Hello I’m having trouble importing the entire zip: codecanyon-jlDmNT2R-instagram-journal into wordpress via the wordpress “File Manager”. It appears in the Plugins directory but not in the cockpit “plugins”. Could something be causing the error? Matt

I use php 8.0 and latest WP installation.
In plugin setup there is only “basic setup” visible to add Access token. If I add something in the field nothing happens.

Managed to install the plugin (would be good if it was the normal upload zip method instead of FTP). I am using the token I generated and the user ID but I keep getting the 400 error. Are there any instructions I can follow, the ones included with the download don’t show the procedure for generating the user token and I am wondering if that is different from how I have done it (for a different Instagram app that is working fine). I also thought the app secret is required but there does not seem to be anywhere to enter it. Anyway, some clear instructions would help, sorry if I have overlooked them but I could not find anything relating to generating the token

1. Yes. You can do two different shortcodes to create two rows of photos. However, the platform doesn’t support doing two rows with a single shortcode.
2. You can use hashtag filtering to filter your photos via hashtag. Or you could alternatively use hashtag search mode to search the entire api for a specific hashtag. However the later option seems to be limited to certain accounts based on my experience.
3. No, the API does not support pulling any private data about other users photos when using hashtag mode. All of the other modes allow all data to show however due to privacy laws, hashtag mode does not offer user information.

Hi,
I’m reading the manual that comes as an HTML file. I see in that manual that there are a lot of settings once the plugin is activated, but I don’t see them after activation. When I look in the dashboard of Wordpress at Instagram Journal, I only see a field to enter an “access token”. I did that and the feed appears neatly on my site, but the options are very limited and I see in the manual that more seems to be possible.
Is this a bug? Like to hear from you.

Hi I have bought the instagram Journal. I have inserted acces token pictures are shown correctly from IG account. But the plugin every time redirects directly to Instagram instead of showing preview like it is on your live preciew of the plugin. It doesnt even shows the name of the account as it is in your videos, and also in backend settings I am unable to see another settings. Thera are only basic setting where is inserted access token. I have watched all videos but cannot find solution.

Problem solved, a very old theme was the issue. I have a suggestion could it be possible to have different limits for mobile and desktop devices?

You will need a facebook page as the API runs purely through the facebook platform now. The facebook page can be hidden and complete just used for the purposes of authenticating.
