of the list items (as seen on https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspml_guide/tutorials/programmatically-change-the-list-items-content/) then how would we pull in taxonomy slug for a custom post type to fit with the default list item content format?
