For the Medium-to-WP feature, I don’t see an option to add the cookie token to view paywall content. Or do we also need to create an app ID to get it?
Hello,
Currently the Post to Buffer feature works only with API key, I will work on an update for the plugin to add also cookie posting method to it, I noted this idea.

Looks like this isn’t updated anymore
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me.
The plugin is still functional, it did not needed any updates to keep it functional.

Can the plugin upload images from the WP post to Medium?
Hello,
Currently the plugin cannot upload the images to Medium, it will link them from their original source. However, I noted your suggestion for upcoming updates for the plugin.
Regards.
But the plugin needs an API key – and Medium doesn’t provide them any more …?
Hello,
Integration Tokens and API settings can be found in the ‘Security and Apps’ menu of Medium settings: https://medium.com/me/settings/security
Please check at the bottom of the menu: https://i.ibb.co/h0H9XpN/image.png
Regards.
Nope: https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us/articles/213480228-API-Importing Unless you already have tokens, you can’t create new ones.
Oh, right… bummer, sorry, I was not aware of this.
So, the plugin can be used only if you already have tokens…
I noted this.
Sorry again.
Regards.
I fear this is the beginning of the end for Mediumomatic. Maybe you can figure out another way.
Yes, I noted this. Alternative would be scraping. I check.
Hi Szabi, if I have already uploaded from my website a post to medium, are there any possibilities to update that automatically on medium after I make changes in my original post on my website?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Gyurci
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me.
Sorry, but currently updating existing posts on Medium is not possible, only uploading new ones.
However, i noted this idea, will think on it for upcoming updates for the plugin.

just a pre purchasde question, can this be ran on multiple websites ? also can it post to multiple medium accounts ? if there is an affiliate scirpt placed in the artcile it is going to post from wordpress to medium, does it remove the script or does the script show up ? will medium via this posetr allow youtube vids as well? thanks in advance, paul
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me.
1. A single license of the plugin can be used on a single website/domain.
2. Posting to a single Medium account is supported at the moment.
3. The affiliate script can be removed, you can check the ‘Strip JavaScript From Crawled Content’ checkbox from the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ menu for this.
4. Yes, YouTube videos are allowed.
I hope this info helps.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Pre purchase question:
1) Is there any limitations of how much posts can i import from Medium per user/page/category on daily basis?
2) Suppose if a user has 10 posts, and I have set to import daily 5 posts from that user. What happens once it imports 10 posts? Will it repost the same content or resume when the user posts new content?
3) Is the image copied locally or from Medium server? And is it possible to import comments and claps?
Feedback: Kindly please update Medium logo on product image
Hello,
Hello, thank you for contacting me.
1. Because of Medium limitations, currently the plugin can import a maximum of 10 posts from the posts published on a user/page/category from Medium. However, when new posts will appear on each of these pages, the plugin will automatically import them. The main limitation of the plugin is that it can import retroactively only 10 posts from Medium.
2. The plugin will resume when the user publishes new content, it will not republish the same content twice.
3. Currently images from post content cannot be copied locally, however, if you need this feature, I can add it as a payed custom update for you, let me know if you are interested. Comments and claps cannot be imported, as Medium does not provide this info to the plugin.
I hope this info helps.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Thanks for quick response, for the first question you mentioned “plugin can import a maximum of 10 posts from the posts published on a user/page/category from Medium”
So my question is: 10 post at a time or overall 10 post per user/page?
Or just 10 post per day?
10 posts retroactively. This means that if you set up the plugin today and point it to a Medium user account, it will import 10 posts for you right now and no more other posts. However, if the user publishes new posts, the plugin will be able to import all new posts which are published, at a schedule.
Regards.
Hi Szabi,
could You solve to import the claps with the articles? If yes, we can sort the articles in our side with date and popularity.
Best regards,
George
I checked and Claps and Views are importable only if we render the page in a headless browser first (the default scraping will not show this info, as it is loaded using JavaScript, in the user’s browser).
Sorry for this, but this is not possible using the default settings from WordPress, you need to install puppeteer on your server, which is a headless browser.
Regards.
Hi Szabi,
it’s great news. Can I use for that Your HeadlessBrowerApi service or I have to install Puppeteer manually on my server?
Best regards,
George
Ok, this can be made possible using any of the above 2. But still, a custom update is needed for the plugin, to make it scrape also the additional info. Please contact me at my email kisded@yahoo.com for details.
Regards.
Hi Szabi,
I’m trying the demo and for this url: https://medium.com/tag/discipline/top/year
the downloaded body content is minimal and also there is a link: Continue reading on Medium »
Maybe, I don’t know something about the plugin. : )
Could You check it, please!
Best regards,
George
Hello,
Please be sure to check the ‘Try To Get Full Article Content’ checkbox from importing rule settings, this will scrape the content of articles from Medium directly: https://ibb.co/hXxm8yb
Let me know if this helped.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Hi Szabi,
it is very possible, that I blind. : )
I can’t find this checkbox on your demo website. I’m using mediumomatic, not Your other plugin.
Would You check it, please!
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
George
Hi Szabi,
I have found something. : )
Your plugin does not scrape the full content only if the url has this format:
https://medium.com/tag/discipline/top/yearFor this type fo url @useraname everything works well, except the double featured image, but currently I don’t care.
Best regards,
George
Hello,
Sorry for this, the demo had an older version of the plugin installed.
I updated it now to the latest version, you will find the checkbox I mentioned, please check.
Regards.
Hi Szabi,
thanks, now, it is working well!
Sorry, but my 2 other questions:
1. I need the filter for example: top/year or top/all-time
This is in end of the url: https://medium.com/tag/discipline/top/year
Your plugin currently ignores that part of the url. Could You solve that for all the filters?
2. If I use several imports with several tags or filters does Your plugin check the duplicates from the previous but different imports?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
George
I am glad to hear that it worked.
1. Well, currently getting the top/year part of the Medium pages is not possible, however, I noted this and will check on it, if I find a way, I will let you know. However, I am not sure if Medium provides an API for getting this type of content.
2. Yes, the plugin will filter duplicates even if they come from different imports.
Regards.

