Hello. Is it possible to use parameters to select an item of interest? Example: I want to send a person to a page with a London Map as the start and Cafes already selected.

Hi,

Yes you can do this using the shortcode attributes.

Thank you

Hi, can i make a map with google api that can show places i choose that are around geolocated customer?

Yes you can. Here’s an example:

[cs_nearby_map geoloc="yes" places="school,hospital"]

You can see the list of all possible values in the plugin settings page under the field “General settings / Place types”.

For more info about the shortcode attributes, please visit the page http://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/nearby-places-wordpress-plugin/nearby-places-documentation/

Now its working but the css its a little bit off

Please send me the link of your map to check this.

Hi, how can I set the map to auto geo location and not giving places only for London. Thanks.

I’ve put parameter geoloc=”yes”

Hi,

Please use this shortcode instead. Copy/paste it in the “Text editor” of your page not the “Visual editor”. Sometimes, the problem could be with the double quotes:

[cs_nearby_map geoloc="yes"]

If this doesn’t work, please send me the login of your website to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com to check this. If you’ll do so, please don’t forget to mention your username (Ant0ni0411) and this conversation in your message.

Thank you

Hi,

We wanted to understand if it provided the ability to search withing a specific distance i.e. Vineyard within 10 miles of Prague.

Does it provide the following capabilities.

Sincerely,

Neel

Hi,

Yes you can see this in the demo page http://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/progress-map-wordpress-plugin/ . If you click on the search (magnifying glass) button, you’ll see how it works. You specify the address and the distance, then, the map will search for any location within that radius.

Thank you

Hi There, this plugin seems ideal for what I’ve been looking to do, but I was curious whether it works with Canadian addresses?

Hi,

Yes it’ll work with Canadian addresses.

Thank you

Pre-purchase question:

is it possible to customize the nearby places category icons? Is it possible to only show certain categories (is it an option to check only gyms, restaurants, parks – for instance?) ?

Hi,

1. Yes you can customize the icons.

2. Yes you can choose the categories to display.

Thank you

license key for nearby places: afa4228d-6ec0-414c-a747-0aec87d44325 license key for progress map: 15eaf370-2bbc-4097-94a0-8b107aebb8ca

I have installed on http://new.americantobaccocenter.com/neighborhood/ but not sure why the margin OR padding on the right hand side. it is in a container that doesn’t have padding or margin and I see the -15px margin on the col elements, but didn’t want to use a tacky solution with injected css. Can you recommend a fix?

Map isn’t working, I need to refresh the page after initial load to load map on desktop, not loading on mobile no matter what.

Hi,

Please send me the link of your map to check this.

Thank you

This plugin does not do what I thought it did. Is there any way I could get a refund?

Hello, 1. there are a lot of Place Types, but i want to add some special types such as “hobby shops” etc. would you tell me how to do ?

2. Map center is defauct ‘51.53096,-0.121064’ , how to set the customer location by default?

Thank you.

Hi,

1. You can’t add your custom Place types. Please note that the places types used in this plugin are all provided by the service Google Places and they’re already limited.

2. You can use the following shortcode:

[cs_nearby_map geoloc="yes"]

This will allow the user to target their location and to dislplay all nearby locations.

Thank you

Hello,

I found your plugin is can not create a custom place type(e.g. hobby shops), therefore I can not use it, How should I apply for refund now?

Thank you.

Hi I bought the Progress Map, Now for this one, I noticed that it doesn’t have all the places on each category. i.e. When I choose Gas station close to an address in Toronto, I see one of the 5 Gas station which also it is not the closest one.

Is there any thing I deon’t see on your Demo version?

Thankls

There is something wrong with this plugin. This is what I see on Google map about school around a point http://prntscr.com/ethsh0 And this one is what it shows on your plugin . http://prntscr.com/ethstk Although when you Zoom in more on the demo plugin, it shows the school, however not on the list. http://prntscr.com/ethszu

Any way you can fix it? I bought your other 2 and need to have this one too if works

This is URGENT!! I have purchased this extension and install it on localhost to develop for my client. And layout of the plugin is not in the way that should be. Place list is on top-left when Map is on bottom-left and not in full width when the configuration is pl-mr. What is this? I’ve tried to do {display: inline-block; } and total layout just messed up. Please answer.

Hi,

This could be a CSS conflict. Please go to “Troubleshooting & configs” and select the option “Bootstrap => Disable”, then, try again. If this doesn’t work, please send me a screenshot of your page to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com. Please mention your username (pknonnk) and this conversation in your message.

Thank you

number of places looks like fewer than map on google.com. why is this?

Hi,

If you scroll down the list, you’ll see that the plugin loads more results. All the results provided by Google will be displayed at the end.

Thank you

Hmm, it’s not?? I’m talking about number of pins. I see bunch of schools around my place on Google but on your map, only few of them.

send me your address, your link on Google and i’ll check this myself.

Hi, we bought the Nearby Places plugin and we were wondering if there is a way to trace the route between a post marker and one of the places. Currently, it seems we can only get the directions between the user and the places by using the Geolocalisation.

Hey,

The post displays just fine on the map, but every time we click on “Route” or on one of the places, the “No driving directions could be found to your destination.” error message pops up.

Hi,

The message “No driving directions could be found to your destination.” simply means that Google Maps doesn’t provide route to that locations. It’s an information sent by Google itself to inform us that they don’t have any route directions to that particualr location.

Sometimes, you can have driving directions to a specific destination but no walking directions or transit directions … to the same destination. We can’t do anything about this. We’re just trying to make use of the informations provided by Google.

Thank you

Hey,

It’s working now, there was something wrong with our configuration. Everything is working fine for the directions now, thanks for your help!

Hi, my page is not displaying the google map properly with the [cs_nearby_map] shortcode, my website is: http://martinchow.ca/property/1200-anastasia-avenue-coral-gables/ also, is there any way I can pre-specify an address in the post instead of having the visitor typing in the address or geolocating? Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Can you please watch this video tutorial ( https://youtu.be/rjEefIWrUmc?t=58s ) and confirm that you’ve already done the same thing with your properties?

Thank you

Thanks I have watched the video. However, I mainly work with Nearby Places plugin and only install Progress map so Nearby Places can use it. Therefore I need to use the Nearby Places shortcode (and hopefully with latitude/longitude attribute in it) Thank you!

So, if you use the fields “Laitude” & “Longitude” of the metabox “Progress Map: Add locations” of “Progress Map”, the plugin “Nearby places” will also make use of them. If you use the nearby places shortcode [cs_nearby_map] (without the attribute “post_ids”) in your property single page, this one will automatically fetch for the coordinates in the fields “Laitude” & “Longitude” of that property, and will use them to display its position on the map as a marker.

I hope this will help.

Hi. Nearby Places and does not work does not appear any extra function, nor is it shown by inserting the short code. I have also installed Redux Framework and nothing, still not working.

Hi,

You did have bought “Progress Map WordPress Plugin”, right? If so, please send me the login of your site to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com to check this. Please mention your username (gijon) and this conversation in your message.

Hey

Is it possible to sort the list of places in alphabetical order ? I think we can sort them by category but I haven’t found anything for alphabetical.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there’s no option to sort the places.

Thank you

Hi,

We’ll be fine without sorting. It could be a nice feature for a future update though.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, thank you again for the update. If there is a sorting option based on distance from target location that would be great. Also, can I turn off the photos on the left of the list of places? Thank you very much for your help and for the great plugin!
