Hello, My boss purchased this product and when I installed it, it looks like when you close the user chat tabs and open them again, the chats are not displayed anymore. Isn’t it supposed to work like the history tab wherein when you click the name of the user, the chat messages are displayed? I need to hear from you how to fix this.

You can easily translate the widget via the administration panel (Settings tab). However, administration panel itself doesn’t have translation support and it would need to be translated by editing HTML files manually.

It would definitely require some work. At least the controllers layer would have to be rewritten. Probably also database abstraction class and authentication. Depends on how much integration you need. Unfortunately, if you’d be planning to do so, I wouldn’t be able to assist.

Yes, you can use it on pure HTML website. However, your server still needs to have PHP & MySQL in order to install the backend.

does it support RTL? how about multi languages ?
Unfortunately, this version doesn’t support multi-language use, but the recently released “Pro” version (the $29 one) does support multiple languages in a single installation. Additionally, it has full translation support (for both widget and administration dashboard), so I would recommend the new version instead.
About RTL – there’s no special setting for it, but this could be done by adding a single attribute (dir=”rtl”) to the root HTML tag (you could contact me after purchase for help with this).

Hi, I have installed it on my web. It went fine until I tested it. After 1 or 2 chat the live chat on customer computer was suddenly offline, even tough the operator still online. Please help.

That’s correct. The HTTP request also keeps the logged in user alive and checks the status of online guests.
That means that the chat consumes the resources of the hosting faster than normal.
As I do not have a super hosting, to have the chat the web page and the entry of the emails does not work well because while the chat is open the hosting works very slow for lack of recourse.

Such mechanism is used to allow for maximum compatibility – thanks to that users with older browsers are able to use the chat and the application’s back-end can be installed on any server without special features or permissions.
Please note that such HTTP requests are made only by chatting users – if a visitor doesn’t log in to the chat, widget doesn’t make any periodic requests to the server.
This version supports cross-domain usage, so you could install the chat on another server and just embed the widget on your main website. That way, the chat wouldn’t affect your main server’s performance at all.
hi can i chat with client on my iphone or any device and can this do random call agent?
Unfortunately, administration panel doesn’t have support for mobile devices. Only visitor’s widget does. Mobile application for operators is currently under development.
I’m not sure what do you mean by “random call agent”. All operators are notified of new user messages and any operator can talk to the visitor and answer his questions.

You can create multiple operator accounts (application doesn’t limit that in any way).
If, however, you refer to the ability to create multiple separate live chat service accounts for different clients using a single installation, that, unfortunately, isn’t supported. The only option to offer the application to multiple clients it to install a separate copy for each of them (each using a separate database).

Unfortunately, only regular licenses are currently sold. If you’d like to offer the application to your clients, you’d need to purchase a separate license for each of the clients you offer it to.

Hi there, thanks for great script. Anyway I have the problem related to changing the password by the operators. They cannot change the password, nothing happens. Operator can change their e-mail/name, but cannot change their password which is still the same (as Admin created). Why, and what could be wrong in settings? Admin panel works good…

I’ve read in the feature description that PHP Live Support chat would support Desktop Notifications. Those would be great to notify our agents of incoming chat messages because they cannot constantly monitor the browser window for new conversations.
However, I did not find a way to enable the Desktop Notifications and found no reference to that in the documentation either. How can these be enabled?
(We cannot just work with the new message sound and no other notification of new messages)

Edit: I see that the browser asks for it now. Didn’t work properly in Chrome but now does. It’s a pitty that notifcations do not work in Chrome based apps such as Rambox though Maybe that’s an idea for a next release?