Hi Szabi,
it would be nice if Your plugin could import saved articles.
I have tried in the demo and got this error:
Error in parsing Medium feed (custom method): cURL error 22: The requested URL returned error: 404 for https://medium.com/feed/@username/list/reading-list!
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
George
Hi Szabi,
the previous test was on the medium default saved article list, which I found out is private. I have created a none private list, sadly the error is similar:
Error in parsing Medium feed (custom method): cURL error 22: The requested URL returned error: 404 for https://medium.com/@username/list/testlist-6a607ec852bc/feed!
Best regards,
George
Please send me the URL of the demo site where you got this error and I check on this.
Regards.
Hi Szabi,
I have checked, that links only works if I have logged in. So maybe this route will not work with Your plugin.
Best regards,
George
Ok, I understand. Sorry for this not working the way you need it.
Regards.
Please support the url of the tag, for example: https://medium.com/tag/sports
Hello,
Thank you for sending me this idea, I updated the plugin to v2.0.3 and added this ability to it. Now you will be able to insert also tag URLs like https://medium.com/tag/sports to import posts.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Hi, I purchased this plugin but I can get it to work, I’m trying to pull from medium to posts but I get this erro in the log: Error in parsing Medium feed (custom method): cURL error 22: The requested URL returned error: 404 for https://medium.com/feed/"user!" thx
Hello,
First of all, thank you for your purchase.
Please send me temporary admin login credentials to your site, so I can check on this issue. My email is kisded@yahoo.com
Also, please let me know from which Medium user would you like to import content, so I can test it in the plugin on your site.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Working now. I had not added the integration token, since I thought that was only for posts to medium, but once I added it, it worked like a charm. Thx for the quick reply btw!
Ok, I am glad to hear that it works!
Cheers!
I mailed medium for their api access and this is what they replied back everytime (I tried sending the request again after they rejected with the same reply and still got same reply). Here is what they replied.
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
We don’t allow any new integrations with our API.
The Medium API is only available for an integration token for use with third-party writing applications, such as:
iA Writer Ulysses
Check your Medium settings page’s “Integration tokens” section to generate your token.
Read more here.
Thanks, Lucius User Services
Hello,
Thank you for the heads-up about this, indeed, Medium API changed and they enabled the use of a self-issued Integration Token (this was not there the last time I checked).
I updated the plugin to v2.0.0, I added the ability to use the new Integration Token in the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Medium Integration Token’ settings field.
After you add this into settings, please go to the plugin’s ‘Posts to Medium’ menu and click ‘Get Publication List’ to get your publications list where you can post content using the plugin.
Let me know if this update helped.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
I so want this to work for me, but it seem Medium is no longer giving out developer access for third party integrations? is there any way to use there token integration or does that mean this plug in cant work?
Hello,
First of all, thank you for your purchase.
Have you tried contacting Medium and asking for API access?
In my case, I was granted API access after I sent an email to yourfriends@medium.com with the following content:
Hello,
My name is Szabi - I would like to get access to the Medium API. I saw here: https://github.com/Medium/medium-api-docs - that I need to send an email to get access keys.
This is me on Medium: https://medium.com/@szabikisded
Thank you.
Regards,
Szabi.
Let me know if this info helped and if you got API access from them.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Hi, not have any problem for the use of the original content, create for other in my site?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me.
The plugin supports the usage of text spinners like SpinRewriter, The Best Spinner or WordAI. These will be able to rewrite imported content and make it unique. Please check this video for an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7m3cGX3ZOY
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Does this plugin set canonical links when autoposting from Wordpress to Medium?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me.
