Hi there!

Your Progress Map Wordpress Plugin and Nearby Places add-on look perfect for what we’ve been trying to find. We want to have a way to show a single business and nearby points of interest to that business, with a list of what those nearby points of interest are along with distances from the initial business.

I have 2 very big concerns though before I buy:

1. Do you actually provide any support? I see tons of unanswered support messages in your Comments section on all of your plugins, and no other support method such as email or ticketing available. That is obviously a big concern, especially if there are any important issues that need to get addressed such as security issues or compatibility issues with future WordPress updates.

2. Is your Nearby Places add-on mobile friendly? In your demo, it looks like when the user taps “route” on a point of interest, it does not take the user to the map to actually see the route. They have to manually know to scroll there, which is very confusing and makes the “route” button almost useless on mobile since most users will just think that the button did not work.

Most internet usage is mobile these days, so mobile compatibility is extremely important.

I hope to hear from you, especially to make sure that support actually exists.

Thank you!

I purchased, but I cannot figure out how to add the Nearby Places map to an Elementor page. Is there now just simple shortcode to do that?

I created a page with the “Nearby Places Modal”, but there’s no explanation about what to do with that to make it usable on a page, and the page I set that template on completely fails to load.

I’m not seeing any documentation, directions, or videos that explains how to make this work on a page like it does on your demo. I assumed it would just be a simple shortcode and settings, I just want to embed the Nearby Places map on a page like any other map, and have it show various points of interest around the main address and the routes/distances from the address.

I got it to pop up on an existing map when you tap a location on the map, which is not at all how the demo shows it working (the pop up method does not make any sense). How do I just get it to load on a page like an other embedded map?

Hi, I am interested in your plugin and and to know if I can add electric vehicle charging stations located in Australia using Google place api. If this plugin allow me to just add ev charging stations category right in the bankend without any hardcoding implementing. I will definitely want to purchase. Thanks

Hello I want to ensure you are still replying to support requests. I have sent several emails and am not getting responses.

I am HAPPY to renew my software license immediately after I hear from you. I do not expect you to help me for free. However I am getting a lot of errors from Nearby Places extension and need some help with this error:

PHP Warning: Attempt to read property “ID” on null in /home/customer/www/bigskyapartments.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nearby-map/cs-nearby-map.php

Hello,

Sure, you can send me your site login details at plugin.progressmap@gmail.com so I can take a closer look and make sure to include your username (wwc96) in your message. However, please note that you’ll need to renew your support in order to continue receiving assistance. Renewing support is essential to proceed.

Oh yes, of course. I had mentioned I would and now is a great time. I will do so immediately. My pleasure!

Hello,

Thank you for renewing your support. I’ve just responded to your email, please check your inbox.

Thank you again

I purchased this product, but the nearby places icons are not displaying in the site where I am trying to use it.

Hello,

I’ve checked your site, and the reason the map isn’t working appears to be due to the use of “defer” on the jQuery script. This can prevent other scripts that aren’t deferred from functioning properly.

Unfortunately, I can’t determine the full scope of the issue just by looking at the browser console. To investigate further, please send your website login details to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com, and please mention your username (shane318) in the message.

I’ll be happy to take a closer look and help resolve the issue.

Thank you

Hello, I had emailed the provided email address with the login credentials, but I have not heard back yet. Is there any update?

Hello,

Apologies for the delay. I’ve just had a chance to check your site and found that the issue was caused by a bug in the plugin related to the default markers. I’ve switched your map to use custom markers, and everything is now working correctly. I also added a test location to your map so you can try it out. Just click on the marker, then select a place type from the list, you’ll see that everything functions as expected. I’ll include the fix for this bug in the next plugin update.

Thank you for your patience

Hello, I am curious if this plugin (in combination with the progress map plugin) will automatically populate entries into the map. I don’t want to have to automatically input points of interest in the map; rather, I really want a map I can put into certain “Area” pages of my site that allows users to filter through what they are interested in seeing in that area. The locations I would want to implement the maps are all in and around Central/East North Carolina, USA

Hello,

Regarding the “Nearby Places” add-on, all locations are sourced from the Google Maps Places service, meaning you won’t need to manually input any points of interest. The Nearby Places map enables users to discover points of interest near a specific location (in “Progress Map”, a location corresponds to a new post) or near their current position.