No, this feature is not included in the plugin. However, if you wish to get it, I can add it as a payed custom update for the plugin.
if you are interested, please contact me at my email kisded@yahoo.com
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Can I use this plugin to get posts from Medium and import to my WordPress? I want to get posts from this: https://medium.com/flutter-community And I want to translate posts into my language. Can I do with your plugin?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting me.
Yes, this is possible using this plugin. However, first, you will need to get access to Medium API, because they restricted it, and you need to ask for access from them first. Please check this video for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km_KZwvusyc
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
I don’t want to use Medium API. I just try to get content with your other plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/mastermind-multisite-rss-feed-post-generator-plugin-for-wordpress/20214579?s_rank=3 The rss link is: https://medium.com/feed/flutter-community but the result is bad. Can I use your another plugin?
Ok, I recommend this plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/echo-rss-feed-post-generator-plugin-for-wordpress/19486974
I just tried as you recommended. It works fine. Thank you so much!
I am happy to help.
Does this plugin allow for selecting posts with a creative commons license?
Hello,
Unfortunately, the Medium API does not provide this functionality, because of this, this plugin will also not be able to filter articles by CC license.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
how can i display post in grid?
Hello,
First of all, thank you for your purchase.
I am not sure if I understand your question. Can you explain to me, please, what you would like to achieve?
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Please delete.
Hello,
Is this issue related to the plugin? If yes, let me know, please.
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Hey,
This looks really cool. However, I have a few questions:
1. Would this work with a static WP site? I use getshifter.io. On the backend you can install any plugin, but once you deploy an artifact (i.e. a static site), there is no server connected. However, you can still have some live content through things like RSS feeds and iFrames. For e.g. I have tried this plugin and it works with static sites (but yours looks better): https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-medium-posts/.
2. I’m also very interested in the in-built spinner/synonymizer, could you please give more details how this works? I don’t care about API spinner services, but what I’ve been looking for for a long time is a simple source code that will use a self-hosted thesaurus to spin similar words.
Thank you very much
Hello,
Well, to be honest, I haven’t tested this plugin on fully static sites until now, but the general idea behind it is that it creates posts regularly, exactly how a human would create new posts. So, if the static site allows you to create new posts (anytime), and displays them instantly, than this plugin should also work on it.
Regarding the spinner, yes, the built-in spinner has a local thesaurus, and searches for known words, and replaces them with their synonyms. This is the entire principle behind it.
If you haven’t done it so far, please feel free to give the plugin a try on it’s live demo page: http://coderevolution.ro/mediumomatic-test/mediumomatic-test-generator/
Also, please check it’s video tutorial, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpVAg_uKuw8
Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Thank you very much. Will let you know if I have any other questions
I’ve got this installed, and connected. It posted one article successfully, however now, whenever I try and publish from Wordpress to medium, it says it posted, however it hasn’t
Nothing in the logs.

Hello,
First of all, thank you for your purchase.
Can you send me, please, temporary admin login credentials to your WordPress install, so I can check this issue out? Send it, please, to my email address: kisded@yahoo.com.
Please specify your issue with the plugin also in the email (because I get multiple similar emails), so I know what I should check.
Thank you. Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.
Hello, I’ve installed the plugin but am having trouble in two spots; 1) I can publish to the “profile” pages on Medium. However, I can’t seem to pull in publications I have listed on Medium into the plugin list to select as publishing options. 2) Is there a way to prevent new posts on a specific page on my site from autopublishing on Medium, but keep autopublishing for the other pages? Much thanks!