For example, if you have a location in Carolina, you can use “Progress Map” to set its position on the map by creating a new post and defining its coordinates. You can then place the Nearby Places map anywhere on your site, using the Carolina location as the starting point for nearby searches, as shown in this demo: https://codespacing.com/nearby-places-demos/find-nearby-points-of-interest-of-a-single-post/

Alternatively, you can allow users to search for nearby places anywhere on the map, as demonstrated in this demo: https://codespacing.com/nearby-places-demos/find-nearby-points-of-interest-to-a-given-address/

Thank you for your interest

Hello,

cheers

Hello,

Could you please confirm whether the “Autofit” option is activated? If it is, deactivate it and try again. You can refer to this guide for instructions on how to enable or disable the Autofit option: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/map-settings/extend-the-map-bounds-to-contain-all-markers-clusters-autofit/

If the issue persists, please share the link to your map so I can take a closer look.

Thank you

We have been using this plugin but it seems it has some problems with GTM. GTM is not firing. Can you please check?

Hello,

Could you please provide more specific details about the issue you’re encountering with the plugin? Additionally, it would be helpful to know the steps needed to reproduce the problem on my test site. Any extra information you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hello,

Please help me!

I want a particular airport to be shown when I click on a nearby location. How can I ensure that only airport-related data is displayed and not helipads?

For example, when selecting Pune as the location, I want only the airport to be shown and not any helipads.

Dear Support Team,

I am currently using your plugin and have encountered a deprecation warning in my WordPress installation:

Deprecated: Function Redux::setExtensions is deprecated since version Redux 4.3! Use Redux::get_extensions( $opt_name, $path ) instead.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? I would appreciate any assistance or updates that might address this warning.

Hi, I’m considering this plugin for my website. It is important to me that I can center the map around a specific location, and it appears that is possible via the center_at argument in the documentation. There is no description of what that argument does in the docs. Will that argument create a focus point for the map and show nearby places to that spot? Is it defined via latitude and longitude or address?

Hello,

The nearby places map shortcode is designed to automatically detect the current post and display a marker on the map based on the location coordinates provided during the creation of that post. This shortcode also includes the attribute “post_ids”, which allows you to display any post of your choice on the map by providing its ID. The “center_at” attribute, which you inquired about, lets you override the default map center, which is usually the position of the current post or the post ID specified in the “post_ids” attribute. The “center_at” attribute can accept either latLng coordinates or another post ID. However, this attribute does not allow for displaying nearby places around the new center; it only overrides the default map center. The nearby places map will show all available nearby places around the current post or the post ID defined in “post_ids”.

Here are the different ways to use the [cs_nearby_map] shortcode:

1. [cs_nearby_map]
– This shortcode will detect the current post, display it on the map, center the map on its location, and display nearby places around it.

2. [cs_nearby_map post_ids="10"]
– This shortcode will fetch the location of the post with ID 10, display it on the map, center the map on its location, and display nearby places around it.

3. [cs_nearby_map center_at="51.510879,-0.117813"]
– This shortcode will detect the current post, display it on the map, center the map on the coordinates “51.510879,-0.117813”, and display nearby places around the current post.

4. [cs_nearby_map post_ids="10" center_at="51.510879,-0.117813"]
– This shortcode will fetch the location of the post with ID 10, display it on the map, center the map on the coordinates “51.510879,-0.117813”, and display nearby places around the post with ID 10.

5. [cs_nearby_map center_at="2"]
– This shortcode will detect the current post, display it on the map, center the map on the coordinates of the post with ID 2, and display nearby places around the current post.

6. [cs_nearby_map post_ids="10" center_at="2"]
– This shortcode will fetch the location of the post with ID 10, display it on the map, center the map on the coordinates of the post with ID 2, and display nearby places around the post with ID 10.

Thank you

Good afternoon, has transferred everything except the nearby places plugin. He say that it is the only plugin that has given him a problem. Is there something he is doing wrong? Can someone assist us with this problem? Do you have any documentation on transferring plugins from one site to another? Do we have to purchase another license key?

hey! in the picture of the plugin is the info:

“can be used with post types & users location”

but i thought i can show these “locations” that are post types in the filter or as nearby spots. but your documentation says after download it doesnt work?

is there an option to filter and select a “perimeter”? like show all filter results that are in the next 5 miles? PLEASE HELP :) thanks

Hi,

Of course you can use it with users location. Here’s what is mentioned in the plugin details page:

“The plugin was designed to be used with the posts/locations added from “Progress Map”. It also provides a powerful search form that allows the users to target their position or to enter a given address, then, display all nearby points of interest.”

Please note that this plugin is designed for displaying Google Maps Places/Spots nearby your posts and your current position.

Regarding your question, you can use the distance search of “Progress Map” to display all posts/locations within a given perimeter. Please check this guide for more details: https://www.docs.progress-map.com/cspm_guide/search-form-settings/display-a-search-form-on-the-map-to-find-locations-within-a-specific-distance-of-an-address/
